Suhbah 2022: Maulana Shaykh Mehmet Adil ar-Rabbani (303 suhbah, 650 pages, 25/50)

https://www.nvrislam.net/index.php?j=eng&post=6235
ry time I told you that I’m a very bad man, you did not believe. Look now, these people knew me. You see, these people knew, and you didn’t believe that you’re a bad one. Every time I told you, “O my Nafs, my ego you are bad, you are very bad.” You didn’t believe and you thought of yourself that you are something. Look, these people are saying the right thing. You deserve more than this.”
Is there any Sufi in these days that can do this? Masha’Allah our Sufis now swear at each other on the internet like this quickly (Mawlana laughs and motions a quick typing action with his fingers). Masha’Allah people in one minute write one page, I need half an hour to write two letters (Mawlana laughs). This is shaytan playing with us. Don’t listen to the one who says something (think)“Okay you can say anything, don’t worry, free country.” Leave them to say what they like to say. And you, only look at yourself. If you say, “Maybe this man is right. My Nafs, my ego is worse than what he said. May Allah جل جلاله forgive us”, this is good for you.
Insha’Allah may Allah جل جلاله make us to know more and more about Tariqah, about Tasawwuf, and about these good people: how they were behaving and what they were doing in this situation and in every situation in their lives.
The first one you must take example from is our Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam. When he صلى الله عليه وسلم wasn’t wasn’t happy with something, he صلى الله عليه وسلم was not shouting or saying anything . He صلى الله عليه وسلم kept silent so the Sahabah knew that the Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam was not happy with this . And he صلى الله عليه وسلم wasn’t even discussing it with somebody. He صلى الله عليه وسلم wasn’t happy with this. And he صلى الله عليه وسلم didn’t like to be with people who are shouting at each other. He صلى الله عليه وسلم was never shouting at any of the Sahabah. If he صلى الله عليه وسلم is not happy, he صلى الله عليه وسلم just keeps silent or leaves this place.
Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm,
لَّقَدْ كَانَ لَكُمْ فِى رَسُولِ ٱللَّهِ أُسْوَةٌ حَسَنَةٌ
‘’Laqad Kāna Lakum Fī Rasūli Llāhi ‘Uswatun Hasana’’
‘’There has certainly been for you in the Messenger of Allah an excellent example.’’ (Qur’ān 33:21).
Allah جل جلاله is saying about the Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam, “He is the best example for you.” May Allah جل جلاله make us to try to do this thing - we cannot (completely) because now in the days we are in, maybe you try but you forget many times, because all of what they’re putting on us is to make all the people discuss, shout and go against everything. May Allah جل جلاله help us and protect us from our bad character and from our ego insha’Allah.
May Allah جل جلاله give us good behavior and good character insha’Allah.
Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq. Al-Fatiha.

ASKING FORGIVENESS CLEANS OUR SOULS

28 June 2022/ 29 Dhu l-Qiʻdah 1443
Fajr Prayer – Sufland, German
ASalāmu ‘Alaykum wa Raḥmatullāhi wa Barakātuh.
A‘ūdhu Billāhi Minash-shayṭāni r-rajīm. Bismillāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm.
Wa ṣ-Salātu wa s-Salāmu ‘alá Rasūlinā Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-Awwalīna wa l-Akhirīn. Madad yā RasūlAllāh, Madad yā Sādāti Aṣḥābi Rasūlillāh, Madad yā Mashāyikhinā, Dastūr Mawlana Sheikh Abdullāh al-Fā’iz ad-Dāghistāni, Sheikh Muḥammad Nāẓim al-Ḥaqqānī. Madad.
Ṭarīqatunā aṣ-Suḥbah wa l-Khayru fi l-Jam‘iyyah.
Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm:
وَتُوبُوٓا۟ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ جَمِيعًا أَيُّهَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ
(Qur’ān 24:31).
‘‘Wa Tūbū ‘Ila Llāhi Jamī’āan ‘Ayyuhā Al-Mu’minūn’’
‘’And turn to Allah in repentance, all of you, O believers.’’
Allah جل جلاله orders us to repent and ask forgiveness from Him جل جلاله; “All of you”, He جل جلاله said. Everybody has some sin, some wrong thing because we are human beings, we are not angels. Every time, small or big, we can do a wrong thing or a sin . For this Allah جل جلاله orders us, “All of you, repent and ask forgiveness.” And He جل جلاله is the Most Merciful, He جل جلاله accepts insha’Allah.
Asking forgiveness for us is to clean our souls. What we do is like dirt and we must wash it. And we wash it with repentance and asking forgiveness from Allah جل جلاله.
Because this makes your sins to come on top of each other, it will be heaviness for you and darkness also. From the Mercy of Allah جل جلاله, He جل جلاله forgives. When you ask for forgiveness, He جل جلاله forgives you and makes you clean.
May Allah جل جلاله forgive us insha’Allah.
Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq. Al-Fatiha.

