d which is to fight against the ego. To do that brings more virtue and grace of Allah ﷻ to people.

It is Ramadan now. In some countries, fasting is difficult for people. But they must fast, what can they do? So they are turning things upside down. They sleep during the day and are awake at night. Is such fasting accepted? It is. It is accepted, but the physical and spiritual benefits are much less. Apart from the benefits, some people fast, but they go to bed at Sahur time and sleep during the day. And they wake up close to Maghrib. What is it then? They pray Fajr, skip Dhuhr for sure, and they are asleep at Waqt al-Karahah/Disliked Time after ‘Asr. So what is the benefit then? They don’t get any of the benefits of fasting on the body as well.

Fasting is a great benefit for the health of the body. Our Holy Prophet ﷺ says, “صُومُوا تَصِحُّوا”, “Sumu tasihhu”, Fast and you’ll have good health. When it is done in the way mentioned before, there is no benefit. It doesn’t the remove the bad things in the body. If there are useless, unhealthy and ill cells, by the wisdom of Allah ﷻ, all of them are consumed by the body when the stomach is empty while fasting. When they are consumed, people get rid of them and get benefit, as the body functions better again. It is both energy for the body and cleansing from those things.

Otherwise, when eating and sleeping, it affects the body negatively, and it becomes worse. The advice of our Holy Prophet ﷺ is to make Qailulah when fasting, to take a mid-day nap. The Qailulah can be 15 minutes, 30 minutes, an hour, or two hours the most. It is better after Dhuhr, and before Dhuhr is fine too. But beware of sleeping after ‘Asr. Many people don’t know this. Sleeping after ‘Asr is not good. It is fine to sleep after Maghrib. But after ‘Asr, may Allah ﷻ protect us, it is a cause for insanity. Certainly, it is good to know for people who don’t know. The time after ‘Asr is normally two hours before Maghrib according to our Hanafi Madhhab, but they’ve made it longer now. Therefore, beware of sleeping in that time until two hours prior Maghrib.

Allah ‘Azza wa Jalla told us about these things in the smallest details through our Holy Prophet ﷺ. Whatever he ﷺ did, his ﷺ Sunnah is beneficial for mankind both physically and spiritually. Not only Muslims, but also non-Muslims are making research and looking into it. They accept it as true, but their egos don’t let them say the beautiful Kalimah Shahadah anyhow. May Allah ﷻ give strength to our Iman. And may there be guidance for people insha’Allah. Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq. Al-Fatiha.

The States of Mankind (10.04.2022)

“يَا مُحَوِّلَ الْحَوْلِ وَالْأَحْوَالِ حَوِّلْ حَالَنَا إلَى أَحْسَنِ حَال”, “Yā muḥawwila l-ḥawli wa l-aḥwāl ḥawwil ḥālanā ilā aḥsani l-ḥāl”, “O Transformer of States! Turn our situation to the best of situations!” The states are in the Hand of Allah ﷻ. So change our state for the better. It is a beautiful Dua.
As people live in this world, different states occur sometimes. Sometimes a man is happy, sometimes a man is sad, sometimes he is downhearted. These are the states in this world. Allah ‘Azza wa Jalla gave them as a test to people. Whoever passes this test saves his Akhirah and his Iman.
It looks like we are all in the same state here. But every person has a different state inside. Sometimes as we said, someone is in a good state; someone is in a bad state. People shouldn’t think that only they have it. Allah ‘Azza wa Jalla created people and gave the same things to mankind. He ﷻ gave the ego, He ﷻ gave the soul and He ﷻ gave the shape. But in the end, everyone, mankind is the same. Wherever they are in this world, their states are the same.
Everyone has a test. The most important in this test is to control the ego, not to be defeated by the ego. If someone says, “I am in a bad temper” and feels downhearted but goes on the way ordered by Allah ‘Azza wa Jalla, it will pass easily. But if he starts looking for alternative ways, then he won’t find anything on those ways except disappointment.
As we said, young or old, man or woman, everyone created by Allah ‘Azza wa Jalla from the children of Adam has it. And if you don’t want to have it, then you have to be like other creatures, for they don’t have any sadness or worry. Whereas, they are ready to be slaughtered every day. Some of them which are not given this honor are in a worse condition. Some of them are poisoned as they are nuisance. Some of them are killed. They have tests too. But as they are not accounted, they don’t live with that. They live as they like and are gone when they die.
But mankind is not like this. The duty of mankind is more different. Their tests have a result. And because of that, they have to accept it. Allah ﷻ gave them minds. He ﷻ gave them all kinds of high virtues. So they should think about it, rely on Allah ﷻ and keep on with their lives. They should never fall into hopelessness. ‘لَا تَقْنَطُوا مِن رَّحْمَةِ اللَّهِ’, ‘Lā taqnatū min Raḥmati Llāh’, ‘Do not despair of the mercy of Allah’. (Qur’ān 39:53). It is the order of Allah ﷻ. Beware of falling into hopelessness. “This is expensive. This is difficult. There is war.” These are the conditions of this world. These things happen in this world. Be with Allah ﷻ, and Allah ﷻ will help you. May Allah ﷻ help us. May we not be affected by these states insha’Allah. Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq. Al-Fatiha.

