ter becoming Muslim, they have to make Kaffarah. No matter if there is one day or a hundred days, there is the sixty-day Kaffarah for them. May Allah ﷻ forgive us all. May we repent insha’Allah. May these holy months be good for us insha’Allah. Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq. Al-Fatiha.

Don’t Follow the System of Ignorance (28.01.2022)

Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm:
قُلْ أَفَغَيْرَ اللَّهِ تَأْمُرُونِّي أَعْبُدُ أَيُّهَا الْجَاهِلُونَ
(Qur’ān 39:64). ‘Qul ‘Afaghayra Allāhi Ta’murūnnī ‘A`budu ‘Ayyuhā l-Jāhilūn’, ‘Say, [O Muhammad, to the disbelievers], “Is it other than Allah that you order me to worship, O ignorant ones?”.’ It is Ayati Karimah, Sadaqa Llahu l-‘Azim. No one can be worshipped other than Allah ﷻ. This Ayati Karimah says, “You are ordering to worship someone other than Allah ﷻ, O ignorant ones!”

A person who worships someone other than Allah ﷻ is ignorant. They are ignorant ones, because the ignorant ones are the majority now. Ignorant people are always the majority in this world. Even if someone is educated, he is ignorant. Even if he is a professor, he is ignorant. Even if he is an instructor, he is ignorant. Whoever worships someone other than Allah ﷻ is ignorant. He is nothing else. Knowledge is to know Allah ﷻ. Whoever doesn’t know Allah ﷻ is ignorant. No matter how educated he is, no matter how many books he has read, [whether] hundreds or thousands, it has no benefit. No matter how many universities he has graduated from, he is ignorant in the same way.

Universities are opening now everywhere masha’Allah. This is in our countries. In order to spread ignorance, universities are opening. Universities are not for knowledge but for ignorance. Most of those who go to university, may Allah ﷻ protect us, lose their Iman if they had it. Those who pray five times a day quit praying eventually and follow the system of ignorance there.

People send [their children] for studying. They go to any lengths by selling their gardens, property and whatever they have so that their daughter or son becomes a scholar and a useful person. They don’t teach anything. They only consume their money and give a paper which says that you are a scholar, not an ignorant one. No, a complete ignorant! They don’t learn anything anyways. The only thing they learn is ignorance, lack of Adab/manners and harm. I am telling this openly.

We have fallen behind. Backward countries are doing this. The more universities are in these ignorant countries, the more ignorance there is. In Europe, we see them as advanced. In terms of Dunya, they are advanced. They don’t enroll someone who won’t study at university. And from those who will study, they ask for a fee. It’s not for free. “You are going to be jobless here. But you have to pay this money back while working”. Nothing is free. Our people acquire a system. But they neglect that system and make it worse. They turn useful people into useless ones. They turn them into harmful creatures.
Therefore, who doesn’t know Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla is ignorant. Universities don’t benefit from the majority. Since fifty years, our people have been trying to be accepted by Europe and Africa by claiming to have many diplomas. Don’t deal with this. Enroll those who will study. Many people are needed in other fields as well. Don’t drag them. Teach Adab/good manners and discipline to people. Schools used to teach Adab and discipline. Apart from knowledge, Adab and discipline are the most important. Not ignorant people but scholars will appear then. Useful people will appear.

May Allah ﷻ give mind and understanding to all of us, because we lack understanding. Backward countries waste people on worthless interests. They are harmed themselves afterwards too. May Allah ﷻ protect the Muslim youth from this foolishness. May Allah ﷻ help us insha’Allah and give us Iman. Iman is the most important thing. Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq. Al-Fatiha.

Souls on The Day of Qalu Bala (25.01.2022)

Our Holy Prophet ﷺ says:
الأَرْوَاحُ جُنُودٌ مُجَنَّدَةٌ فَمَا تَعَارَفَ مِنْهَا ائْتَلَفَ وَمَا تَنَاكَرَ مِنْهَا اخْتَلَفَ
“The souls are troops collected together and those who had a mutual familiarity amongst themselves in the store of prenatal existence would have affinity amongst them, (in this world also) and those who opposed one of them, would be at variance with one another.”
When souls were created on the Day of Qalu Bala - قَاْلُوا بَلَى , just as people are familiar with each other now, they met each other back then. Similarly, some of them loved each other then, and some didn’t like each other, our Holy Prophet ﷺ says.

