ups then. They are Mukallāf/ responsible then. Mukallāf means they should do the things that Allah ‘Azza wa Jalla made Fard. If they don’t do them, they will be punished for it. There is no punishment before that for children who are not Bāligh/ mature. Who else won’t be punished? People who are insane. They are not Mukallāf/ responsible. But if they are sane, they should fast and do the rest.
When do children become Bāligh/ mature? It is not like they say in the modern world when they reach eighteen years of age, but when they reach Bulugh/ puberty. For girls, it is when their menstruation starts. They become Mukallāf/ responsible then. When they are 13-15 years old, it becomes Fard for them.
Families and people nowadays are not encouraging their children. They say, “My child shouldn’t miss school. He shouldn’t fail the exam”. We have witnessed it many times that they didn’t let their children fast because of an exam, whereas they were 17-18 years old. Their sins are upon you, upon both you and them. Because they are Bāligh/ mature already, so they should do it. They now say that everything has a punishment after the age of 18. It’s not like that. When they become mature or reach Bulugh/ puberty, it can be even at 12 years, it is Fard for them then.
Therefore, people and families should pay attention to this. The religion is not according to your minds. It is as Allah ‘Azza wa Jalla ordered it and as our Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم conveyed it. As we said, if children get used to it when they are young, it will be easy for them when they are Bāligh/ mature. They will have started fasting Ramadan and praying beforehand. But otherwise, it will be very difficult when they start, and they will be deprived from a lot of Thawab.
May Allah جل جلاله grant us these beauties. May He جل جلاله grant this beautiful worship to children and everyone insha’Allah.
Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq. Al-Fatiha.

THE SULTAN OF MONTHS

03 April 2022/ 02 Ramadan 1443
Fajr Prayer, Akbaba Dergah
As-Salāmu ‘Alaykum wa Raḥmatullāhi wa Barakātuh.
A‘ūdhu Billāhi Minash-shayṭāni r-rajīm. Bismillāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm.
Wa ṣ-Salātu wa s-Salāmu ‘alá Rasūlinā Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-Awwalīna wa l-Akhirīn. Madad yā RasūlAllāh, Madad yā Sādāti Aṣḥābi Rasūlillāh, Madad yā Mashāyikhinā, Dastūr Mawlana Shaykh Abdullāh al-Fā’iz ad-Dāghistāni, Shaykh Muḥammad Nāẓim al- Ḥaqqānī. Madad.
Ṭarīqatunā aṣ-Suḥbah wa l-Khayru fi l-Jam‘iyyah.
The beauty of the holy month of Ramadan comes from the abundance of worship in it. Therefore, compared to other months, it is different. It is more beautiful for people and believers. Of course, there are other months, and all of them are blessed. But Allah ‘Azza wa Jalla made this month of Ramadan special to the Ummah of our Holy Prophet .صلى الله عليه
Allah ‘Azza wa Jalla says, “Rajab is My month”. Sha’ban is the month of our Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم. And this month is the month of the Ummah. Therefore, we were ordered to perform more worship. It is a present for us. The more orders people carry out, the more presents will believers attain. This beauty given by Allah جل جلاله comes from that.
They call it the Sultan of the eleven months. Indeed, the month of Ramadan is so. There is fasting and there is Sahur. Sahur is considered a Nafl worship. Fasting without Sahur is possible, but our Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم tells us to have Sahur. Even to get up to drink water is also considered Sahur. Who eats from the night before and does not get up from his bed misses Sahur. He deprives himself from this Barakah and Thawab, and it is more difficult. Everything that Allah ‘Azza wa Jalla and our Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم show us are of benefit for us both spiritually and physically. That is why Sahur is important. To have it is good.
After that, there is fasting. And then there is Tarawih prayer after ‘Isha. It is Sunnah of our Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم. Of course, during the time of our Holy Prophet sallaLlāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam, in order not to make it Fard, he used to pray it once or twice in Jama’ah and complete it at home. They started praying it in Jama’ah later during the time of Sayyidina Omar radiya Llahu ‘anhu. It is Sunnah of our Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم and Sunnah of Khulafāʾi Rāshideen; they are the same.
Tarawih is prayed as twenty Rakaʿāt. They have made up new things now like “We can skip it, or pray it less.” It had been prayed as twenty Rakaʿāt for centuries. Only lately in the end of times, with the Fitnah of shaytan, they started saying, “We should pray eight Rakaʿāt. Arabs pray so”. How do Arabs pray it? If you want to do like Arabs do, they pray twenty Rakaʿāt in Ka’bah. They pray twenty Rakaʿāt in Madina Munawwarah. And they make it with Khatm. Do it like them then. They say, “No. Eight Rakaʿāt are enough”.
Shaytan is doing everything he can so that people attain less virtue. There are many people who don’t pray and who don’t fast anyway. He says, “They are already in our hands”. Shaytan and his associates are striving so that these people are deprived from virtues too. We shouldn’t listen to them. The more worship we do in this month, the more virtues it brings insha’Allah.
May Allah جل جلاله bless it and may Allah جل جلاله increase its Barakah insha’Allah.
Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq. Al-Fatiha.

