favors. Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla distributed everything with computation. We have to appreciate it. Rebellion is not nice. It is not good. It has never been accepted. The first one who rebelled was shaytan. Don’t be like shaytan.
May Allah جل جلاله protect us.

GOOD TIDINGS TO THE PATIENT

04 February 2022/03 Rajab 1443
Fajr Prayer, Akbaba Dergah
As-Salāmu ‘Alaykum wa Raḥmatullāhi wa Barakātuh.
A‘ūdhu Billāhi Minash-shayṭāni r-rajīm. Bismillāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm.
Wa ṣ-Salātu wa s-Salāmu ‘alá Rasūlinā Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-Awwalīna wa l-Akhirīn. Madad yā RasūlAllāh, Madad yā Sādāti Aṣḥābi Rasūlillāh, Madad yā Mashāyikhinā, Dastūr Mawlana Shaykh Abdullāh al-Fā’iz ad-Dāghistāni, Shaykh Muḥammad Nāẓim al- Ḥaqqānī. Madad.
Ṭarīqatunā aṣ-Suḥbah wa l-Khayru fi l-Jam‘iyyah.

Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm:
(Qur’ān 02:155).
‘Wa lanabluwannakum bishay’in min al-Kḥawfi wa l-jū‘i wa naqṣin min al-amwāli wa l-anfusi wa l-thamarāti wa bashiri s-ṣābirīn.’
Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla says, “We will test you. There can be any kind of test; poverty, illness, death. Give good tidings to those who are patient”. Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla says, “ وَبَشِّرِ ٱلصَّـٰبِرِينَ ”, “Give good tidings to the patient.”
Few people show patience in this world. To be patient is a great virtue, to be patient with believing in Allah جل جلاله. And to those who don’t believe in Allah جل جلاله, Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla says, “Be patient or don’t be patient, there is no use for you”. Therefore, be from the patient ones. Some people become afflicted by the wisdom of Allah جل جلاله. When troubles fall on you, be patient. There are few people who are patient. You can rarely meet such people. Everyone is rebellious, not knowing what to do.
One of such patient people passed away last night. Allah جل جلاله will reward him for his patience insha’Allah. It is Shaykh Abdulsalam. Many people probably don’t know Shaykh Abdulsalam. He was in service of Grandshaykh Mawlana Shaykh Abdullah ad- Daghestani. He was in the household service nearly all the time. And he had served for around ten years. The house of Mawlana Shaykh Abdullah ad-Daghestani was upstairs before with the mosque downstairs. It is the same now. He would shout “Abdulsalam!” and he’d be right there. He would come running.
He had to go through a lot of tests. He went through a lot of suffering. All his life has passed in suffering and pain from illness, poverty and moving places. But he has never rebelled. He never replied or opposed people when they said something. And he had such a characteristic, whatever you say, it was ok for him. He never said “No”. It was always “Ok”. Wherever you pull him, he’d go there. And he was similar to Grandshaykh Mawlana Shaykh Abdullah al Faiz ad-Daghestani in appearance. We have known each other for more than fifty years. May Allah جل جلاله bless his soul. He is one of the Awliya, we testify that. He left this world by showing patience for his illness and pain until his last moments.
There are good tidings for him as Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla says وَبَشِّرِ ٱلصَّـٰبِرِينَ “Give good tidings to the patient.” He is from those people.
People of the present time rebel against tiny things and raise hell. That has no benefit. You suffer and it goes for nothing. At least, show patience for your sufferings. Allah جل جلاله will reward you. In Akhirah, people will say, “If only I had suffered more”. They will attain such rewards that in Akhirah they will wish they had suffered more. Therefore, sufferings and pain in this world are good for believers. They are not bad. May Allah جل جلاله help us. May we not go against Allah جل جلاله, against the things that Allah جل جلاله gives us. May Allah جل جلاله not give us something we cannot bear.
Our Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم says, “Don’t ask for patience, for it is difficult to be patient”. However, when we face something, we have to be patient. May Allah جل جلاله help us. May Allah جل جلاله not give us tests, may He جل جلاله give us kindness. May He جل جلاله not test us insha’Allah.
May Allah جل جلاله make paradise his abode. Insha’Allah we will meet pious people like him in paradise. May Allah جل جلاله increase their stations.
Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq. Al-Fatiha.