INNER BEAUTY IS THE REAL BEAUTY

26 June 2022/ 27
Dhu l-Qiʻdah 1443 Maghrib Prayer – Sufland, Germany
As-Salāmu ‘Alaykum wa Raḥmatullāhi wa Barakātuh.
A‘ūdhu Billāhi Minash-shayṭāni r-rajīm. Bismillāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm.
Wa ṣ-Salātu wa s-Salāmu ‘alá Rasūlinā Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-Awwalīna wa l-Akhirīn. Madad yā RasūlAllāh, Madad yā Sādāti Aṣḥābi Rasūlillāh, Madad yā Mashāyikhinā, Dastūr Mawlana Sheikh Abdullāh al-Fā’iz ad-Dāghistāni, Sheikh Muḥammad Nāẓim al-Ḥaqqānī. Madad.
Ṭarīqatunā aṣ-Suḥbah wa l-Khayru fi l-Jam‘iyyah.
Insha’Allah our gathering is for Allah جل جلاله. Allah جل جلاله bless you and bless us insha’Allah. AlhamduliLlah Allah جل جلاله gave us this favor: to be Muslim. Because people don’t know about this beauty. They try to imitate this beauty that Allah جل جلاله gave, and they think that they can make a better one. Allah جل جلاله loves beauty. The Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam says,
, “إنَّ اللهَ جَميلٌ يحِبُّ الجَمالَ”
“Allah جل جلاله is Beautiful and He جل جلاله loves beauty.”
Beauty must come from the inside and it goes outside; not from the outside coming inside, but from the inside going outside. The real Mu’mins and Muslims were doing this. They were giving beauty from the inside to the outside. Even in their buildings, their structures, their cities; beauty was hiding behind walls. It’s only a wall that you see, but if you go inside, you see a beautiful house or a beautiful place. Whereas the buildings of Non-Muslims are open on the outside so everybody can see. And they think that it’s very beautiful but when going inside, nothing.
Five days ago we were in a city in France, they said that there’s a palace near our place. My sister Hajjah Rukiyya likes old palaces. They told us that they want to take us there to see it. We went there. From the outside it was very nice, a good, big and strong building; it looks good and nice from the outside. When we went to go inside, they said that people from the government make it as a house for them, and they open it very few times for the public to see inside. I told Hajjah Rukiyya, “Don’t worry, the outside is nicer than the inside.” [Mawlana laughs]. There’s nothing inside. AlhamduliLlah we went today to a château here near a very nice lake; it’s a very good place. The scenery is very beautiful outside. We went inside, it was like the place they put horses or cows [Mawlana laughs].
People are only looking at the outside. Islam is looking at the inside. It is more important because when you have something inside, you are happy. If you are living in a place like the cows’ or horses’ place, then what’s the benefit of the outside being very beautiful? This [point] is not only for buildings. This is especially for those who take their religion, empty it from beauty and just put hard and difficult things. You don’t feel a good feeling [regarding that]. What’s the problem? It is because they don’t follow the real teaching of Sayyidina ‘Isa and Sayyidina Musa. They are not following this at all. They made up another thing. They [these prophets] are beautiful people. And where is this beauty coming from? It is from the beauty of Allah جل جلاله. And when they leave this beauty and they want to change as they like, there won’t any beauty anymore.
We have the same problem in Islam; they want to change this beauty to ugliness. There is an enemy or opposite for everything; for white there is black. The enemy of these people are Sufi people. All of these nice things happening are with the Sufi who are following and keeping this beauty from the Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam until today. And now we see everywhere, these people are making ugly buildings and ugly things. They like everything ugly, they don’t like beauty. And many people are cheated by them, and they show Islam as ugly.
For this, many Non-Muslim people, when you say Sufi, they are happy, they like it. Everybody likes it. Nobody says that this is ugly. Most people have no problem with Sufi. Sufi means who are exactly following the Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam. He’s صلى الله عليه وسلم the most beautiful one in this world and he صلى الله عليه وسلم likes beauty. And everything he’s صلى الله عليه وسلم done is to show us this beauty.
But when you say Islam, people run away. These ugly people made people think that Islam is ugly. It is the same with other people. Who loves reality, loves beauty and will find it insha’Allah.
You see that with money, you cannot get beauty. With money, you only get ugliness. Because there’s no sincerity and nothing good. And these people with this money, destroy the Ummah and destroy the world. So this money is not good. But there’s a short time [left] for these people. They cannot be for a long time because they are liars, and they don’t have a good behavior or good intention. There’s nothing good in these people. Maybe with money they survive a little bit, but when the money finishes, they will be finished.
This existed from the time of the Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam or even from the time of Adam ‘alayhi s-salam, this [confrontation] between beauty and ugliness. Peace is beauty, war is ugly. Musa ‘alayhi s-salam, Isa ‘alayhi s-salam, Dawud ‘alayhi s-salam, Yusha ‘alayhi s-salam, all of them were fighting ugliness. They didn’t want war. But for peace, they were defending and taking ugliness away from people.
So the chosen people whom Allah جل جلاله loves are showing people the way, the way of beauty, the way of happiness. Beauty means happiness. What’s important is the inner beauty. The inner beauty is the real beauty.
The outside is not important and it’s not forever. Inner beauty is forever. May Allah .جل جلاله give us all - AlhamduliLlah you have this. Insha’Allah may it be forever with us.
Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq. Al-Fatiha.

