A PLACE OF HAPPINESS AND SORROW Friday, 10 February 2023 / 19 Rajab 1444 Fajr Prayer, Akbaba Dergah.

“Subhana Allah Al-Wahid Al-‘Ahad”, “Glorified is Allah The One The Unique.” People cannot comprehend the Greatness and Magnificence of Allah.
The issue of this earthquake is not leaving the minds of people. It is a very big incident. Certainly, it happened by the order of Allah. They are saying it is because of this and that. Allah creates various reasons in order to test people’s Iman directly. Whoever passes the test will get through. Whoever says “If only this and that...” there is a saying that there is no remedy for the past and the dead.
Therefore, we must seek refuge in Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla. We must always be together with Allah. Every second, every moment we must not forget Allah; we must make Dhikr and remember Allah. People who do this will win. Otherwise, they will lose many things.
Allah made this world a place of tests. There is no comfort in this world. People are asking “What is this strange thing?” They are not relaxed at all. People want to be in comfort. The comfort of people is in Akhirah, not in this world. The rest is there. And here, it is the place of work and tests. It is the place of both happiness and sorrow. It is so here. Those

who don’t like it, there is nothing we can do. Allah created this world like this.
Allah does whatever He wants. Therefore, rely on Allah. Submit yourself to Allah. Submission is important. People who are in submission reach safety. A beautiful Hadith Sharif of our Holy Prophet sallaLlāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam, all of them are beautiful but this one says: “I am amazed by the affair of Muslims and believers. Even if they suffer in this world, they are still in profit. If they are not in suffering, they are in profit too”.
People who are Muslim and Mumin, people who rely on Allah are in profit in both cases. This beautiful saying of our Holy Prophetis great good tidings for us.
May Allah protect us. May He not test us. We are not servants of tests. But when we are tested, what can we do? It is the order of Allah. There is nothing we can do but conform with it. May Allah not separate us from Iman.
The most important thing, what’s more important than anything is Iman. Life and body are not important. Important is Iman. Who has Iman will be in profit.
May Allah give true Iman to all of us Insha Allah.

Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem: ‘’InnaAllāha Ma’as-Sabireen’’ “Indeed, Allah is with the patient.’’ Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla is with those who are patient. (Qur’ān 02:153).
‘’InnamāYuwaffá s-Sābirūna ‘AjrahumBighayriĤisāb’’ ‘’Indeed, the patient will be given their reward without account.’’(Qur’ān 39:10). The rewards of the patient ones are given without account. Such a great reward is given that only Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla knows this reward. Even angels cannot write it down.
Certainly, this condition now is extremely severe. You get upset when you look at it. This is a test from Allah. There is nothing these people can do but be patient with this test. May Allah help them. We ask that Allah gives patience, because without patience there is nothing one can do. When there is patience, Allah is with those who are patient. He will help them, and His Help is enormous. There is no one who can help but Allah.
Of course, people are helping from the outside. May Allah be pleased with them. They are sending food and water. But the actual spiritual support is from Allah. Because a normal person cannot carry this suffering. Unless Allah helps him, a person cannot carry it. And Allah will

give their rewards for being patient. Allah gives both the power of patience and the reward.
They say you cannot question the wisdom of Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla. What had to happen has happened. You can say “It was built weakly or strongly” as much as you want. What’s important is that whenever death has to come to someone, he will be there. It is said in Qur’an ‘Azimush-Shan that wherever and whenever the death of someone is, Allah knows everything about it. ’’Inna AllahaYa’lamu’’ ‘’Indeed, Allah knows‘’ (Qur’ān 16:74).
These are things known to Allah. Therefore, being patient with what has happened is the best thing for people.
Certainly, they are patient. May Allah help them. May Allah give them all their rewards Insha Allah. It is a very big test. It is a very big disaster and a test. May Allah make them from those who pass this test and may He reward them. The greater the suffering is, the greater Thawab is.
May Allah help them and may Allah protect them.

ORPHANS AND ADOPTION IN ISLAM Sunday, 12 February 2023 / 21 Rajab 1444 Fajr Prayer, Akbaba Dergah.