THE MONTH OF WORSHIP

09 April 2022/ 07 Ramadan 1443
Fajr Prayer, Akbaba Dergah
As-Salāmu ‘Alaykum wa Raḥmatullāhi wa Barakātuh.
A‘ūdhu Billāhi Minash-shayṭāni r-rajīm. Bismillāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm.
Wa ṣ-Salātu wa s-Salāmu ‘alá Rasūlinā Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-Awwalīna wa l-Akhirīn. Madad yā RasūlAllāh, Madad yā Sādāti Aṣḥābi Rasūlillāh, Madad yā Mashāyikhinā, Dastūr Mawlana Shaykh Abdullāh al-Fā’iz ad-Dāghistāni, Shaykh Muḥammad Nāẓim al- Ḥaqqānī. Madad.
Ṭarīqatunā aṣ-Suḥbah wa l-Khayru fi l-Jam‘iyyah.
Worship is from the holy Adab of the month of Ramadan. Ramadan is considered as the month of worship. Because everyone is Mukallāf. All Muslims are Mukallāf/ obliged to fast; meaning is Fard. After reaching Bulugh/ maturity, fasting is Fard. Many people fast within one month. Therefore, it is the month of worship. And as it is the month of worship, more mercy and Barakah of Allah جل جلاله descend in this month. That is why it has special beauty.
Praying is performed throughout the year. It is also Fard. It must be done every day. When it comes to Hajj, many people are unable to go. Very few can go. Therefore, Hajj is not once a year, but once in a lifetime. Therefore, the months of Dhul-Hijjah and Dhul-Qa’dah are not regarded as months of worship, because it [worship] is done only once. If you want to perform worship, you can go of course. And they accept one out of a thousand people [for Hajj] which they do by drawing lots.
The most important month for Muslims is the month of Ramadan, the month of Barakah. It has a lot of virtue. Therefore, Muslims give their Zakat in this month as well. Zakat can be given any time. But in order to avoid miscalculation, they give it in the month of Ramadan. And then there is Zakat al-Fitrah. These are the things that are Fard and Wajib. Also, there are the Nafl things. Many people make Khatm of Qur’an. They make Salawat, Tasbihat, they give Sadaqah and charity. This adds to the beauty of Ramadan even more.
Allah ‘Azza wa Jalla gives more Thawab compared to other months. It is for our benefit. The Barakah and beauty of this month are because of this. The more people worship, the more mercy descends on them. Allah جل جلاله gives His جل جلاله mercy to everyone.
He جل جلاله doesn’t fear that it will be less by giving. His جل جلاله treasure never finishes. The treasure of people finishes. But Allah جل جلاله is the Possessor of Endless Generosity. Everything is in His جل جلاله Hand. And He doesn’t fear that something will finish. Hāshā/ far from it. Therefore, as much as we can insha’Allah, we should do goodness, charity and worship. The more you do, the more gain you will get, and the more benefit you will have.
Other people say, “This worship has this benefit and that benefit”. It has. Our Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم says, “ُ صُومُوا تَصِحُّوا تُرْزَقُو”
Fast, and you will have health, and Rizq will come to you. Foreigners know that Islam is Haqq/ true, but they cannot accept it and submit to it anyhow. They say how beneficial fasting iَs for this and that disease. It is beneficial for everything. Our Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم is “صَادِقُ الوَعْدِ الأَمِينِ”, “Sadiq ul-Waad al- Amin”. He is the trustworthy and his word is certainly Haqq/ true. Therefore, they are researching and accepting the benefits of fasting on human body and human soul. However, they cannot anyhow follow it.
May Allah جل جلاله make us firm on this way. May the Barakah of our Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم be upon us. And may the Barakah of this holy month be upon us insha’Allah.
Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq. Al-Fatiha.