What happened then? Those who loved each other back then, love each other when they come to this world and meet one another. And those who didn’t like each other, don’t like each other in this world as well. On the day of Qalu Bala, when souls were created, our bodies had not been created yet. And when they were created and came to this world, Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla gave the souls to those bodies. The souls didn’t change.
A soul is the secret that only Allah ﷻ knows. No one knows it. But those who loved each other before, love each other in the same way when the souls enter their bodies. And those who didn’t like each other, hate one another in the same way; they don’t conform and they dislike each other.
Some people get surprised why they don’t like someone. It’s because it is something pertaining to the Day of Qalu Bala. Therefore, to love someone has been written since that time in the destinies of people with the secret of Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla. Some of this secret is revealed when we come to this world. And it is revealed even more in Akhirah. No one can not only comprehend, but even come near the power and greatness of Allah ﷻ.
Therefore, it is the same in this world. However, you should love for the sake of Allah ﷻ and hate for the sake of Allah - “الْحُبُّ فِي اللَّهِ وَالْبُغْضُ فِي اللَّهِ”, “Al-hubbu fi Llah wa l-bughdu fi Llah.” [Hadith]. If you love those beloved by Allah ﷻ, how lucky you are that Allah ﷻ has put you around those beautiful people. When Allah ﷻ lets you love good people, it is a great favor. And not to love bad people is not in our hands. It is something given by Allah ﷻ.
Therefore, during life in this world, people should pay attention to loving good ones so that they are among good ones, among beautiful ones. We don’t have to love bad ones, oppressors, polytheists and those who don’t know Allah ﷻ. We don’t love them. We love those who love Allah ﷻ, the Prophet ﷺ, Awliya, Sahabah and Ahlu l-Bayt. It is a great favor too. We don’t love those who don’t love them. We don’t have to love them. As we said, it is in our souls. You cannot force it. You cannot win anyone’s heart in this world, not by force or money, not by beating or loving, not by torturing. It is the grant and love of Allah ﷻ. It is a favor given by Allah ﷻ insha’Allah.
Our Tariqa is the Tariqa of love. All Tariqas are like this, but the Naqshbandi Tariqa is on their top. It loves beautiful people and it doesn’t love oppressors and those who make judgments as they like. May Allah ﷻ let us be with good ones and make our hearts always love good people insha’Allah. Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq. Al-Fatiha.

Snow Is Barakah (24.01.2022)

Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm:
Sadaqa Llahu l-‘Azim (Qur’ān 56:68-69).
‘Afara’aytumu Al-Mā’a Al-Ladhī Tashrabūn ﴾68﴿‘A’antum ‘Anzaltumūhu Mina Al-Muzni ‘Am Naĥnu Al-Munzilūn ﴾69﴿’, ‘And have you seen the water that you drink? ﴾68﴿ Is it you who brought it down from the clouds, or is it We who bring it down? ﴾69﴿.’

Rain and snow are given to us as presents by the power of Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla. They are a great favour.
Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla says, “Is it you or We who bring down the water you drink from the clouds?” Certainly, it is Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla, “بَلَى أَنْتَ يَاْ رَبَّ الْعَاْلَمِين”, “Bala Anta Ya Rabb al-‘Alameen”. You are powerful over everything and provide our Rizq. You circulate water like great seas above us and give to whomever You want, and You don’t give to whomever You don’t want.

In the end of times, there is torment and there are beautiful favours. In a minute, you might sink in seas of flood; people will perish and be gone. And some people will be given favours. Insha’Allah this time… Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla hadn’t given such a favour since a couple of years. Since the last two years, the whole world has been suffering from this illness. This year there is snow, Shukr to Allah ﷻ.

Snow is Barakah. Our Holy Prophet ﷺ says that an angel descends with every snowflake. It is the same with rain. When Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla sends favours, while circulating like seas above us, they don’t fall all at once but come down with angels one by one. Every raindrop brings an angel, and then he goes back. But with snow, it is not like this. Every angel comes down as Barakah and stays on earth. Therefore, snow is Barakah and a big favour.