THE IMAN OF AWLIYAU’LLAH

27 June 2022/ 28 Dhu l-Qiʻdah 1443
Fajr Prayer – Sufiland ,Germany
As-Salāmu ‘Alaykum wa Raḥmatullāhi wa Barakātuh.
A‘ūdhu Billāhi Minash-shayṭāni r-rajīm. Bismillāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm.
Wa ṣ-Salātu wa s-Salāmu ‘alá Rasūlinā Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-Awwalīna wa l-Akhirīn. Madad yā RasūlAllāh, Madad yā Sādāti Aṣḥābi Rasūlillāh, Madad yā Mashāyikhinā, Dastūr Mawlana Sheikh Abdullāh al-Fā’iz ad-Dāghistāni, Sheikh Muḥammad Nāẓim al-Ḥaqqānī. Madad.
Ṭarīqatunā aṣ-Suḥbah wa l-Khayru fi l-Jam‘iyyah.
We are living in a time that’s difficult for the whole world. Before, it was for some countries and not for other countries. But now it’s difficult for the whole world. As a Mu’min, you must not be afraid from this. It is already known what Allah جل جلاله will give a person. When he’s in his in mother’s womb, Allah جل جلاله writes what he’ll get in this Dunya.
Awliyau’Llah are the only ones who are not afraid of that. Other people are all the time worried, “What will happen? What if we can’t find something to eat? We will not find something to drink.” Normal people are afraid but Awliyau’Llah are not afraid at all from this. Some of them if they get more, they get afraid, asking, “What happened? Maybe Allah جل جلاله is not happy with me so He جل جلاله gave me this.” Some of them are happy, they’re not asking.
One ‘Awliya from the center of Turkey, his name is Hamidu Vali known as Somuncu Baba, the father of bread; he baked bread. And he is the Sheikh of Hacı Bayram, a very famous one in Turkey also. Once one of his Murids who was big then was asking him for permission and blessings, Barakah to plant a land with wheat. Vali said to him, “Okay you have permission, but give me the first half of the land that you planted and the second half is for you.” The Murid was happy, he thought, “Okay why not. My Sheikh asked for half, it is a good thing for me to serve him and to help him.” They agreed and he planted this land. Sheikh Hamidu told him, “Divide the land in half; one part for you and one part for me. I must know which one is for me.” When the wheat grew, the wheat in the part of this Murid was very good and very strong, and the other side was very weak.
Then Sheikh Hamidu came and said, “Let me first look at what happened there.” He came and looked, there was one side that was very strong and in the other side there’s nearly nothing. He asked, “Which one is for me?” The Murid was very embarrassed and thought to himself, “What will I do, I’m ashamed to say that this is yours and that is mine.” He showed him the good part and told him, “This is yours and that is mine.” When the Sheikh saw this he didn’t become happy, he was very sad and not happy at all. He said, “What have I done to get this? What fault did I do that Allah جل جلاله gave me this?” He was very sad and very unhappy. So the Murid said, “I said that that is mine and this is yours just to make you happy but that wasn’t good also.”
Some of them were like this. They like to take the burden off people, to sacrifice themselves for helping people and not to be better than people. They know that this is a test. And if Allah جل جلاله tests them they are happy; if not, they are unhappy. From their Iman, they know that what Allah جل جلاله gives, nobody can prevent. This is what people are not understanding so they’re unhappy.
May Allah جل جلاله give us from their Iman insha’Allah; to accept and be happy all the time in insha'Allah. And to be happy with our Lord insha’Allah.
Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq. Al-Fatiha.