Don’t Waste the Blessings, (07.04.2022)

The world is going through hardship today. The whole world is in hardship from all aspects. Everyone thinks that they have hardship only in their country and not anywhere else. There is this hardship everywhere. Wherever you go, there are complaints; in Europe, in Africa, everywhere. People say that they have financial hardship and blame it on the government, whereas all of it is people’s fault. However you are, Allah ﷻ appoints the leader accordingly. And then there are the rules of Allah ‘Azza wa Jalla. If you don’t follow them, certainly, you will have hardship too.
Allah ‘Azza wa Jalla says, “Don’t waste!” Appreciate the Ni’mah/blessing. Our Holy Prophet ﷺ says that if the blessing is offended, it won’t come. Do not offend the blessing. If it gets offended, you won’t be able to find it. This is the Dunya. They think that the blessing comes from them. They don’t make Shukr to Allah ﷻ. They don’t appreciate it and don’t give to the people who deserve it by wasting it. And then they say, “Why did this happen? It is the government’s fault. It is the municipality’s fault, and this and that.” No one blames himself. Who will do it if you or someone else doesn’t do it? No one can do it. Everyone thinks like you. When everyone thinks like you, eventually, you will lose the blessing and won’t find it. May Allah ﷻ protect us.
This is the condition of this world. But no matter what you say, people are not repenting, and are not doing as Allah ‘Azza wa Jalla has ordered and as our Holy Prophet ﷺ had said. The blessing is an important thing. It is under the command of Allah ‘Azza wa Jalla. If He ﷻ takes it away, you won’t be able to find it. Neither your tractors, nor your machines; you can work as much as you want, if Allah ﷻ doesn’t give you, you won’t have it.
They are wasting everywhere, and throwing the blessing away. They are violating it. Not only in random countries, but also in the holiest land, in ‘Arafat we saw this. People are stepping on food and walking away. They are throwing it in the middle of the road. And then they are happy saying, “We are performing worship.”You have as much sin as your Thawab [for worship] there. But people don’t think about it. Kafirs and Muslims, all of them don’t appreciate the blessing.
There is also another trouble now. The whole world is having a shortage of food, oil and sugar. It is not only here, it is everywhere. Therefore, if you know its value, with the permission of Allah ﷻ you won’t have hardship. If you don’t appreciate it, you can strive as much as you can, you won’t find the blessing. May Allah ﷻ protect us. May Allah ﷻ make us among those who appreciate and know the value of the blessings insha’Allah. Shukr to Allah ﷻ for the blessings He ﷻ gives. Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq. Al-Fatiha.

THE VIRTUES OF READING SURAT AL-KAHF

08 April 2022/ 07 Ramadan 1443
Fajr Prayer, Akbaba Dergah
As-Salāmu ‘Alaykum wa Raḥmatullāhi wa Barakātuh.
A‘ūdhu Billāhi Minash-shayṭāni r-rajīm. Bismillāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm.
Wa ṣ-Salātu wa s-Salāmu ‘alá Rasūlinā Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-Awwalīna wa l-Akhirīn. Madad yā RasūlAllāh, Madad yā Sādāti Aṣḥābi Rasūlillāh, Madad yā Mashāyikhinā, Dastūr Mawlana Shaykh Abdullāh al-Fā’iz ad-Dāghistāni, Shaykh Muḥammad Nāẓim al- Ḥaqqānī. Madad.
Ṭarīqatunā aṣ-Suḥbah wa l-Khayru fi l-Jam‘iyyah.
Today is the holy day of Jum’ah. One Jum’ah and one week of Ramadan are over. Last Jum’ah was Sha’ban. And this time it fell on Ramadan. A week has passed, and today is the 7th of Ramadan. Holy Ramadan is passing very quickly.
Allah ‘Azza wa Jalla granted as a present the day of Jum’ah to the Ummah of our Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم with its blessings. Its virtues are very great. It has certain duties. Sunnah and Mustahabb were given by Allah ‘Azza wa Jalla to us to do them in order to reach more virtues and light. They were given as a present. One of them is Surat al-Kahf. Our Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم says that whoever reads it on Friday, Allah جل جلاله gives him light from that Friday until the next Friday as much as the distance from the East to the West. The light cannot be bought; these things should be done to have it. Therefore, whoever reads Surat al-Kahf every Friday attains great Thawab and virtues, both physically and spiritually.
Also, whoever reads the first and the last [ten] Ayat of Surat al-Kahf will be protected from the evil of Dajjal, says our Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم. He will be protected from his Fitnah. The appearance of Dajjal is near, as it is the end of times already. That is why we should read it for sure. If not all of it, read a couple of Ayat [from the beginning] and read the last [ten] Ayat. Read the last [ten] Ayat as well so that you are protected from this evil and Fitnah.
The signs of Dajjal have already appeared and have spread all over the world. The abnormal has become normal. And they are trying to make people do abnormal things by force. Therefore, in order to be protected from this Fitnah insha’Allah, to read the first and the last [ten] Ayat of Surat al-Kahf as we said, will protect us from this Fitnah with the advice of our Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم. Otherwise, you cannot be protected from this Fitnah by hiding or running away to here and there. It is possible only spiritually under the protection of Allah جل جلاله. Otherwise, nothing helps.
We see the condition of the world now. Therefore, it is a great favor. It is a great favor given to us by Allah ‘Azza wa Jalla. And in order to be protected, we should read it. As we said, even though Dajjal hasn’t appeared yet, his evil has spread. It has spread all over the world, may Allah جل جلاله protect us. There is not a single place where Fitnah hasn’t reached.
The word of our Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم is Haqq/ true and right. He صلى الله عليه وسلم says that there is a blind animal living somewhere, and Fitnah will even find him. And in order to be protected from Fitnah, there are Surahs and Ayat. They are the biggest protection. There are Ayat for protection. And as we said, in order to be protected from Friday to Friday, keep reading them insha’Allah.
May Allah جل جلاله protect all of us from Fitnah. May He جل جلاله let us reach Madhi ‘alayhi s-salam safely insha’Allah.
Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq. Al-Fatiha.

