SAYYIDINA ‘IBRAHIM AND THE FIRE WORSHIPPER

As-Salāmu ‘Alaykum wa Raḥmatullāhi wa Barakātuh.
A‘ūdhu Billāhi Minash-shayṭāni r-rajīm. Bismillāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm.
Wa ṣ-Salātu wa s-Salāmu ‘alá Rasūlinā Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-Awwalīna wa l-Akhirīn. Madad yā RasūlAllāh, Madad yā Sādāti Aṣḥābi Rasūlillāh, Madad yā Mashāyikhinā, Dastūr Mawlana Sheikh Abdullāh al-Fā’iz ad-Dāghistāni, Sheikh Muḥammad Nāẓim al-Ḥaqqānī. Madad.
Ṭarīqatunā aṣ-Suḥbah wa l-Khayru fi l-Jam‘iyyah.
[..] destroying the people of Lut. For the angels, he brought them food to eat. But the angels don’t eat. When they didn’t eat, he was not happy and a little bit afraid.
So he [Sayyidina ‘Ibrahim ‘alayhi s-salam] was very generous. He was looking for somebody to bring to eat with him. When having dinner, he liked to have guests to eat with him. That day, he couldn’t find anybody. Nobody came. He went out and found one man. He brought him saying, “Come, come. I want a guest to eat with me.” When he came inside - he didn’t look like a Muslim - he asked him, “Are you Muslim?” He said, “No.” He asked him, “What are you?” He said, “I am fire worshipper.” He told him, “Be a Muslim and I’ll have you as a guest here.” He said, “No. I don’t want to be Muslim.” He answered, “So I will not let you be here.” And he sent him away.
After that, Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla sent him Jibra’il ‘alayhi s-salam. He said, “Why did you do this? Why didn’t you give food to this man?” He said, “He does not believe in Allah جل جلاله . He is Kafir. I asked him to be a servant for Allah .جل جلاله , but he said ‘No. I am a servant for fire only’”. Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla sent with Jibril, telling him, “This man is maybe 80 or 90 years old, or more. All these years, I know he’s not worshipping Me and I give him his provision. I feed him and I give him everything. Only for once, you didn’t do this. Quickly run after him and bring him to eat.” ‘Ibrahim ‘alayhi s-salam ran and found him in the end. He told him, “Come to eat.” He said, “Why did you fire me and throw me out? And why are you now coming asking me to come with you?” He said, “I was angry with you because you don’t believe in God. And God, Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla said that He جل جلاله fed you for 90 years and you didn’t worship Him جل جلاله. Just once I didn’t feed you, He جل جلاله got angry with me and told me to bring you again.” When he heard this he said, “You are right. I must be in your religion, to be Muslim.” And he became Muslim.

Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla doesn’t differentiate between His جل جلاله servants . He جل جلاله  gives everybody provision, but what’s important is to be thankful to Him جل جلاله, to give good things to people. This is the teaching of Allah جل جلاله and Prophets.

[..] تدمير قوم لوط. بالنسبة للملائكة، أحضر لهم طعامًا ليأكلوا. لكن الملائكة لا تأكل. عندما لم يأكلوا، لم يكن سعيدًا وخائفًا بعض الشيء.
.
لذلك كان [سيدنا إبراهيم عليه السلام] كريمًا جدًا. كان يبحث عن شخص يحضره ليأكل معه. عند تناول العشاء، كان يُحب أن يأكل الضيوف معه. في ذلك اليوم، لم يستطع إيجاد أحد. لم يأت أحد. خرج ووجد رجلا. أحضره قائلا "تعال، تعال. أريد ضيفًا يأكل معي". عندما دخل - لم يكن يبدو كمسلم - سأله "هل أنت مسلم؟" قال "لا." سأله "ماذا تعبد؟" قال "أنا أعبد النار". قال له "كن مسلما وسأستضيفك هنا". قال "لا. لا أريد أن أكون مسلما". أجاب "لذلك لن أسمح لك بأن تكون هنا". وطرده.

بعد ذلك، أرسل له الله عز وجل جبريل عليه السلام. قال "لماذا فعلت هذا؟ لماذا لم تعطِ هذا الرجل طعامًا"؟ قال "لا يؤمن بالله ﷻ. إنه كافر. طلبت منه أن يكون عبدًا لله ﷻ، لكنه رفض. أنا عبداً للنار فقط". أرسل الله عز وجل مع جبريل يقول له "هذا الرجل يبلغ من العمر ثمانين أو تسعين سنة أو أكثر. كل هذه السنوات، أعلم أنه لا يعبدني وأرزقه. أطعمه وأعطيه كل شيء. لمرة واحدة فقط، لم تفعل هذا. ركض خلفه بسرعة وجلبه ليأكل". ركض إبراهيم عليه السلام ووجده في النهاية. قال له "تعال لتأكل". قال "لماذا طردتني؟ ولماذا تأتي الآن وتطلب مني أن آتي معك"؟ قال "غضبت منك لأنك لا تؤمن بالله. والله، الله عز وجل قال أنه أطعمك تسعين سنة ولم تعبده ﷻ. مرة واحدة فقط لم أطعمك، لقد غضب ﷻ مني وأخبرني أن أحضرك مرة أخرى". لما سمع هذا قال "أنت على حق. يجب أن أكون في دينك، أكون مسلما". وأسلم.
.
لا يُفرّق الله عز وجل بين عباده. يرزق ﷻ الجميع، ولكن المهم أن تكون شاكراً له ﷻ، تُقدّم الخير للناس. هذه هي تعاليم الله ﷻ والأنبياء. ومن الله التوفيق . الفاتحة .