BE DISCIPLINED IN WORSHIP

25 June 2022/ 26 Dhu l-Qiʻdah 1443 Maghrib Prayer – Bruder Klaus, Switzerland
As-Salāmu ‘Alaykum wa Raḥmatullāhi wa Barakātuh.
A‘ūdhu Billāhi Minash-shayṭāni r-rajīm. Bismillāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm.
Wa ṣ-Salātu wa s-Salāmu ‘alá Rasūlinā Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-Awwalīna wa l-Akhirīn. Madad yā RasūlAllāh, Madad yā Sādāti Aṣḥābi Rasūlillāh, Madad yā Mashāyikhinā, Dastūr Mawlana Sheikh Abdullāh al-Fā’iz ad-Dāghistāni, Sheikh Muḥammad Nāẓim al-Ḥaqqānī. Madad.
Ṭarīqatunā aṣ-Suḥbah wa l-Khayru fi l-Jam‘iyyah.
The Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam mentions in many Hadiths:
“أَفْضَلُ الْأَعْمَالِ أَدْوَمُهَا وَإِنْ قَلَّ”
“The best of deeds are those that you do continuously even if little.”
Which means that the best thing you do is that which you are continuous in doing. Even if it is little but don’t cut it; make it all the time. Of course, there are in this country masha’Allah Muslims who weren’t born as Muslim. Most of them came to Islam after a certain age. They always have old habits and old customs, so they slowly slowly get used to Islam.
Mawlana was every time protecting them and saying about them “الْمُؤَلَّفَةِ قُلُوبُهُمْ”,
to make their hearts to be warm towards Islam. He was trying to make it easy for them, not to make it difficult. He was trying very much to make it interesting for them, to look after them and to make them happy. Not by making it difficult for them; to make them do what Muslims are normally doing. But alhamduliLlah they are, by themselves, interested in practicing everything. We know many of them who became Muslim maybe 10 days or one month before Ramadan, and then they fasted all of Ramadan. Some of them went to Hajj after two months of [entering] Islam. And Hajj is the most difficult thing even for Muslims; it is not easy. But alhamduliLlah these people were doing that by their love for Islam.
There are many things that they can do, but you are living in a country where it’s not easy. But here, the most important thing is discipline. As much as you can do, be continuous in what you do; praying, fasting. Maybe it’s sometimes difficult to pray; they can do as much as they can in their place insha’Allah. We’ve spent 3 days here together alhamduliLlah, and we did everything. For new people, they maybe thought that it must be like that all the time. No, Allah جل جلاله doesn’t burden people. As much as they can do, it is acceptable. This country has too much discipline. So who follows, even if very little, must put discipline for themselves to do what they want to do in the day, and to strongly hold on to it.
AlhamduliLlah in our life, we every time ask for new knowledge. Today alhamduliLlah we also learned many things. We learned that this country is [built] since 800 years, the oldest country in the world I think. It’s even built before the Ottoman Empire which they finished and destroyed. And now it is even a 100 years more than that. How did this happen? With the Barakah of Brother Klaus. Because he put them in discipline; he assigned exactly what everyone will do. They are very tough people, they don’t say “it’s okay” for anything. We come from a country where we say “Ma’lesh”, “it’s okay” for everything [Mawlana laughs]. It was difficult for us to understand this. It was until today that I understood very well the mentality of [the people of] Switzerland. If you say okay from here and okay from there, after that everything will be finished, nothing will be left. So they control their ego, their Nafs. It’s a strange thing for it to be like this in this world. It’s really interesting. And for us, it’s very unbelievable [Mawlana laughs]. Especially that they say, “Don’t interfere in another country. Don’t attack. Don’t ask for land, don’t ask for anything from others. This is your border, don’t go out and don’t let anybody inside.”