There are recited Qur’an Khatms sent by our brothers from all over the world. May Allah جل جلاله be pleased with them. There are Yasins, Surahs, Ayat, Salawat, Tasbihat, Tahlil and Takbir.
We dedicate them first of all to the soul of our Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم, to all his Ahlu l-Bayt and Sahabah, to the souls of all Anbiya, Awliya, Asfiya and Mashayikh, especially to the soul of our Shaykh Mawlana Shaykh Nazim, to the souls of all of our deceased relatives.
With the intention of goodness to come and protection from evil, may Allah جل جلاله accept them.
Li-Llahi Ta’ala, Al-Fatiha.

THE ATTRIBUTE OF HUMANITY IS ONLY WITH ISLAM

06 April 2022/ 05 Ramadan 1443
Fajr Prayer, Akbaba Dergah
As-Salāmu ‘Alaykum wa Raḥmatullāhi wa Barakātuh.
A‘ūdhu Billāhi Minash-shayṭāni r-rajīm. Bismillāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm.
Wa ṣ-Salātu wa s-Salāmu ‘alá Rasūlinā Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-Awwalīna wa l-Akhirīn. Madad yā RasūlAllāh, Madad yā Sādāti Aṣḥābi Rasūlillāh, Madad yā Mashāyikhinā, Dastūr Mawlana Shaykh Abdullāh al-Fā’iz ad-Dāghistāni, Shaykh Muḥammad Nāẓim al- Ḥaqqānī. Madad.
Ṭarīqatunā aṣ-Suḥbah wa l-Khayru fi l-Jam‘iyyah.
There is a lot of beauty in the holy month of Ramadan. It is always a means to goodness. Once our Holy Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam said, “Resentment of a Muslim to another Muslim for over three days is not acceptable.” Therefore, when Ramadan came in old times, people who are resent each other made peace, and their affinity increased.
For the pleasure of Allah جل جلاله, if there is not big reason to be resentful, this should be done. And the big reason is Fitnah, or people who make others adopt bad habits and get used to bad things. To talk to such people is not acceptable. They should be cast out. Otherwise, because of tiny reasons, there should not be any resentment. That is not acceptable if longer than three days.
Even if there is not much communication, there should be some greeting. Even though resentful, some people greet others. And when someone doesn’t return the greeting, he commits a sin. To greet someone is Sunnah, but to return the greeting is Fard. To say “Wa ‘alaykum s-salam” is Fard. When someone from the Jama’ah says “Wa ‘alaykum s-salam”, the rest are exempt from this Fard. But when it is said one to one and the other doesn’t return it, then he commits a sin.
People of old times knew the ‘Aadaab/ etiquette and principles of everything. But nowadays, let alone children, even adults have forgotten ‘Aadaab/ etiquette and manners. In old times, there was ‘Aadaab al Mu’asharah/ Etiquette of social relations. And now there is not. Everyone is strange and devoid of human qualities now. There are many people, but there isn’t the attribute of humanity anymore. May Allah جل جلاله protect us.
The attribute of humanity is with Islam. Humanity appears with Islamic Adab. Otherwise, without Islamic Adab, don’t look for humanity. Don’t look for humanity but look for personal interest. Look for hypocrisy and look for badness, nothing else.
Therefore, as we said, in order to have all the kinds of beauty in this holy month, Allah ‘Azza wa Jalla gave a special manifestation to it. He gave a special quality to the month of Ramadan.
Therefore, people who honor it will have their share of this manifestation and this quality insha’Allah. May Allah جل جلاله bless it. Insha’Allah may it be a means for goodness.
May we attain the attribute of humanity insha’Allah.
Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq. Al-Fatiha.