Good Tidings for the Strangers [06/02/2022]

“عند ذكر الصالحين تنزل الرحمة”, “When you mention the righteous ones, mercy descends.” It is either a Hadith, or a saying of our elders; Allah ﷻ knows. It is not good to say that it is a Hadith without knowing. The knowledge of Hadith is important.
Our Holy Prophet ﷺ says, “طُوبَى لِلْغُرَبَاء”, “Good tidings for the strangers.” How lucky the strangers and those don’t have anyone are, says our Holy Prophet ﷺ. They are the beloved servants of Allah ﷻ. They are patient in this world and are in gain in Akhirah. They didn’t care about Dunya at all. They are content with everything in this world. They are pleased with everything Allah ﷻ gives them so that Allah ﷻ is pleased with them.
We went to bury the late holy Shaykh Abdulsalam yesterday. He is buried in the cemetery on the other side of the world. There were not many people. Even not all of his relatives came. We buried him with a couple of brothers. But it was his disposition that Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla kept him on until he passed away from this world. It was like this in this world, and the hereafter will be completely the opposite. If only you saw the people who are greeting him there. Even in his Janazah prayer, there were thousands of invisible ones present there, Shukr to Allah ﷻ.
Therefore, he never objected asking why it had happened so. And we have submitted, as it was the will of Allah ﷻ. Besides, Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla created people from soil. Wherever his soil is, a person is buried there. Wherever it was taken from, he will certainly be buried there. You cannot say from where and to where. It happens not the way you want, but the way Allah ﷻ wants. The holy ones are happy with it.
One of his beautiful sayings... He was a stranger, never talking much. People used to ask him about matters. He’d say “I don’t know. The best thing is “I don’t know anything”.” Rather than making Fatwa and saying something which could be wrong, he preferred to say “I don’t know”. To say “I don’t know” is a great virtue. Not everyone can do so, because many people make Fatwas even though they don’t know at all. They give advice to people according to their own minds, of course. They make non-existing things existing, and non-permissible things permissible. Therefore, his beautiful saying should be a lesson for everyone. He used to say it in Arabic, “أحسن شي ما بعرف شي”, “The best thing is “I don’t know anything”.” It is a beautiful saying. A nice memory remains after him for people. May Allah ﷻ bless his soul. May his abode be in paradise.
He is one of the great Awliya. He wasn’t quite hidden, he was known. But by the wisdom of Allah ﷻ, he wasn’t given much in this world. He had lived in Jordan for a couple of years. May Allah ﷻ be pleased with him. He was favored there. But apparently, he was favored too much there that in order to complete his seclusion in this world, Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla let him come here, and he completed it here. So he passed away to Akhirah from here. May Allah ﷻ bless his soul. May his Maqam increase. May his Barakah be upon us. There is a wisdom in his burial here. He is buried near the new airport. There will be both Barakah and protection for that area insha’Allah. Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq. Al-Fatiha.”

HATE OPPRESSION AT LEAST WITH YOUR HEART

31 January 2022/28 Jumādā al-ʾĀkhir 1443
Fajr Prayer, Akbaba Dergah
As-Salāmu ‘Alaykum wa Raḥmatullāhi wa Barakātuh.
A‘ūdhu Billāhi Minash-shayṭāni r-rajīm. Bismillāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm.
Wa ṣ-Salātu wa s-Salāmu ‘alá Rasūlinā Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-Awwalīna wa l-Akhirīn. Madad yā RasūlAllāh, Madad yā Sādāti Aṣḥābi Rasūlillāh, Madad yā Mashāyikhinā, Dastūr Mawlana Shaykh Abdullāh al-Fā’iz ad-Dāghistāni, Shaykh Muḥammad Nāẓim al- Ḥaqqānī. Madad.
Ṭarīqatunā aṣ-Suḥbah wa l-Khayru fi l-Jam‘iyyah.