And people are looking after this very well, and looking after their country. 30 years ago, we came to Schweibenalp with Omar. He threw something on the street. After that, we saw one lady driving quickly in her car behind us. She stopped us and put this garbage in his clothes [Mawlana laughs]. For this, you see that everything is perfect. Because the habit of human beings is to follow the ego, so they like to do something not good all the time.
This is a very good example for us, especially the people of Tariqah, to put discipline for our lives. After that insha’Allah we will succeed. If you put this discipline and continue on it without bargaining with Allah جل جلاله [saying], “I made discipline, You must give me this”, it will open for those who do this insha’Allah.
The Prophets were doing this, without getting tired and without listening to anybody their whole life, every day from morning to evening. Many of them leave their house in the morning and go to call people. And people were hurting them, laughing at them, some of them even killing them. They did not sit. The next day will be the same.
Sayyidina Nuh ‘alayhi s-salam was calling his people for 900 years. He was doing this every day. He’s from the prophets of “Uli l-‘Azm” meaning from the most powerful prophets. Also the Sahabah, and after the Sahabah Awliyau’Llah and Mashayikh; they all have the same discipline. Most of them were not finding disciples, followers easily. We can say that all prophets were hurt by the people around them, but they were still doing this because this is an order from heaven, from Allah ‘Azza wa Jalla.
Maybe there are some exceptions like Sayyidina Sulaiman ‘alayhi s-salam who was different, and Dhu l-Qarnayn because they were kings. All the other prophets were suffering from people. What they suffered is [now] finished of course; the suffering and everything is finished. Now they are in the highest Maqam, station.
Even human beings the past two, three years were suffering very badly, suffering from this lockdown. And they were giving bad news every day, “Don’t go. Don’t come. Don’t do this. Put medicine in yourself, put that.” It was a really tough time for people. But now, what happened? Everybody forgot this, it’s finished. Who believes in Allah جل جلاله and took this as a test, won. In these two, three years, for what Mu’mins and Muslims were suffering -alhamduliLlah because this is coming from Allah جل جلاله, Allah جل جلاله rewards them. Others also forgot, but there’s nothing for them. This is the benefit of belief. When you believe in your Creator Allah ‘Azza waJalla and accept Him جل جلاله, you will be rewarded for everything you suffer. Others suffered and they maybe forgot, but there’s nothing for them.
For this, to even say Kalimah Shahadah, to enter Islam is sometimes enough for them to get all of this benefit. But shaytan doesn’t let people; even for this. Insha’Allah those who want to save themselves must accept this. And as much as they can do later, it’s okay. Insha’Allah may Allah جل جلاله give Hidayah/ guidance for these people. Because the clever one who thinks neutrally, accepts Islam.
But now of course, they show Islam as a terrible thing. But it is every good thing. It is good for human beings, for nature, for animals, for everything. Islam is more straight than the Swiss law. They are saying, “This one is Muslim.” Such Muslim is one thing and Islam is another. These Muslims are very away from Islam. They do what they like and after that they say: “This is Islam.” May Allah جل جلاله give Hidayah/guidance for us and for these people also.
Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq. Al-Fatiha.