An Unbreakable Support for Muslims [05/04/2022]

“Sayyidina Imam Al-Busiri is one of the great Awliya and he wrote Qaṣīdat al-Burda. There is a verse in it which Grandshaykh Mawlana Shaykh AbduLlah ad-Daghestani used to repeat. “بُشْرى لَنَا مَعْشَرَ الْإِسْلَامِ إِنّ لَنَا، مِنَ العِنَايِةِ رُكْنًا غَيْرَ مُنْهَدِمِ”, “Good tidings for you in Islam, for you always have an unbreakable support and grace from Allah ‘Azza wa Jalla. He ﷻ will save you here and hereafter”. That is the good tidings. The news is that you will be saved. There is always an unbreakable support behind you. The grace, kindness and favors of Allah ﷻ are together with Muslims.
This is a great favor that Allah ‘Azza wa Jalla gives to someone who believes in Him ﷻ. It is a great good tidings for people who follow the way. It doesn’t break down. Everything destructs, but it doesn’t. All of the Kufr and those who believe that they control the world, none of them are useful. They are not even as a wing of a mosquito next to the Power of Allah ‘Azza wa Jalla. Therefore, this verse from the Qasidah of Awliyau’Llah is very beautiful.
‎“بُشْرى لَنَا مَعْشَرَ الْإِسْلَامِ إِنّ لَنَا، مِنَ العِنَايِةِ رُكْنًا غَيْرَ مُنْهَدِمِ”
Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla has given the best things to Muslims in this world as well. But unfortunately, Muslims don’t appreciate it. They think that the things others possess are better than theirs. Nothing and no one is better than what we have. And even in this world, in countries and lands where Muslims live, Allah ‘Azza wa Jalla gave Barakah there. He gave all kinds of beauty. As they don’t appreciate it, they are in such a condition.
Therefore, we have to make Shukr to Allah ﷻ. And we have to appreciate the favors He ﷻgave us. We shouldn’t waste them. May Allah ﷻ help Muslims insha’Allah. May they understand how great their favors are insha’Allah. Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq. Al-Fatiha.”

Ṭarīqatunā aṣ-Suḥbah wa l-Khayru fi l-Jam‘iyyah.
Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm:
(Qur’ān 02:183).
‘‘Yā ayyuhā lladhīna āmanū kutiba ‘alaykumu l-ṣiyāmu kamā kutiba ‘alā lladhīna min qablikum’’
‘’O you who have believed, decreed upon you is fasting as it was decreed upon those before you.’’
Allah ‘Azza wa Jalla is saying in Qur’an ‘Azimu sh-Shan, “Fasting is made Fard for you, as it was Fard for those before you”. Fasting is not only in Islam. All of them are Muslim – There was fasting for the nations of all Prophets. Not only with the last Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم, but it was present even before him. Their fasting was actually much more difficult than ours. They broke their fast only once and kept on fasting. It was not from the evening until Sahur. They broke their fast in the evening and made intention to fast again. So they fasted for 23 hours, if they ate for an hour, and continued to fast on. Allah ‘Azza wa Jalla made it less for us. Their times were longer. Some of them used to sometimes fast for six months.
Fasting was given like this to mankind to train their egos. When should we start it? In old times, people made children love it, as they were always together during the meals. And by watching, children saw Sahur and Iftar. So they had interest and desire to fast. Firstly, they let kids fast for half a day by giving them presents. They used to make children happy in Ramadan. When they were seven or eight years old, they would fast for half a day, or a full day, or as long as they could. Then they get used to fasting.
When the time of Ramadan comes and they are Bāligh/ mature, it becomes Fard for them. For the rest, it is not Fard. Before a child becomes Bāligh/ mature, nothing is Fard for him. What’s Fard for him is only to say Kalimatu Shahadah. Praying, fasting and all of this are not Fard for him yet. But he should perform them, because they are orders.Especially praying, it should be started at seven years so that he certainly prays at ten years; our Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم says so.
Fasting is not like this. It should be taught with love. When they become Bāligh/ mature, it becomes Fard. And they will be accounted for it just like adults. When they are Bāligh/ mature, they will understand their Thawab and sins, because they are not children anymore but grown-