There is a wisdom of Allah ﷻ in everything. For two years, it hadn’t snowed properly anywhere. And that was the sign of this disaster. Insha’Allah from now on, may Allah ﷻremove this disaster from believers. May there be guidance for people.
There is beauty in everything. But sometimes it seems like a difficulty. It is not difficult. There is a wisdom of Allah ﷻ in snow. Of course, in some countries, there is nothing to burn, to heat. Nevertheless, there will be Barakah there as well insha’Allah. There will be a beautiful manifestation for them.
Insha’Allah may we appreciate this favour and make Shukr to Allah ﷻ. People should make Shukr. They shouldn’t look at snow as a trouble. It is a big favour insha’Allah.
If you make Shukr to Allah ﷻ, you will see its benefit. If you don’t, then whoever doesn’t make Shukr for a favour, he will be deprived of it. At least, he will be deprived of its benefit. Its benefit and Barakah are for the ones who make Shukr insha’Allah. It is Barakah insha’Allah. It will be strength to Islam. And may it bring strength to our Iman, because these angels serve us and ask Allah ﷻ for forgiveness on behalf of those who make Shukr. They ask Allah ﷻ for goodness for them. Angels serve those who believe. Those who don’t believe will be deprived of it.
The door is open. Whoever wants can take from it. Whoever doesn’t want, there is no forcing.
If you don’t want a favour, as Mawlana Shaykh Nazim RA said, it is like a Cypriot chasing – it means go and do whatever you want. Shukr to Allah ﷻ. May it bring Barakah to all of us, and to all the Islamic world. May it be blessed and good insha’Allah.
Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq. Al-Fatiha.

Muslims Must Not Oppress (23.01.2022)

Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm:
الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَلَمْ يَلْبِسُوا إِيمانَهُمْ بِظُلْمٍ أُولئِكَ لَهُمُ الْأَمْنُ وَهُمْ مُهْتَدُونَ
(Qur’ān 06:82). ‘Al-Ladhīna ‘Āmanū Wa Lam Yalbisū ‘Īmānahum Bizulmin ‘Ūlā’ika Lahumu Al-‘Amnu Wa Hum Muhtadūn, ‘They who believe and do not mix their belief with injustice - those will have security, and they are [rightly] guided.’ The beloved people of Allah ﷻ are those who believe and don’t oppress anyone, says Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla. They have reached guidance. They are the beloved people of Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla. Who is better: these ones or those who rebel against Allah ﷻ? Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla says these ones. Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla says, “These are My beloved servants”.
People don’t understand this. They don’t think of it. There are many people who think they are clever. They are full of themselves and don’t accept the rights and words of others. However, eventually, Allah ﷻ will save His ﷻ beloved ones. He will help them. And their ends will be good both here and hereafter. The rest will be ashamed in this world and even more ashamed in Akhirah.
Therefore, be together with Allah ﷻ. Do not oppress anyone. It is not from the glory of Muslims. To be a Muslim means safety and providing peace. Those who oppress people are not Muslims but Kafirs. They oppress everyone because they don’t fear Allah ﷻ. When people don’t fear Allah ﷻ, they do all kinds of evil. People are the wildest things in this world. There are so many wild animals like snakes and scorpions. They can never be as wild as humans. They attack as much as they can eat. And they don’t go after others in order to oppress and take away their property. They don’t have such a thing.
Therefore, without Islam, people are the wildest things created here. Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla tamed them with Islam. Islam spread justice all over the world. They learnt and gained everything from Islam, and then they say that they are civilized. They didn’t accept the good things and the things they need. All sciences came out of the Qur’an. They learnt them from Islamic scholars. But they picked up what they wanted. And they didn’t take the things that teach goodness. They picked up the things that are normal and that are used in daily life. And they live with it by calling it civilization. They are going on with their badness, may Allah ﷻprotect us.
As we said, Muslims must not oppress anyone because oppression will certainly return to people. No matter how much an oppressor claims that he is strong and this and that, certainly, Allah ﷻ will question him. May Allah ﷻ protect us. May we not oppress anyone insha’Allah. Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq. Al-Fatiha.

Don’t Approach Dirtiness (22.01.2022)

Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm:
وَلَا تَقْرَبُوا الْفَوَاحِشَ
(Qur’ān 06:151). ‘Wa Lā Taqrabū Al-Fawāhisha’, ‘And do not approach shameful deeds.’ Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla says, “Do not approach dirty things”. He is warning in such way that not only not to do or use dirty things, don’t even come close to them.
“الْخَبَائِثَ” means dirty and filthy. What is it? First of all, it is alcohol and pork. Excrements are alike. How can people eat excrements? They cannot. So don’t come close to them. There is also gambling. These are all in the same category. Don’t approach them. If you approach them, you cannot quit them. They are all worse than each other. When a person tries one of them, he cannot quit it.
Smoking is among them too. Smoking starts with curiosity. They look while with friends and see smoke coming out when taken in a mouth. Allah ﷻ protects some people; they hate its smell and don’t smoke. But some people, whatever the wisdom is, even though it is dirty and has a stinking odor, they cannot get rid of it. Therefore, out of mercy to you, Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla says not to approach it. He doesn’t say, “Don’t use it”, He says, “Don’t come close to it”. If you come close, you will use it and become addicted to it. You won’t be able to quit it.
It is the same with gambling. “We just observe it and gamble from time to time”. Don’t even come close to it! It has no benefit to you. It brings nothing but loss. You make your clean money dirty; it becomes filthy. You are not winning anyway. Even if you win something, it won’t have any benefit or Barakah. It is nothing but harm. It is a poison to you. No one has benefitted from using the Haram gambling money. Gambling is not Barakah, it is something that takes away Barakah. It ruins households and breaks families apart. May Allah ﷻ protect us. Therefore, never resort to things like gambling.
If we mention cigarettes, it makes people totally addicted. May Allah ﷻ save them. Many people want to quit, but cannot help it. It is made of the excrements of shaytan. Therefore, it makes the whole world its captive and people can’t get rid of it. Its biggest feature is that people cannot get rid of it easily. But some people quit with the permission of Allah ﷻ.
In order to remember what kind of dirt it is, think about taking a sandwich and a drink or tea to a lavatory. Does anyone do so? But they smoke freely while in there. It is because it is of the same kind with what people do in a lavatory. As what they smoke is the same with what they do in the lavatory, in a toilet, they smoke it off. It is the proof, by the wisdom of Allah ﷻ, that it is dirt. In order for people to see, they only smoke in toilets. Even alcohol, no one drinks alcohol in the toilet. But they do smoke. It is a big lesson for those who want to quit. Insha’Allah they will remember it so that every time they want to smoke, they ask themselves, “What am I doing? I am smoking this dirt. I am smoking this poison. It is dirty. It is poisonous and filthy. It pollutes the air and affects people. It makes me stink and damages my health. It also disturbs people around me”.
May Allah ﷻ save people. Therefore, avoid it from the beginning. Children shouldn’t say, “I want to try it” because even adults cannot quit it when they want to. Those who want to start shouldn’t look at it as an object and the way to act cool. They shouldn’t take it in their mouths. They should stay away from it. May Allah ﷻ protect us and may Allah ﷻ help those who smoke. May they quit it as soon as possible insha’Allah. Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq. Al-Fatiha.

Iman Is Saved Only with Tariqa (20.01.2022)

Shukr to Allah ﷻ, we returned comfortably after the visit to Mawlana Shaykh Nazim. His spiritual power reaches everywhere in the world. To make Ziyarah, to go to his feet more often is to experience more respect and love. Just like Allah ﷻ invited our Holy Prophet ﷺ to Ka’bah and to Jerusalem, visiting the holy ones wherever they are is the same. It comes from them. It is nothing apart from that. As their way is the same, to make Ziyarah to them brings Barakah and goodness with the permission of Allah ﷻ. They won’t send [people] back empty-handed. They will send [them] loading with spiritual gifts, Shukr to Allah ﷻ.
Some mindless people say that ‘Awliya, let alone ‘Awliya, they say that even our Holy Prophet ﷺ was just an ordinary man like us and say not to make Shirk. Our Holy Prophet ﷺ brought this religion to us. Our Holy Prophet ﷺ is the one who taught us the religion. The Sahabah and Khalifahs followed his way. And then ‘Alims, ‘Awliya and Mu’mins are following that way. They didn’t go out of his way. Whatever was done during his time, Shukr to Allah ﷻ, nowadays people of Tariqa and Ahlu l-Sunnah wa l-Jama’ah completely follow everything he taught. Those who went out of it don’t accept it. They don’t accept anything. They want to control the religion as they like. They are people who rely on hearsay evidence and don’t accept any proof. Therefore, they are poor people who have no luck.
Those who are on this way are very few among millions and billions of people. Those who are on the good way are chosen ones. Certainly, there are millions of those who are Ahlu l-Sunnah wa l-Jama’ah. But the others are minority. They are making noise and confusing people and leading them astray, thus depriving them from Barakah and Thawab. Thawab is this way, the way of our Holy Prophet ﷺ, the way of Sahabah, the way of Ahlu l-Bayt. There is no doubt in them. Whoever is doubtful has weak Iman.
Shukr to Allah ﷻ, Iman increases by being with the pious ones. It increases by remembering them and remembering our Holy Prophet ﷺ. “Islam is simply to say: “I am Muslim”.”, says Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla, “Don’t say you became Mu’min”. To be Muslim is the weakest level. When you say, “La ilaha illaLlah Muhammadun r-RasuluLlah salla Llahu aa’layhi wa sallam”, you are Muslim. There is no objection to it. But you are not Mu’min yet.
Iman is very much different. It is much more beautiful. Iman is the highest level of Islam. Therefore, shaytan doesn’t like it, and his helpers don’t like it. They always attack people to weaken their Iman. They want to weaken their religion and to make them lose it and lose the way. May Allah ﷻ protect us.
Iman is important. “Don’t say Iman is so important”, some people used to say so, we heard it a lot; “Tariqa is not necessary. It’s time to save our Iman now”. You can save your Iman only with Tariqa. Tariqa is the main way shown by our Holy Prophet ﷺ. May Allah ﷻ give strength to our Iman. May Allah ﷻ protect us from human shaytans. And may Allah ﷻ protect us from the Waswasa of shaytan. Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq. Al-Fatiha.