Our Holy Prophet sallaLlāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam says, “I and whoever takes care of an orphan will be next to each other like these two fingers.” Being together with our Holy Prophet in Akhirah is our biggest wish. And the greatest Thawab is to take care of orphans. Allah ‘Azza waJalla is Merciful. Its reward is as great in the sight of Allah. He grants great favors to those who take care of orphans.
Now there are many orphan children whose families died in this disaster. They want to give them to families. It is a good matter. It is not adoption. There is no adoption in Islam. You take care of an orphan child in Islam, but he must know his parents. As the religion of Islam is a pure religion, there is no confusion and interference in lineage. Wherever he comes from, whoever’s child he is; he must know this. He must know his father, grandfather and great grandfather. Therefore, there is no adoption. They call it a guardian family now. It is ok, because it is clear whose child he is.
Sometimes a child is given for adoption and he is not aware of it. When he finds out that his parents are not his real parents, it is a great devastation for that person no matter how old he is. He becomes depressed. Therefore, the religion of Islam gives the best thing to people. It gives the most needed things. It gives everything. Therefore, taking care of orphans, helping them and raising them is a great Thawab.

There are many people who want to do it, with the permission of Allah Insha Allah it will be beneficial for them as well. It is the order of Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla. The father of our Holy Prophet died as well before he was born. And his mother died in front of himwhen he was four years old. This is the will of Allah. Therefore, people who take care of those babies will attain great Thawab.
Those who are able to do it should do so. Who cannot do it, there are many others who can. There is no need to take a burden that one cannot carry. There are thousands of people who say “I can do it” who have no children. They will bring them up by taking care of them and will attain its reward.
May Allah be pleased with those who can do it. And may Allah be pleased with those who cannot do it also.

Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla tells in the Qur’an about the things that will happen. Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla is saying what will happen, that the sky will split, mountains will explode and that all of this is the sign of Qiyamah. “Who don’t accept it and belie it, woe to them!” says Allah ‘Azza waJalla. Because all the signs and apparent things, Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla shows them for people to believe and not to belie them. Yet, people are in Kufr.
There is stubbornness in Kufr. Kafirs are stubborn. Even though they see the truth, they don’t accept it. They say it doesn’t exist. We see the same in this world. Their condition will be bad in Akhirah as well. Because they consider the truth as lie and the lie as truth. And they are trying to persuade everyone to believe in it not to be alone.
Who has mind accepts the truth. Who doesn’t have mind will perish and be gone. Therefore, be from those who accept the truth. Don’t belie it. The way of truth is the way of Allah and the way of our Holy Prophet. The way is the way of truth and it takes people to happiness. Those who don’t accept it, who call it a lie, who call it fake will perish and be gone. Their ending will not be good.

Everything has happened by the will of Allah. Everything is created by Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla. Everything apparent and hidden is created by Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla. And Shukr to Allah, He made it known to people through Prophets. As He created everything, He is the one who knows. And who follows what He says will be saved. Who has mind follows what He says.
The rest of people who don’t accept the truth are blind. Their mind is not ok. Who are together with the truth are ok. But they are not accepting that. They say who follow the truth/Haqq are stupid and crazy. And they will regret it later. May Allah protect us.
May Allah give strength to our Iman Insha Allah.

Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem: “Wa Laqad Karramna Bani Adam waHamalnahum fil-Barri walBahri’’ “And We have certainly honored the children of Adam and carried them on the land and sea.’’(Qur’ān 17:70).
Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla is saying mankind is created as the most valuable creature among all creation. “We gave them mind. And we have helped them in seas and on land”, says Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla.
Mankind is created as valuable in front of Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla. But how does their worth show? Through piety. Who obeys Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla and follows the way He has ordered attains that honor. The favors of Allah are not according to things appointed by mankind themselves but through obedience to Allah.
What kind of people do people of the present time value more? It is according to their own minds: “This one is famous and has a lot of money. This one is beautiful. That one is so and so”. Very few are those who value people for following the way of Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla. They are the truly valuable ones.