BENEFITS OF FASTING

02 April 2022/ 01 Ramadan 1443
Fajr Prayer, Akbaba Dergah
As-Salāmu ‘Alaykum wa Raḥmatullāhi wa Barakātuh.
A‘ūdhu Billāhi Minash-shayṭāni r-rajīm. Bismillāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm.
Wa ṣ-Salātu wa s-Salāmu ‘alá Rasūlinā Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-Awwalīna wa l-Akhirīn. Madad yā RasūlAllāh, Madad yā Sādāti Aṣḥābi Rasūlillāh, Madad yā Mashāyikhinā, Dastūr Mawlana Shaykh Abdullāh al-Fā’iz ad-Dāghistāni, Shaykh Muḥammad Nāẓim al- Ḥaqqānī. Madad.
Ṭarīqatunā aṣ-Suḥbah wa l-Khayru fi l-Jam‘iyyah.
This beautiful month has started insha’Allah. May the month of Ramadan be good and abundant. The pillars of Islam are belief in the Oneness of Allah جل جلاله, then prayer, Zakat, fasting and then performing Hajj for those who can do it. Fasting is one of the important worships. The reason for its importance is because Allah ‘Azza wa Jalla wanted goodness for us. Whoever performs this worship gains first of all spiritually and then physically.
Our Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم says,
“صُومُوا تَصِحُّوا”.
Fast and attain health. All of the orders that Allah ‘Azza wa Jalla gave us are for our benefit, for the benefit of people. The worship of fasting is difficult for many people. However, it has great benefits. As we said, first of all, it has spiritual benefits. It suppresses the ego of a person, it breaks down the ego. There is nothing stronger for breaking the ego of a person than fasting. There is not a stronger worship for taking the ego under control than the worship of fasting.
Because when Allah ‘Azza wa Jalla created the ego, He جل جلاله asked, “Who are you? And who am I?” The ego said, “You are you (Hāshā/ far from it). And I am me”. Allah ‘Azza wa Jalla came against it and captured it in darkness for very long time. The ego persisted, “You are you. And I am me”. Allah ‘Azza wa Jalla imprisoned it again. At last, He جل جلاله made it fast and left it in hunger. Of course, there was no body then, only the ego. He جل جلاله showed the manifestation of fasting and hunger to it. When it broke the fast, it said, “You are my Lord”. Only with hunger it straightened up.
Therefore, fasting is a powerful worship. People are now doing research and discovering so many benefits for people’s health. Of course! Every worship has both spiritual and physical benefits. Fasting, praying and giving Zakat have benefits for our bodies as well. There is no worship without benefit. Allah ‘Azza wa Jalla ordered them in order for people to have both spiritual and physical benefits. Allah ‘Azza wa Jalla doesn’t need anyone. If you do them, you earn so much Thawab. And alongside Thawab, you attain strong health. Worship is beneficial for you, for your body flow, for your mind and for every atom of your body.
People who don’t perform worship are people without souls and without Nur/light. They are miserable people who are defeated and captured by their egos.
Sometimes we see people cannot fast in Muslim countries. We said they cannot, whereas there are many people who are controlled by their egos. May Allah جل جلاله give them guidance so that they control their egos. May they not be donkeys of their egos. May they ride on their egos and not their egos ride on them. May this holy month be blessed from now, and be a means for goodness.
We have entered a month of Nur, a beautiful month. May it be blessed for us all.
Al-Fatiha.