THE MU’MIN IS A BELOVED ONE FOR ALLAH

25 June 2022/ 26 Dhu l-Qiʻdah 1443
Fajr Prayer – Bruder Klaus, Switzerland
As-Salāmu ‘Alaykum wa Raḥmatullāhi wa Barakātuh.
A‘ūdhu Billāhi Minash-shayṭāni r-rajīm. Bismillāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm.
Wa ṣ-Salātu wa s-Salāmu ‘alá Rasūlinā Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-Awwalīna wa l-Akhirīn. Madad yā RasūlAllāh, Madad yā Sādāti Aṣḥābi Rasūlillāh, Madad yā Mashāyikhinā, Dastūr Mawlana Sheikh Abdullāh al-Fā’iz ad-Dāghistāni, Sheikh Muḥammad Nāẓim al-Ḥaqqānī. Madad.
Ṭarīqatunā aṣ-Suḥbah wa l-Khayru fi l-Jam‘iyyah.
Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm:
أَلَآ إِنَّ أَوْلِيَآءَ ٱللَّهِ لَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ
(Qur’ān 10:62).
‘’Alā inna awliyā’a Llāhi lā khawfun a’layhim wa-lā hum yaḥzanūn’’,
‘‘Verily on the friends of Allah there is no fear, nor shall they grieve.’’
Allah جل جلاله says about His جل جلاله beloved ones that there is no fear for them and no sadness.
Of course there are levels between the beloved ones for Allah جل جلاله. Some of them are higher, some of them are less. But many people think that Awliyau’Llah are those who make Karamah/ miracles; no. Of course there are the big Awliyau’Llah who have Karamat, miracles. But it is not necessary to make Karamah and to show it to people to be a beloved one, an Awliyau’Llah.
Without this also, everyone can be a beloved one for Allah “إنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ”, Allah .جل جلاله loves the believers. And when He جل جلاله loves him, this means that he is a beloved one for Allah .جل جلاله
Belief is important. To be a believer, to be a Mu’min is higher than Muslim. The Mu’min is a beloved one for Allah جل جلاله. This is what Iman means: to believe in what we are not seeing, what the Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam tells us. We believe and accept this, so we become Mu’min.
The Muslim is who says Kalimah Shahadah; everyone is Muslim. But the Mu’min is higher, and as we said, becomes a beloved one for Allah جل جلاله. A Mu’min is who accepts what Allah جل جلاله sends and doesn’t ask, “Why this? Why that? Why this or that happened?” Normal Muslims or normal people say this. They even say in this century that you must ask about everything, you must know everything; you cannot. In belief, you must only accept without asking what is this and what is that.
One important point here is that Allah جل جلاله wi