People are following whatever their ego wants. They obey it or strive to be like them. No need to deal with it, because the attribute of people of the present time is mostly selfishness. Their attribute is self-admiration and not admiring others. And they especially don’t like those who are on the way of Allah. They like those who are on the way of shaytan. This decreases their worth. The true worth, the jewel is in those who are on the way of Allah. The rest is fake like decoration items as glass and tin. They shine for a while; and then there is neither shine nor worth. They deteriorate and disappear.
Therefore, it is important to value those who are valued by Allah, to strive to become like them and to follow that way. Your worth increases then. You become worthy in the sight of Allah. Otherwise, you lose all your worth. Even if people value you for some time, they will forget you eventually. You will be thrown away in vain. May Allah protect us. May we be worthy of the favors of Allah Insha Allah.
May Allah not separate us from the right way.

THE QUR’AN IS LIGHT Wednesday, 15 February 2023 / 24 Rajab 1444 Fajr Prayer, Akbaba Dergah.

Our Holy Prophet sallaLlāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam says, “The person who does not know anything from the Qur’an inside him is like a ruined house.” It is the beautiful word of our Holy Prophet. The inside of a person becomes prosperous with the Qur’an and the word of Allah. Otherwise, there won’t be anything; it is like a ruined house.
Now they build houses and palaces for people in this world. They are beautiful from the outside. And even if it seems like it’s beautiful on the inside but it is ruined. Because it is of no benefit for Akhirah. It darkens one’s inside [heart] because it has no spirituality.
Now we see there are the palaces of people of old times, the nonMuslims. It looks very wonderful from the outside. When you go inside, there is nothing. They are places of heaviness and darkness. Because there is no word of Allah. Allah’s name is not mentioned. It is made for Dunya. The view is beautiful from the outside, but it is useless on the inside. It darkens one’s inside and it puts people in darkness.
Therefore, the Qur’an is light. The word of Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla is light. It is the light that illuminates the inside of people. When you enter the mosques and Dergahs of Muslims, it gives you relief, it gives you light with the permission of Allah. It does not give darkness. What gives

darkness are the useless places. Any place that doesn’t have the Dhikr of Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla, no matter how beautiful those places look from the outside or inside, they do not give relief, they give nothing but darkness.
Therefore, if you want to get relief, put the Qur’an inside you, put the word of Allah Azza wa-Jalla inside you. And we will be illuminated by its light Insha Allah. May Allah give us all this light. With light there will be relief and beauty. With darkness there will be hardship, there will be all kinds of badness.
May Allah protect us.

Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem: “Wata‘āwanū ‘ala l-birri wa t-taqwāwa la ta‘āwanū ‘ala llithmīwa l-‘udwān’’ “And cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and aggression.’’(Qur’ān 05:02).
Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla is saying, “Help each other.” Help in doing goodness, support each other. Help other people. And most importantly, help your closest ones. It is the most important. The closest ones are your relatives, children and siblings. Whoever relatives are, they should help. And when someone is married, people should help each other.
Of course, sometimes a man can be poor. His wife may support him. Certainly, it is the duty of a man to look after the household, children and his wife. But sometimes it happens in such a way that we hear a lot about it, a man is poor and he gets married. And his wife has to work and take care of him. And as if that is not enough, she has to take a bank loan in his name. It is unclear what he will do with it. And then he says to his wife, “Are you not a derwish? You have to to take care of me. You have to help me for Allāh.”
This is wrong. That is not help. That is direct crookedness. It is exploiting others. It is wrong. In Islām, men must work. But as we said, if a woman is capable, she may take care of the household and provide