Our Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم says that when you see something inappropriate, something bad, change it with your hand if you have power to change it with hand. If not, tell people with your tongue not to do it. If you cannot do that too, don’t accept it in your heart, says our Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم. It is a known Hadith. People must have heard it a lot.
Now people sometimes have the power to change with their hand and tell with their tongue. However, as an even bigger Fitnah and an even bigger trouble occurs when they do so, they cannot do it. It is the same for individuals, for communities and the same for the governments.
We are living in such a time that if you want to do something and you can change it, bigger troubles come to you. Therefore, people keep silent. Silence is not the sign of the end of truth. Its judgment is in the presence of Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla. Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla doesn’t leave anything, He doesn’t forget anything. BismiLlahi r- Rahmani r-Rahim:
‘‘Faman Ya’mal Mithqāla Dharratin Khayrāan Yarah (7)
“ Wa Man Ya’mal Mithqāla Dharratin Sharrāan Yarah (8)”
‘’So whoever does an atom’s weight of good will see it (7)
And whoever does an atom’s weight of evil will see it (????.”
(Qur’ān 99:07-08).
If you do an atom’s weight of goodness, Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla sees it and will reward you for it. If you do an atom’s weight of evil, unless you repent, Allah جل جلاله sees it too and will give you a punishment for it.
Therefore, as no one can say or do anything, people go wilder and wilder. They think that they will profit from it. There will be no profit. This is the condition of the end of times. Everywhere there is oppression. Everywhere people’s rights are being taken away. They are banned from their lands and freedom. If a country does something to another country now, oppression will increase dramatically. Therefore, nothing is done. And they are thinking that no one can defeat them, that no one can come against them. But they will be brought to account. They will have their Day of Judgment. None of them will remain with the permission of Allah جل جلاله. Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla will send the Sahib, and everything will be brought to account here and hereafter with the permission of Allah جل جلاله
Therefore, people should be careful not to make oppression, and not to do badness. If people cannot say anything Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla won’t forget it. Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla will judge them. May Allah جل جلاله protect us from the evil of our egos. We don’t approve of evil and oppression. We can say it with our tongue and with our heart. It is not appropriate to say it with the tongue in some places. It can cause a bigger Fitnah. That is why wherever you see something inappropriate, wherever you see badness, hate it with your heart when you see it in front of you. Say that you don’t accept it. It is all over the places now. Wherever you come across it, at least attain this virtue.
May Allah جل جلاله protect us from such situations. And may He جل جلاله protect us from doing inappropriate things insha’Allah. May He جل جلاله keep us away from Haram.
Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq. Al-Fatiha.
Accepting the Truth Is Our Greatest Duty (03.02.2022)
An Ayati Karimah says that Allah ﷻ has appointed everyone somewhere and has shown them the way. Whoever is on the way of Allah ﷻ, the way of paradise will open for him. A person who says that this way is wrong, a person who says that the truth is falsehood, the way of hell opens for him. That way will be open, and the way of paradise will be closed. Therefore, it is a favor of Allah ﷻ. Muslims should know this favor as a mercy from Allah ﷻ to us. They should know what a great favor it is that Allah ﷻ has given it to Muslims, children and everyone.
Some people, not some but most people hardly ever walk on the way of truth. They obey their egos, they obey others. They deny the truth. When you deny the truth, the truth is not going to end because of your denial. It will not become wrong. The truth is the truth. What is wrong is to deny the truth. The sun will not disappear if you say that there is no sun. The sun exists, and the truth exists. We should believe in the truth. Allahﷻ is Al-Haqq, and the truth is the order of Allah ﷻ. The rest is falsehood which has no benefit. It is only loss to those who don’t accept the truth. To those who accept the truth, it is the greatest favor and the greatest benefit. A favor greater than money, wealth, eating, drinking, health, wellness and everything, is the truth, to accept the truth and to be on the way of truth. If all of the rest are under your control, if the whole world with its army, police, money, mountains and rocks belongs to you, as long as there is no [acceptance of] truth, there is no benefit, because they will not go with you when you pass away.
Those who don’t accept the truth burn themselves in order to save themselves while departing from this world. They say that they are over by becoming ash. Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla is Powerful over everything. He ﷻ let you be from nothing. And He ﷻ will create you again from your ash, and your account will be paid in hell. As you burnt yourself, you will burn forever in hell.
Therefore, to accept the truth is our greatest duty. It is the most useful thing for us, for all mankind. When people accept the truth, they are saved. If they don’t accept it, they will burn, in short. May Allah ﷻ protect us. For the honor of these beautiful months, may He ﷻ not separate us from the truth, because there is falsehood which appears like the truth. That is the people who get by as Muslims but mislead other Muslims. May Allah ﷻ protect us. Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq. Al-Fatiha.