First Thing Is to Love and Not Forget (17.01.2022)

Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm:
رِجَالٌ لَّا تُلْهِيهِمْ تِجَارَةٌ وَلَا بَيْعٌ عَن ذِكْرِ اللَّهِ وَإِقَامِ الصَّلَاةِ
(Qur’ān 24:37). ‘Rijālun lā tulhīhim tijāratun wa-lā bayʿun ʿan dhikri llāhi wa-iqāmi ṣ-ṣalāt’, ‘Men whom neither trade nor sale diverts them from the Remembrance of Allah (with heart and tongue), nor from performing prayer.’ There are such people that no trade of this world, nothing at all can distract them from the Dhikr of Allāh ﷻ, from the love of Allāh ﷻ. When people make trade, certainly, while thinking about how to make it and what to do, most people forget. Neither Dhikr, nor praying crosses their minds. It slips off their minds. What they remember is their business and their status in this world.
Most of the people are like this. But few people are the beloved people of Allāh ﷻ. They don't care about these matters, the matters of Dunyā. They say that even if the world collapses, they won't care about it. Why? Because this world will come to an end one day. It is important for them to remember Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla who is Al-Baqi, The Everlasting One. Their goal is to lie down and to get up with Him ﷻ, to be with Him ﷻ in every moment. This is their earning.
People are running after Dunyā. While chasing Dunyā, if they at least remember Allāh ﷻ, it will be beneficial. But people of the present time don't remember at all. Let alone remembering, they don't even believe. May Allāh ﷻ protect us. Their fault is for them. Our matter is to be with Allāh ﷻ. Trading, Dunyā, shopping and money, don't put them in the first place. Don't put them in your heart. Put Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla in your heart.
Allāh ﷻ loves such people. People like this are loved by Him ﷻ. Do you love someone who doesn't remember you? You don't. Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla is the one who gives us everything we have, who gives us favours. We should remember Him ﷻ. Other things should not prevent you from worshipping and obeying Him ﷻ. Be with Allāh ﷻ inshā’Allāh. Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq. Al-Fatiha.

A Responsibility to Serve (16.01.2022)

Our Holy Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam says,
كُلُّكُمْ رَاعٍ، وَكُلُّكُمْ مَسْؤولٌ عَنْ رَعِيَّتِهِ
“Kullukum rā‘in, wa kullukum mas’ūlun ‘an ra‘īyatihi”, “All of you are shepherds and each of you is responsible for his flock.” All of you are responsible for those who follow you. The responsibility for them is on your shoulders. At home, the man is in charge; he is responsible. A mayor is responsible for his city. Responsibility is not an easy thing. The responsibility for a home is for a family of four or five people; its responsibility can be carried. People help and put effort in it; it is fine. However, people who ask for a big responsibility should understand its heaviness and what they are asking for. It is not an easy thing.
Why are we saying this now? There’s a small place where we are here in Cyprus, [where] there will be elections now. People from every corner want to participate in these elections and take on responsibility. They have to go to a parliament, become a member and then serve this country. They shouldn't go to a parliament for honor and reputation. If you take on responsibility, you will be questioned for it. There is nothing like “I persuaded people and joined the parliament now.”
Many people don't realize what kind of spiritual responsibility they take. They should realize it