food. But buying a car or a house, or even taking a bank loan is both foolishness and crookedness. It is wrong. We must pay attention to this. “You must obey me. You must help me.” They cheat women by saying so and then run away. They repulse from Islām, ṭarīqah and sufism.
Men and women must be careful about this. We always get complaints about people like this. There is no obligation for a woman to give money to her husband, to take loans. But as we said, if she is rich, she can feed him and not demand anything. But giving money to him on top of that for going out is completely wrong. Allāh is not happy then. And our Holy Prophet is not happy. The Awliyā’ are not happy as well. May Allāh protect us from such people, from their evil.
They say such people can get water if they squeeze a stone. May Allāh give mind and understanding to these people as they think they are in profit by doing so. That`s not profit. That puts your rank down. It decreases your value. Your rank and worth go down in the sight of Allāh. And your worth goes down among people.
Allāh loves hardworking ones. He loves content people. Content people are fine. But as we said, those who take more than they should, who make it a habit are not good.

Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem: ‘‘Subĥāna Al-Ladhī `Asrá Bi`abdihi Laylāan Mina Al-Masjidi Al-Ĥarāmi `Ilá Al-Masjidi Al-`Aqşá Al-Ladhī Bāraknā Ĥawlahu Linuriyahu Min `Āyātinā ۚ◌ `Innahu Huwa As-Samī`u Al-Basir’’(Qur’ān 17:01).
‘’Glorified (and Exalted) be He who took His Servant by night from alMasjid al-Haram to al-Masjid alAqsa, whose surroundings We have blessed, to show him of Our signs. Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Seeing.’ ṢadaqaLlāhu l-‘aẓīm.
Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla is showing and telling us about one of the greatest miracles of our Holy Prophet, the miracle of Isrā’wa-l-Mi‘rāj in sūrat alIsrā’.
It is the sign for the infinity of power of Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla who is Subḥān. No one is called Subḥān apart from Allāh‘Azza wa-Jalla. It shows His greatness, as He showed many things on that night to our Holy Prophet ṣalláLlāhu’alayhi wa-sallam. In order to show the greatness of the maqām of our Holy Prophet to people and in order to take him to the highest rank in His presence on that night, it is told to us in Qur‘ān ‘Aẓīmush-Shān.

Laylatul Isrā’ wa-l-Mi‘rāj is a great night. It happens on the 27th of Rajab. That night is a holy night. Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla made that night blessed for the honor of our Holy Prophet to his ummah.
The night is a holy night. What shall we do on the holy night? What we can do is; many people have missed prayers. They can do goodness and charity as well. That will be more accepted on that night. Because the gifts Allāh‘Azza wa-Jalla gave to our Holy Prophet are not only until qiyāmah, they are eternal.
People who want to benefit from them can do so. But certainly, shayṭān doesn`t like this. And people who are like shayṭān don`t like this. They call it bid‘ah. They say “Don`t do it. Don`t gather and celebrate.” When our Holy Prophet says, “Gather and be in jamā‘ah. Be united”, why shouldn`t we gather? Why shouldn`t we make dhikr of Allāh? We are not gathering in an assembly for Ma La Ya’ni (useless things). We are gathering for the pleasure of Allāh. We are gathering for mentioning our Holy Prophet. We are gathering to remember him, to make ṣalawāt. This beautiful miracle of our Holy Prophet is the means for it. It is a very big miracle that mankind had not seen such a miracle until that time.

Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem: ‘’InnaAllāha Ma’as-Sabireen’’ “Indeed, Allah is with the patient.’’ Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla is with those who are patient. (Qur’ān 02:153).
‘’InnamāYuwaffá s-Sābirūna ‘AjrahumBighayriĤisāb’’ ‘’Indeed, the patient will be given their reward without account.’’(Qur’ān 39:10). The rewards of the patient ones are given without account. Such a great reward is given that only Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla knows this reward. Even angels cannot write it down.
Certainly, this condition now is extremely severe. You get upset when you look at it. This is a test from Allah. There is nothing these people can do but be patient with this test. May Allah help them. We ask that Allah gives patience, because without patience there is nothing one can do. When there is patience, Allah is with those who are patient. He will help them, and His Help is enormous. There is no one who can help but Allah.
Of course, people are helping from the outside. May Allah be pleased with them. They are sending food and water. But the actual spiritual support is from Allah. Because a normal person cannot carry this suffering. Unless Allah helps him, a person cannot carry it. And Allah will