THE BEAUTY OF RAMADAN

01 April 2022/ 29 Sha’ban 1443
Fajr Prayer, Akbaba Dergah
As-Salāmu ‘Alaykum wa Raḥmatullāhi wa Barakātuh.
A‘ūdhu Billāhi Minash-shayṭāni r-rajīm. Bismillāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm.
Wa ṣ-Salātu wa s-Salāmu ‘alá Rasūlinā Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-Awwalīna wa l-Akhirīn. Madad yā RasūlAllāh, Madad yā Sādāti Aṣḥābi Rasūlillāh, Madad yā Mashāyikhinā, Dastūr Mawlana Shaykh Abdullāh al-Fā’iz ad-Dāghistāni, Shaykh Muḥammad Nāẓim al- Ḥaqqānī. Madad.
Ṭarīqatunā aṣ-Suḥbah wa l-Khayru fi l-Jam‘iyyah.
A Dua of our Holy Prophet ,صلى الله عليه وسلم
“اللَّهُمَّ بَارِكْ لَنَا فِي رَجَبٍ وَشَعْبَانَ وَبلغنا رَمَضَانَ”,
“O God, bless us in Rajab and Sha’ban and bring us to Ramadan.” Insha’Allah we attained Rajab and Sha’ban, and may we enter the month of Ramadan with Barakah insha’Allah.
Today is the day of Jum’ah. It is Jum’ah and insha’Allah tonight there will be Tarawih and the beginning of Ramadan. As we said yesterday, its condition is to see the crescent moon. As we don’t see the crescent, we follow whatever the government, Ulu l- ‘Amr say. We act based on that. And Allah جل جلاله said to obey Ulu l-‘Amr. We have to obey Ulu l-‘Amr in these things, because there is nothing you can do. Many people don’t even know where the moon appears from and where it sets.
Therefore, we follow Ulu l-‘Amr. According to their calculations, insha’Allah it is tomorrow, and it starts tonight. At Maghrib, the holy month of Ramadan will begin. And after ‘Isha, we will pray Tarawih insha’Allah. May it be full of Barakah. That’s the Du’a of our Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم, regarding Barakah.
These three months are blessed months. Especially, the month of Ramadan which is more different. Allah ‘Azza wa Jalla granted more beauties to it, as it is the month of the Ummah. Wherever you are, you feel that beauty; whether in Muslim countries, or non-Muslim countries, everywhere. People who fast and pray Tarawih attain that happiness. They attain that beauty. Allah ‘Azza wa Jalla gives such big favors to them even in this world that no other people can find except those who fast and pray Tarawih in Ramadan.
The month of Ramadan is the month of happiness and beauty. People say in the beginning, “There is fasting and Tarawih now. How will we do it?” But when they get that beautiful taste, they feel sad when it is over.
Therefore Shukr to Allah جل جلاله, Allah جل جلاله has given us great favors. He جل جلاله gave us the favor of Iman. These beauties are given through it. When we don’t have it, nothing has any benefit and nothing has any beauty. There are favors, but the greatest favor is Iman. When you have it, you are complete. When you don’t have it, you are not [only] incomplete, but you are nothing. Your life is useless. You live for nothing. And in the end, there will be disappointment and suffering.
May Allah جل جلاله protect us. May Allah جل جلاله bless this Ramadan. May it become a means for strong Iman.
People are running away. They think that they are doing something important and that they are smart. People who run away from religion and worship are not aware of what they lose. May Allah جل جلاله help us. May it be blessed for all of us insha’Allah.
Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq. Al-Fatiha.
There are recited Qur’an Khatms, Yasin, Surahs and Ayat, Salawat and Tasbihat. They have recited from all over the world. May Allah جل جلاله be pleased with them, they have gifted it.
We dedicate their gift firstly to our Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم, to his Ahlu l-Bayt and Sahahah, to the souls of all Anbiya, Awliya and Mashayikh, to the souls of believers and the deceased relatives.
May those who have recited them reach their good goals. May they be happy here and hereafter, and all of us insha’Allah. May Allah جل جلاله accept it insha’Allah and make it last.
Al-Fatiha.

