AL-HAQQANI IS OUR LIGHT

As-Salāmu ‘Alaykum wa Raḥmatullāhi wa Barakātuh.
A‘ūdhu Billāhi Minash-shayṭāni r-rajīm. Bismillāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm.
Wa ṣ-Salātu wa s-Salāmu ‘alá Rasūlinā Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-Awwalīna wa l-Akhirīn. Madad yā RasūlAllāh, Madad yā Sādāti Aṣḥābi Rasūlillāh, Madad yā Mashāyikhinā, Dastūr Mawlana Sheikh Abdullāh al-Fā’iz ad-Dāghistāni, Sheikh Muḥammad Nāẓim al-Ḥaqqānī. Madad.
Ṭarīqatunā aṣ-Suḥbah wa l-Khayru fi l-Jam‘iyyah.
May Allah جل جلاله make our Majlis Barakah and Khayr (goodness) for all of who are here and for all of who are watching this gathering. Our Tariqah, the Naqshbandi Tariqah has two pillars: one is Sohbah, and one is Khatm ul- Khwajagan. This is our way, way of the Golden Chain: from Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam until Mawlana Sheikh Nazim insha’Allah.
AlhamduliLlah we have been with Mawlana Sheikh AbduLlah. But of course, in the childhood or as teenagers, we were not understanding too much about many of the things he was saying. Many of them, we didn’t understand. One of these is he said: “I am illiterate. I am not preparing for the Sohabh. I’m just here like” – at that time there was no internet, no anything – he said, “I am like a radio. They are sending from there and I am speaking.” This is what he was saying, and I was wondering about that. According to a child’s thinking, and that time there wasn’t like this: too much electronics or machines. We didn’t even have – Mawlana Sheikh didn’t have a radio in his house. So I was wondering: how was this coming? Them giving him and he speaking from what he hears? I didn’t know. After that, we AlhamduliLlah it came. When he asks Madad, they are giving what people are in need of. They are giving him what the gathering needs. They send him and he advises everybody.
Whether understanding or not understanding, with his Barakah the whole gathering takes benefit. Masha’Allah he was making Sohbah every day after Dhuhr for nearly more than 2 hours. And how many people would you think were listening to this Sohbah? Maybe the most crowd were ten or twelve people. On the Day of Jum’ah, when there was Khatm and Sohbah, maybe seventy or sixty people only. And he was speaking deep [Sohbah], but when the people were hearing, they were not understanding how deep it is. They were just listening and understanding what the common people understand; not understanding the meaning. All of them were just sitting for Barakah. And of course with the blessings coming on this gathering, they were very happy. They were like the drunk from this, [which was coming] like a heavy shower of blessings and Barakah upon them.
Many of them don’t know anything. They came like this and went after that without – only with the Barakah of Mawlana. But who only understood was Mawlana Sheikh Nazim. He was taking all his knowledge from his Sheikh, Sheikh AbduLlah ad-Daghestani, and he distributed it to the whole world. He was only for the sake of Allah جل جلاله following his Sheikh. He left everything behind him, not looking after Dunya, not looking after anything. He left everything and came to his Sheikh with his intention. And Allah جل جلاله, for his intention, made him to understand.
Good intention – Allah جل جلاله helps who has a good intention. Because Mawlana Sheikh Nazim from the beginning, from nothing, and Allah جل جلاله gave him everything. Before he got married and until he got married, he was intending to not put any money in his pocket. Seven years, he didn’t put [money in his pocket]. After that, Mawlana Sheikh AbduLlah said, “You must take this.” He wasn’t asking from anybody, “Give me. Help me.” Never. In these seven years, he was traveling. At that time, he was traveling in Syria because in many places they wanted to know about Tariqah. He was going to Syria and Lebanon. And he was even traveling to Cyprus. To go to Cyprus, it was by ship or by plane. Also without anything, Allah جل جلاله helped him and he was going and coming. He was doing everything. He is, Masha’Allah, our light. You are lucky you – he finds you, not you find him. He finds you. Until now, as I’m saying every time, he is still acting more than before. Many people are coming for Shahadah and for Tariqah through his order in dreams. He is coming to people, “Go take Shahadah. Go be in Tariqah.”
His title is Haqqani. He got it in 1979 I think, or 1978. I had a shop so my partner, our Murid, came and said, “Today Mawlana was saying in Sohbah, ‘Today I got this title: Haqqani’.” The Haqqani title. Which means to give everybody his right. Haqqani means who gives rights. Who is extremely on the [way of] truth. There are many examples but we give a small example about Mawlana. When he wants to buy something, Mawlana was bargaining, “How much is this?” He said, “This is ten pounds.” He was bargaining. He said, “No, I will give you twelve.” [Mawlana laughs] This is his attribute. He never [rejects] people who ask. He wants to give more not less. He says, “They are poor people. They must get more. We will not be rich if we bargain and make it a little bit less.” But when you see this, from his happiness he makes Dua. And this Dua is more expensive (valuable) from what we will get from bargaining.
AlhamduliLlah, until his last days, he never [kept money], just as Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam. When some money comes as Hadiyyah (gift) for him, he was quickly sending his servant to distribute all this money. Until Fajr, not any money is left. All Ahlu l-Bayt and Sahabah, many of them have this attribute. Especially Sayyidatina Nafisa at-Tahira, she is the grand daughter of Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam. She also was like this. Of course in his last days, he wasn’t even touching them. “Whatever it is, give everything. Send to this, to that, to that, to this.” Until the morning, everything would be clean; nothing left.