RAJAB IS THE MONTH OF ALLAH

02 February 2022/01 Rajab 1443
Fajr Prayer, Akbaba Dergah
As-Salāmu ‘Alaykum wa Raḥmatullāhi wa Barakātuh.
A‘ūdhu Billāhi Minash-shayṭāni r-rajīm. Bismillāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm.
Wa ṣ-Salātu wa s-Salāmu ‘alá Rasūlinā Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-Awwalīna wa l-Akhirīn. Madad yā RasūlAllāh, Madad yā Sādāti Aṣḥābi Rasūlillāh, Madad yā Mashāyikhinā, Dastūr Mawlana Shaykh Abdullāh al-Fā’iz ad-Dāghistāni, Shaykh Muḥammad Nāẓim al- Ḥaqqānī. Madad.
Ṭarīqatunā aṣ-Suḥbah wa l-Khayru fi l-Jam‘iyyah.

BismiLlahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim. Our Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم says, it is his Dua,
اللهم بريك لنا في رجب و شعبان وبلغن رمضان
“O God, bless us in Rajab and Sha’ban and bring us to Ramadan.” We have entered these holy months. May Allah جل جلاله make them means for goodness. May we spend them in [doing] goodness and charity.
The month of Rajab is the month of Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla. He Himself knows what favors there are in it. Its knowledge is in His جل جلاله presence. Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla is generous. His جل جلاله generosity has no boundaries. Therefore, ask for these favors as much as you want. The wealth of Allah جل جلاله does not decrease, Hāshā (far from it). If Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla gives a favor, it cannot be questioned. Therefore, this month is a holy month, a beautiful month.
Tomorrow insha’Allah one of the two... All nights are blessed, but there are two nights among them which are very much blessed and great. The first one is tomorrow, on the night from Thursday to Friday. It is Laylat ul-Raghaib. Raghaib means to ask for all kinds of goodness, to demand. It is the night of beautiful demands. Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla says, “Make Dua so that I give you whatever you ask for”. Tomorrow night doesn’t change. It is on the first night that connects Thursday to Friday. It is among the few great holy nights of the year.
Another is the 27th night of Rajab, Laylat ul-‘Isra wa l-Miraj, the night when our Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم ascended to heavens and Tayy-i zamān and Tayy-il makan was done, folding of time and place. He was in the presence of Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla by His secrets – free of place, time and direction. He reached the highest levels that no mankind could ever reach. People of the present time say, “No, it was like this and like that”. And some crazy people who think that they are scholars say that it was a dream. Everyone has dreams; they have no importance. People with a mind won’t say this. Especially, if those who get by as scholars say so, they are not scholars. They are “علماء السوء”, Ulama’u su’ – bad scholars. They will be deprived from these virtues; they already are. And if they don’t repent, certainly, their end will be bad. They may depart this world without Iman, may Allah جل جلاله protect us.
For the honor of this holy month, may Allah جل جلاله give strength to our Iman. And may He جل جلاله send the leader to Islam insha’Allah. May we be protected insha’Allah, as we are in the Fitnah of the end of times. However, in order to be saved from it, Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla gave us these nights and days. In order not to disappear like oases in the middle of deserts and not drown like islands in the middle of seas, we have to show importance to them. We have to acknowledge this opportunity and beg Allah جل جلاله and make Dua.
May Allah جل جلاله not deprive us. May He جل جلاله not let us be from the deprived ones. May we not be cheated, because many Muslims are cheated. “This has no importance and no benefit”, they say, “It is not practiced in Mecca and Madinah which are the heart of Islam. Who are you to do it?” and cheat people depriving them.
May Allah جل جلاله not let us be from the deprived ones. May it be blessed to all insha’Allah. May the goodness of Rajab, Sha’ban, Ramadan, all these holy months be upon us insha’Allah.
Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq. Al-Fatiha.

The Greatest Jihad [30/01/2022]

“Allah ﷻ created the ego within us. The ego has many illnesses. You cannot claim to have got rid of them. No matter how much you say that you are done with your ego, you will become complacent again. It will come up with tricks that you don’t know of. Therefore, there should always be a struggle and a fight against the ego.

The ego has many tricks. People can overcome them with the permission of Allah ﷻ. But it is wrong to say that you overcame them and it’s over. There are constant requests. If you give it one thing, you have to give it another thing. And one by one, you will be defeated then. Therefore, great ‘Awliya and great people always fight against their egos.