give their rewards for being patient. Allah gives both the power of patience and the reward.
They say you cannot question the wisdom of Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla. What had to happen has happened. You can say “It was built weakly or strongly” as much as you want. What’s important is that whenever death has to come to someone, he will be there. It is said in Qur’an ‘Azimush-Shan that wherever and whenever the death of someone is, Allah knows everything about it. ’’Inna AllahaYa’lamu’’ ‘’Indeed, Allah knows‘’ (Qur’ān 16:74).
These are things known to Allah. Therefore, being patient with what has happened is the best thing for people.
Certainly, they are patient. May Allah help them. May Allah give them all their rewards Insha Allah. It is a very big test. It is a very big disaster and a test. May Allah make them from those who pass this test and may He reward them. The greater the suffering is, the greater Thawab is.
May Allah help them and may Allah protect them.

ORPHANS AND ADOPTION IN ISLAM Sunday, 12 February 2023 / 21 Rajab 1444 Fajr Prayer, Akbaba Dergah.

Our Holy Prophet sallaLlāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam says, “I and whoever takes care of an orphan will be next to each other like these two fingers.” Being together with our Holy Prophet in Akhirah is our biggest wish. And the greatest Thawab is to take care of orphans. Allah ‘Azza waJalla is Merciful. Its reward is as great in the sight of Allah. He grants great favors to those who take care of orphans.
Now there are many orphan children whose families died in this disaster. They want to give them to families. It is a good matter. It is not adoption. There is no adoption in Islam. You take care of an orphan child in Islam, but he must know his parents. As the religion of Islam is a pure religion, there is no confusion and interference in lineage. Wherever he comes from, whoever’s child he is; he must know this. He must know his father, grandfather and great grandfather. Therefore, there is no adoption. They call it a guardian family now. It is ok, because it is clear whose child he is.
Sometimes a child is given for adoption and he is not aware of it. When he finds out that his parents are not his real parents, it is a great devastation for that person no matter how old he is. He becomes depressed. Therefore, the religion of Islam gives the best thing to people. It gives the most needed things. It gives everything. Therefore, taking care of orphans, helping them and raising them is a great Thawab.

There are many people who want to do it, with the permission of Allah Insha Allah it will be beneficial for them as well. It is the order of Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla. The father of our Holy Prophet died as well before he was born. And his mother died in front of himwhen he was four years old. This is the will of Allah. Therefore, people who take care of those babies will attain great Thawab.
Those who are able to do it should do so. Who cannot do it, there are many others who can. There is no need to take a burden that one cannot carry. There are thousands of people who say “I can do it” who have no children. They will bring them up by taking care of them and will attain its reward.
May Allah be pleased with those who can do it. And may Allah be pleased with those who cannot do it also.

Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla tells in the Qur’an about the things that will happen. Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla is saying what will happen, that the sky will split, mountains will explode and that all of this is the sign of Qiyamah. “Who don’t accept it and belie it, woe to them!” says Allah ‘Azza waJalla. Because all the signs and apparent things, Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla shows them for people to believe and not to belie them. Yet, people are in Kufr.
There is stubbornness in Kufr. Kafirs are stubborn. Even though they see the truth, they don’t accept it. They say it doesn’t exist. We see the same in this world. Their condition will be bad in Akhirah as well. Because they consider the truth as lie and the lie as truth. And they are trying to persuade everyone to believe in it not to be alone.
Who has mind accepts the truth. Who doesn’t have mind will perish and be gone. Therefore, be from those who accept the truth. Don’t belie it. The way of truth is the way of Allah and the way of our Holy Prophet. The way is the way of truth and it takes people to happiness. Those who don’t accept it, who call it a lie, who call it fake will perish and be gone. Their ending will not be good.