So AlhamduliLlah, as we were saying from the beginning of this Sohbah, Mawlana Sheikh kept Mawlana Sheikh AbduLlah’s inheritance of Sohbah, of the understanding of Sohbah. And he made all these people: from east to west, from the (most) poorest until the Sultan, until the President, until the Prime Minister, to be a Murid for him and to love him. When they are hearing about him, they are praising him. This is all the Barakah of his good understanding and good teaching of his Sheikh, Sheikh AbduLlah ad-Daghestani, our Grand Sheikh. Bismi Llāhi r- Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm:
لَّقَدْ كَانَ لَكُمْ فِى رَسُولِ ٱللَّهِ أُسْوَةٌ حَسَنَةٌ
‘‘Laqad Kāna Lakum Fī Rasūli Llāhi ‘Uswatun Hasana’’
‘’There has certainly been for you in the Messenger of Allah an excellent example.’ (Qur’ān 33:21). Ṣadaqa Llāhu l-‘aẓīm.
Allah ‘Azza wa- Jalla is saying in the Qur’an that we have a good example from Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam. You must follow him. He was following Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam exactly. And he is for us also a good example. We must follow him; not going out of his way.
As we said, his Murids are from the poorest one to the richest one. Every one, Sheikh Bahauddin says every time, is very precious. All of you are very precious for him. He doesn’t want anybody to disturb you or do what Mawlana was not happy with for you. If you want to ask something, ask from Allah جل جلاله don’t ask from poor people. His جل جلاله treasures are endless. He جل جلاله is not afraid for them to finish. Here [Dunya], the (most) richest one: as much as they become rich, they become stingy. They are afraid to give. So ask from Whose treasures are endless and don’t finish. Ask from Him جل جلاله. You must believe in this. Many people say, “O I depended on Allah جل جلاله and nothing happened. I am still poor. I still have no money.” These people are testing Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla. From the beginning, they are losers. With not even one step, they are finished. Who has belief, even if he dies from hunger, he must believe Allah جل جلاله is Razzaq. If he has something from provision for him, it will come. If not, nothing will come to him. Shaqīq al-Balkhī says that he was trading. He was going to trade in his youth in Central Asia, maybe in Turkistan. Some non-believer saw him, “What are you doing?” “I am trading.” He said, “If you are a believer, you must believe that anywhere [you are] Allah جل جلاله sends you your provision. If you are not a believer, you don’t say, ‘I am this, I am that’.”
Insha’Allah to make Mawlana Sheikh Nazim, Mawlana Sheikh AbduLlah al-Faiz ad-Daghestani, our Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم and Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla happy, you must try to follow your Sheikh insha’Allah. Because people are not understanding: with miracle wisdom, all the Sohbahs of Grand Sheikh disappeared. Nothing was left, only what Mawlana Sheikh Nazim has. Of course, he wrote many Sohbahs: 7,000 Sohbah. But what’s most important is what’s in his heart, what they have given him. AlhamduliLlah he was Khalifah for 41 years, after Mawlana Sheikh AbduLlah. Many books, many CDs, videos and audios – there are thousands and thousands – each one has endless wisdom. People are still happy from east to west from these which they hear.
May Allah جل جلاله make us be strongly on this way. AlhamduliLlah I see here many people have their children, their sons, their daughters; they are in this way. This is important also. To be all together. The utmost happiness for man or woman is to be with their family in the right way. We are, insha’Allah may Allah جل جلاله keep them safe, because we are waiting for what Mawlana Sheikh Nazim was saying about the end of times. It is a very difficult time for believers to say the truth. We cannot say everything because this Fitnah is coming more and more. Insha’Allah if all together, it will be easy; nothing happens insha’Allah to you.
Mawlana Sheikh was his whole life waiting for Mahdi alayhi s-salam. He said, “I waited in the evening, if not then in the morning. I waited 60 years for Mahdi alayhi s-salam.” And we are on his way. We are waiting for Mahdi alayhi s- salam. This time is getting really – everything of what Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam is saying and what Mawlana Sheikh is saying has reached the peak. Every bad thing, every bad action has reached its peak in the world; everywhere, not here only, everywhere.
When Mawlana Sheikh was speaking about Mahdi alayhi s-salam, many people were not accepting or had some doubt about Mahdi alayhi s-salam. And I was wondering when these people were not happy with what Mawlana Sheikh is saying about Mahdi, “Why is he speaking about Mahdi? If he speaks about another thing, more people will be following Mawlana.” After that, AlhamduliLlah an inspiration came from Mawlana: he is in the Maqam of Sayyidina Nuh ‘alayhi s-salam. Because Sayyidina Nuh ‘alayhi s-salam was far away from the seaside maybe a thousand miles or a thousand kilometers; no sea, nothing. And he was trying, building this ark ship. People were coming to him asking him, “What are you doing?” He said, “I am building a ship.” They said, “This man is crazy.” They were laughing at him and he was doing this for maybe more than 100 years or 200 years until he completed it. During all this time, people were laughing at him, accusing him of craziness. But in the end, you saw what happened.
So for everything there is a time. When the time comes, who is denying and not accepting this will be regretful. During Mawlana’s life, some of the ‘Ulama (scholars) weren’t happy with him, and were saying something not good. But after Mawlana passed away, they all regretted that and came asking for forgiveness. They said, “We couldn’t ask forgiveness from him, please, we are sorry. Accept our forgiveness on behalf of Mawlana.”
AlhamduliLlah insha’Allah we love him, and Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam says, “You will be with whom you love.” And we are sure insha’Allah that we will meet him in Paradise and we will be forever with him. May Allah جل جلاله make you more and more people Hidayah (guidance) for these people.
These people are Masha’Allah good people, the people of Canada. Insha’Allah may Allah جل جلاله give them Hidayah and give them this happiness and for all people insha’Allah.