AWAITING MAHDI (AS)

31 March 2022/ 28 Sha’ban 1443
Fajr Prayer, Akbaba Dergah
As-Salāmu ‘Alaykum wa Raḥmatullāhi wa Barakātuh.
A‘ūdhu Billāhi Minash-shayṭāni r-rajīm. Bismillāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm.
Wa ṣ-Salātu wa s-Salāmu ‘alá Rasūlinā Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-Awwalīna wa l-Akhirīn. Madad yā RasūlAllāh, Madad yā Sādāti Aṣḥābi Rasūlillāh, Madad yā Mashāyikhinā, Dastūr Mawlana Shaykh Abdullāh al-Fā’iz ad-Dāghistāni, Shaykh Muḥammad Nāẓim al- Ḥaqqānī. Madad.
Ṭarīqatunā aṣ-Suḥbah wa l-Khayru fi l-Jam‘iyyah.

Shukr to Allah جل جلاله, we are reaching the end of the month of Sha’ban today. Tonight we pray ‘Isha, and tomorrow night there will be Tarawih prayer insha’Allah. Usually, according to the lunar calendar, we have to see the moon. There should be a crescent, of course. The moon will not show; there must be a thin crescent. The month is detected by seeing it.
Nowadays, there is no such possibility. There are mountains etc. Therefore, calculations were made on how it appears. Insha’Allah as there is Hajj ul-Akbar this year, it is accurate. When Yawmu ‘Arafah is on Friday, there is Hajj ul-Akbar. Therefore, it is this year insha’Allah. It was usually once every seven years. But this time it is very late. Sometimes it happened sooner. But this year it has completed seven full years. This year, there is Hajj ul-Akbar.
Insha’Allah when Ramadan starts on Saturday, Eid is also on Saturday, and the 1st of Muharram will also be Saturday. It is a known thing. Our Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم says,
”يَوْمُ صَوْمِكُمْ يَوْمُ نَحْرِكُمْ يَوْمُ دَهْرِكُمْ”.
The beginning of fasting, the slaughtering of Qurban and the beginning of the year is on the same day, says our Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم. Therefore, insha’Allah this year will be full of Barakah and it will be good.
Mawlana Shaykh Nazim said that Mahdi ʿalayhi s-salām will appear in the year of Hajj ul-Akbar.
Insha’Allah there will be his appearance. Allahu A’lam, Allah جل جلاله knows. No one knows the unseen except Allah جل جلاله. What’s important is to wait for his being. Our belief, the belief of Ahlu s-Sunnah wa l-Jama’ah requires waiting for his appearance and believing in it. Who doesn’t believe in it is not from Ahlu s-Sunnah. He is from something else. Because it is among the signs of the end of times and the good tidings of our Holy Prophet .صلى الله عليه وسلم
Mawlana Shaykh Nazim waited for him for sixty years day and night. He waited for him with such longing without waiting for Hajj ul-Akbar. Certainly, he attained its Thawab. Because waiting for him is like people waiting on the way of Allah جل جلاله, people waiting as guards at the borders. They are people who wait for Mahdi ʿalayhi s-salām in order to be with him. Mawlana Shaykh Nazim didn’t wait for nothing. It is a lesson for us. We should wait for him too.
Everything signs at it. At least, we will wait as there is Hajj ul-Akbar, as it was already told as good tidings insha’Allah. We will wait insha’Allah from morning till evening. The Power of Allah ‘Azza wa Jalla doesn’t fit our minds. Whenever Allah جل جلاله wants, He says, “كُن فَيَكُونُ”
, “Kun fa’yakun”, Be,and it is.” (Qur’ān 36:82).
Between two letters [كن]. Not until we blink, but even before that, Allah ‘Azza wa Jalla can create new worlds ten times, million times greater than the universe. Our minds cannot comprehend or reach His جل جلاله Power.
Therefore, insha’Allah these years will be the years of Islam. Now we are living in the time of the worst darkness, second Jahiliyyah/ Age of Ignorance. As we said, it is much worse than the first Jahiliyyah. During the first Jahiliyyah, at least there was a bit of manners and good behavior. But people of the present time are all even outdoing shaytan. Allah جل جلاله will certainly send a being who will clean this dirt insha’Allah. We hope that it happens soon insha’Allah, because all the signs and everything are showing that it is close. Nevertheless, Allah جل جلاله knows, Allahu A’lam.
May Allah جل جلاله let us reach these beautiful days insha’Allah. Our intention is to wait for him. And may we attain its virtues insha’Allah.
Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq. Al-Fatiha.