Everything has happened by the will of Allah. Everything is created by Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla. Everything apparent and hidden is created by Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla. And Shukr to Allah, He made it known to people through Prophets. As He created everything, He is the one who knows. And who follows what He says will be saved. Who has mind follows what He says.
The rest of people who don’t accept the truth are blind. Their mind is not ok. Who are together with the truth are ok. But they are not accepting that. They say who follow the truth/Haqq are stupid and crazy. And they will regret it later. May Allah protect us.
May Allah give strength to our Iman Insha Allah.

Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem: “Wa Laqad Karramna Bani Adam waHamalnahum fil-Barri walBahri’’ “And We have certainly honored the children of Adam and carried them on the land and sea.’’(Qur’ān 17:70).
Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla is saying mankind is created as the most valuable creature among all creation. “We gave them mind. And we have helped them in seas and on land”, says Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla.
Mankind is created as valuable in front of Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla. But how does their worth show? Through piety. Who obeys Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla and follows the way He has ordered attains that honor. The favors of Allah are not according to things appointed by mankind themselves but through obedience to Allah.
What kind of people do people of the present time value more? It is according to their own minds: “This one is famous and has a lot of money. This one is beautiful. That one is so and so”. Very few are those who value people for following the way of Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla. They are the truly valuable ones.

People are following whatever their ego wants. They obey it or strive to be like them. No need to deal with it, because the attribute of people of the present time is mostly selfishness. Their attribute is self-admiration and not admiring others. And they especially don’t like those who are on the way of Allah. They like those who are on the way of shaytan. This decreases their worth. The true worth, the jewel is in those who are on the way of Allah. The rest is fake like decoration items as glass and tin. They shine for a while; and then there is neither shine nor worth. They deteriorate and disappear.
Therefore, it is important to value those who are valued by Allah, to strive to become like them and to follow that way. Your worth increases then. You become worthy in the sight of Allah. Otherwise, you lose all your worth. Even if people value you for some time, they will forget you eventually. You will be thrown away in vain. May Allah protect us. May we be worthy of the favors of Allah Insha Allah.
May Allah not separate us from the right way.

THE QUR’AN IS LIGHT Wednesday, 15 February 2023 / 24 Rajab 1444 Fajr Prayer, Akbaba Dergah.

Our Holy Prophet sallaLlāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam says, “The person who does not know anything from the Qur’an inside him is like a ruined house.” It is the beautiful word of our Holy Prophet. The inside of a person becomes prosperous with the Qur’an and the word of Allah. Otherwise, there won’t be anything; it is like a ruined house.
Now they build houses and palaces for people in this world. They are beautiful from the outside. And even if it seems like it’s beautiful on the inside but it is ruined. Because it is of no benefit for Akhirah. It darkens one’s inside [heart] because it has no spirituality.
Now we see there are the palaces of people of old times, the nonMuslims. It looks very wonderful from the outside. When you go inside, there is nothing. They are places of heaviness and darkness. Because there is no word of Allah. Allah’s name is not mentioned. It is made for Dunya. The view is beautiful from the outside, but it is useless on the inside. It darkens one’s inside and it puts people in darkness.
Therefore, the Qur’an is light. The word of Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla is light. It is the light that illuminates the inside of people. When you enter the mosques and Dergahs of Muslims, it gives you relief, it gives you light with the permission of Allah. It does not give darkness. What gives

darkness are the useless places. Any place that doesn’t have the Dhikr of Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla, no matter how beautiful those places look from the outside or inside, they do not give relief, they give nothing but darkness.
Therefore, if you want to get relief, put the Qur’an inside you, put the word of Allah Azza wa-Jalla inside you. And we will be illuminated by its light Insha Allah. May Allah give us all this light. With light there will be relief and beauty. With darkness there will be hardship, there will be all kinds of badness.
May Allah protect us.

Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem: “Wata‘āwanū ‘ala l-birri wa t-taqwāwa la ta‘āwanū ‘ala llithmīwa l-‘udwān’’ “And cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and aggression.’’(Qur’ān 05:02).
Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla is saying, “Help each other.” Help in doing goodness, support each other. Help other people. And most importantly, help your closest ones. It is the most important. The closest ones are your relatives, children and siblings. Whoever relatives are, they should help. And when someone is married, people should help each other.
Of course, sometimes a man can be poor. His wife may support him. Certainly, it is the duty of a man to look after the household, children and his wife. But sometimes it happens in such a way that we hear a lot about it, a man is poor and he gets married. And his wife has to work and take care of him. And as if that is not enough, she has to take a bank loan in his name. It is unclear what he will do with it. And then he says to his wife, “Are you not a derwish? You have to to take care of me. You have to help me for Allāh.”
This is wrong. That is not help. That is direct crookedness. It is exploiting others. It is wrong. In Islām, men must work. But as we said, if a woman is capable, she may take care of the household and provide

food. But buying a car or a house, or even taking a bank loan is both foolishness and crookedness. It is wrong. We must pay attention to this. “You must obey me. You must help me.” They cheat women by saying so and then run away. They repulse from Islām, ṭarīqah and sufism.
Men and women must be careful about this. We always get complaints about people like this. There is no obligation for a woman to give money to her husband, to take loans. But as we said, if she is rich, she can feed him and not demand anything. But giving money to him on top of that for going out is completely wrong. Allāh is not happy then. And our Holy Prophet is not happy. The Awliyā’ are not happy as well. May Allāh protect us from such people, from their evil.
They say such people can get water if they squeeze a stone. May Allāh give mind and understanding to these people as they think they are in profit by doing so. That`s not profit. That puts your rank down. It decreases your value. Your rank and worth go down in the sight of Allāh. And your worth goes down among people.
Allāh loves hardworking ones. He loves content people. Content people are fine. But as we said, those who take more than they should, who make it a habit are not good.

Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem: ‘‘Subĥāna Al-Ladhī `Asrá Bi`abdihi Laylāan Mina Al-Masjidi Al-Ĥarāmi `Ilá Al-Masjidi Al-`Aqşá Al-Ladhī Bāraknā Ĥawlahu Linuriyahu Min `Āyātinā ۚ◌ `Innahu Huwa As-Samī`u Al-Basir’’(Qur’ān 17:01).
‘’Glorified (and Exalted) be He who took His Servant by night from alMasjid al-Haram to al-Masjid alAqsa, whose surroundings We have blessed, to show him of Our signs. Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Seeing.’ ṢadaqaLlāhu l-‘aẓīm.
Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla is showing and telling us about one of the greatest miracles of our Holy Prophet, the miracle of Isrā’wa-l-Mi‘rāj in sūrat alIsrā’.
It is the sign for the infinity of power of Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla who is Subḥān. No one is called Subḥān apart from Allāh‘Azza wa-Jalla. It shows His greatness, as He showed many things on that night to our Holy Prophet ṣalláLlāhu’alayhi wa-sallam. In order to show the greatness of the maqām of our Holy Prophet to people and in order to take him to the highest rank in His presence on that night, it is told to us in Qur‘ān ‘Aẓīmush-Shān.

Laylatul Isrā’ wa-l-Mi‘rāj is a great night. It happens on the 27th of Rajab. That night is a holy night. Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla made that night blessed for the honor of our Holy Prophet to his ummah.
The night is a holy night. What shall we do on the holy night? What we can do is; many people have missed prayers. They can do goodness and charity as well. That will be more accepted on that night. Because the gifts Allāh‘Azza wa-Jalla gave to our Holy Prophet are not only until qiyāmah, they are eternal.
People who want to benefit from them can do so. But certainly, shayṭān doesn`t like this. And people who are like shayṭān don`t like this. They call it bid‘ah. They say “Don`t do it. Don`t gather and celebrate.” When our Holy Prophet says, “Gather and be in jamā‘ah. Be united”, why shouldn`t we gather? Why shouldn`t we make dhikr of Allāh? We are not gathering in an assembly for Ma La Ya’ni (useless things). We are gathering for the pleasure of Allāh. We are gathering for mentioning our Holy Prophet. We are gathering to remember him, to make ṣalawāt. This beautiful miracle of our Holy Prophet is the means for it. It is a very big miracle that mankind had not seen such a miracle until that time.