The biggest example for this is when Sayyidina Ali was about to hit a Kafir, he spit on Sayyidina Ali’s face. Then, Sayyidina Ali didn’t hit him but pushed him back. The man in front of him got surprised by why he did so. Sayyidina Ali said, “I was going to kill you for Allah ﷻ. When you did this, my ego became angry. If I had killed you, I would’ve killed you for my ego. That’s why I didn’t kill you”. It is the biggest example. In the battlefield, great people never gave a chance for their egos not for a minute, not for a second.

It is a big example and a big lesson for all of us. We have to weigh everything. Of course, people eat and drink, and do everything that is Halal. Yet, we have to guard our egos. We shouldn’t spoil our egos. With the Dhikr of Allah ﷻ, by remembering Allah ﷻ every minute, the ego is defeated with the permission of Allah ﷻ.

But as we said, fighting against the ego, our Holy Prophet ﷺ called it Jihad ul-Akbar, The Greatest Jihad; it is more difficult than battles, wars and Jihad. It is more difficult than any enemy. People’s own egos are more difficult than everything.

Therefore, may Allah ﷻ help us, and may we always defeat our egos. Those who defeat their egos are great people. And those who are defeated by their egos cannot be great. Even if they own the whole world, it won’t bring any benefit. May Allah ﷻ protect us. May Allah ﷻhelp us. Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq. Al-Fatiha.”

The Three Holy Months of Worship (29.01.2022)

Shukr to Allah ﷻ, a beautiful season is coming. It is a spiritual season. It is not a usual worldly season but the season of Akhirah. The Three Holy Months begin next week. Their Thawab and virtues, and the holy nights in them are a great gift from Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla to our Ummati Muhammad ﷺ, a gift to the Ummah of our Holy Prophet ﷺ.

They are the months of worship. When people perform worship, they find peace, their light increases, and they are raised in the presence of Allah ﷻ. They become from the beloved servants of Allah ﷻ. Therefore, these Three Holy Months are important for Muslims. They are very important months and beautiful months.

The first one is Rajabu sh-Sharif. It is from the Hurum/sacred months when making war is forbidden. Unless others attacked and people defended themselves, there should be no war. There is permission to fight against those who attack you in order to defend yourself, but it is forbidden to declare a war during this month.

It is a great beauty, Shukr to Allah ﷻ. Worshipping during these months is more virtuous than in other months. There is more Thawab for all kinds of charity. When it is usually tenfold, here it is seventy fold or seven hundred fold, or even more in the presence of Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla. He ﷻ gives as much as He ﷻ wants. Therefore, we should know its value and use this chance.

There is fasting as well. Some holy men used to call it the fasting of the Three Holy Months. They used to start fasting from the beginning of Rajab until Eid. People do it now as well, Shukr to Allah ﷻ. Whoever doesn’t do it can fast at least for three days, or on Mondays and Thursdays. It is from the worship that people of Tariqah should certainly do during these months. It is a Nafilah/supererogatory worship, but it has great Thawab. Fasting is a precious worship.

Also, some people may have skipped fasting on purpose. It must have a manner; they have to fast to make it up. But before that, there is a sixty-day Kaffarah fasting. Kaffarah fasting is done once. Even if someone didn’t fast for twenty years, they didn’t fast Ramadan, they fast just once with the intention of sixty-day Kaffarah fasting.

Usually, people of old times used to fast during these Three Holy Months. But they have to start it not on the 1st of Rajab but one or two days before it. Some months are 29 days. We said it last year as well. Masha’Allah, some stupid people couldn’t calculate it and started on the 1st of Rajab. They said that they had fasted for 59 days. You must have calculated it beforehand. It is not valid. It doesn’t go to waste though. However, Kaffarah is important. It has to be sixty days. So you have to start one or two days before Rajab so that it completes sixty days before the fasting of Ramadan, because the fasting of Ramadan cannot be considered Kaffarah. It is a Fard fasting.

This applies to those who are born Muslim and fasted from time to time. There are families who have never fasted. They were not used to it since childhood. But afterwards Allah ﷻguided them and they started fasting. But they have to make Kaffarah for the missed fasting. After they do it, they can fast once or twice a month, on Mondays and Thursdays. Their missed days will be accepted then. Otherwise, Kaffarah is the worship that has to be performed before making up the missed fasting days.

For new Muslims, there is no obligation. They are as if newly born. Allah ﷻ has forgiven them for accepting Islam. There is no Kaffarah fasting for them. But if they break their fasting on purpose without being sick or without travelling, just like that in a good health af