Guard Allah’s ﷻ Favors (30.03.2022)

Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm:
(Qur’ān 06:32). ‘Wa mā l-hayāatu d-Dunyā illā la’ibun wa lahwun wa la’d-dāru l-Akhiratu khayrun lil-ladhīna yattaqūn’, ‘And the worldly life is not but amusement and diversion; but the home of the Hereafter is best for those who fear Allah.’ Allah ‘Azza wa Jalla says that this world is amusement and entertainment, and the Akhirah is good for people who do goodness, people who fear Allah ﷻ; it is better.
People come to this world and pass away. We should ask that Allah ﷻ gives goodness. We are dying every day in this world and Allah ‘Azza wa Jalla is reviving us. When you go to bed at night, you die. And when you wake up in the morning, you are revived once again by Allah ‘Azza wa Jalla.
This is a lesson for people. But there are very few people who will take that lesson. Most of them are getting trapped in games and entertainment. Those people don’t know what they were created for. Some of them don’t want to know at all. They think “This is how we came. We came from nothing, and we will return to nothing”. Whereas Allah ‘Azza wa Jalla has given mind to everyone so that they think and contemplate. Allah ﷻ created mankind as the greatest and most honorable in order to reach the highest ranks. But they leave that and want to go down to the lowest ranks.
Allah ﷻ has given you everything. You should guard these given favors. If you don’t guard them, you commit a sin. This is the condition of people now. When they get everything, they ask for more. They think there is much more. And when they don’t obtain it, they acquire bad habits. Unfortunately, mankind has all kinds of bad habits. They cause harm to both themselves and others. However, Allah ‘Azza wa Jalla will question this in Akhirah. Therefore, we should repent. People who’ve got these habits should remember Allah ‘Azza wa Jalla, they should remember Akhirah in order to quit these dirty habits. It is not a good thing.
People of this kind are increasing all over the world. Why is it so? It is because of the lack of Iman and lack of belief. People who believe in Allah ﷻ don’t do such things. They stay away from them and know the value of Allah’s ﷻ favors. And the biggest favor, the biggest trust is your body. You should guard it against these poison, these bad habits both physically and spiritually.
Sin is a poison to people, not a benefit. It is of no benefit. “I’ve done it for so many years”. Does it have any benefit? No. It is nothing but harm and poison. You should quit it. They say that to revert from loss at any point is already a profit. People may quit now as well so that their Akhirah is saved. Their bodies are full of poison in this world. But even though they drank it, their sins will be gone. They should save their spirituality now and turn to Allah ﷻ insha’Allah.
May Allah ﷻ protect us. Youngsters and adults, everyone is running after their egos all over the world now. They are unable to quit their bad habits. May Allah ﷻ help them. May Allah ﷻprotect them. May Allah ﷻ give guidance to those who do these things so that they repent and turn to Allah ﷻ insha’Allah. Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq. Al-Fatiha.

VALUE THESE HOLY DAYS

28 March 2022/ 25 Sha’ban 1443
Fajr Prayer, Akbaba Dergah
As-Salāmu ‘Alaykum wa Raḥmatullāhi wa Barakātuh.
A‘ūdhu Billāhi Minash-shayṭāni r-rajīm. Bismillāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm.
Wa ṣ-Salātu wa s-Salāmu ‘alá Rasūlinā Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-Awwalīna wa l-Akhirīn. Madad yā RasūlAllāh, Madad yā Sādāti Aṣḥābi Rasūlillāh, Madad yā Mashāyikhinā, Dastūr Mawlana Shaykh Abdullāh al-Fā’iz ad-Dāghistāni, Shaykh Muḥammad Nāẓim al- Ḥaqqānī. Madad.
Ṭarīqatunā aṣ-Suḥbah wa l-Khayru fi l-Jam‘iyyah.

The second of the three holy months, Sha’ban al Mu’azzam has passed instantly. Just a little is left. Insha’Allah we are approaching Ramadan. Our Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said: تَقَاْرُبُ الزَمَاْن
about the end of times .
Our Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم is pointing that the time is passing very quickly. Time is passing instantly. You assume that Rajab, Sha’ban and Ramadan of last year have just ended. But they have come again. And Hajj is coming afterwards, and it is the same with that.
Days are passing instantly. Therefore, don’t have too much hope. Our Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم says, “طُولِ الأَمَلِ”
“Incessant hope”. When a person says “I will live a long life”, it leads to disappointment. While there is time and chance, we should value them all. We should spend them by doing useful things. Life is passing instantly. Therefore, we should benefit from these holy days. We should value them, and we should attain their virtues.
Shukr to Allah جل جلاله, Mawlana Shaykh Nazim taught us about these three holy months being more precious when we were children. We were living in Damascus then. When the three months started, he would always go to Cyprus. At that time, we didn’t have a house or Dergah in Cyprus. But these three months used to be revived by going from village to village and from town to town. People used to know their value, and it was much more different than now. Even people who committed sins and drank alcohol used to quit during these three months up until the three months were over. There was respect and fear of Allah جل جلاله. There was honor for these months. Therefore, Allah جل جلاله gave Barakah.
Many people nowadays don’t even know about Ramadan, let alone the three months. They don’t care about fasting Ramadan. Are they in profit? No, they are not. Those who honor it are in profit
BismiLlahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim
وَمَن يُعَظِّمْ شَعَـٰٓئِرَ ٱللَّهِ فَإِنَّهَا مِن تَقْوَى ٱلْقُلُوبِ
“Wa man yu’azzim sha’ā’ira Allāhi fa innahā min taqwa l-qulūb”
“And whoever honors the symbols of Allah - indeed, it is from the piety of hearts.” (Qur’ān 22:32).
Allah ‘Azza wa Jalla is saying in the Qur’an that those who honor these months are from the people of piety, they are the beloved servants of Allah .جل جلاله
That is why these months are holy months. They are the months of more worship. All of them are months of worship. But in order for people to awaken, Allah ‘Azza wa Jalla gave certain seasons and days so that they benefit from them, so that they remember Allah ‘Azza wa Jalla, so that they get themselves together and so that more piety, fear of Allah جل جلاله and love of Allah جل جلاله enter their hearts during these holy months and other months.
May Allah جل جلاله give all of us Barakah. May we spend Ramadan with its Barakah. And there is Hajj ul-Akbar this year with the permission of Allah جل جلاله. Allah جل جلاله knows if there will or will not be permission to go. And whoever is meant to go will do so. Whoever is written to go will go. And whoever is not written, there will be an obstacle.
May Allah جل جلاله let those who haven’t done it to do it insha’Allah.
Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq. Al-Fatiha.
