FOR THE HONOR OF AWLIYA

28 December 2022/ 04 Jumada al-Akhir 1444
Fajr Prayer, Akbaba Dergah

As-Salāmu ‘Alaykum wa RaḥmatuLlāhi wa Barakātuh.

A‘ūdhu BiLlāhi Minash-shayṭāni r-rajīm. BismiLlāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm.

Wa ṣ-Salātu wa s-Salāmu ‘alá Rasūlinā Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-Awwalīna wa l-Akhirīn. Madad yā RasūlAllāh, Madad yā Sādāti Aṣḥābi RasūliLlāh, Madad yā Mashāyikhinā, Dastūr Mawlana Sheikh Abdullāh al-Fā’iz ad-Dāghistāni, Sheikh Muḥammad Nāẓim al- Ḥaqqānī. Madad.

Ṭarīqatunā aṣ-Suḥbah wa l-Khayru fi l-Jam‘iyyah.

BismiLlahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim:

أَلَآ إِنَّ أَوْلِيَآءَ ٱللَّهِ لَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ
(Qur’ān 10:62).
‘’Alā inna awliyā’a Llāhi lā khawfun a’layhim wa-lā hum yaḥzanūn’’
‘’Verily on the friends of Allah there is no fear, nor shall they grieve.’’

There is no fear and no sadness for Awliya and the servants of Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla. Our father Mawlana Shaykh Nazim was one of the greatest Awliya as well. We went to visit his Maqam and came back, Shukr to Allah ,جل جلاله

Awliya come to help you whenever you call them with the permission of Allah ,جل جلاله. Visiting their Maqam is something done for the pleasure of Allah جل جلاله out of Adab and respect.

Otherwise, they are everywhere. Wherever you are, the Ayat and Surahs you recite for their souls, and the goodness you do for them reach both them and yourself. And they are accepted more for you.

Our Holy Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam says that for all the worship and goodness you do, when you wish the same for your parents, it will go to them and nothing will be decreased from you. Don’t be afraid that it will be decreased from your Thawab.

So the more you send to the souls of Awliya, the worship and goodness we do will be accepted more for their honor. We are acting based on our egos most of the time. There is showing off or arrogance in our worship; saying, “I did this and that.” That is faulty. But when you send it to them, Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla accepts your worship for their honor.
Therefore, these beautiful things, this beautiful way - we are going on the beautiful way of our Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم.

There are many shaytans that are confusing people. They say, “You are making Shirk. You are doing this and that”. This is not Shirk. For their honor, we are worshipping Allah جل جلاله, not them. And through them, all our worship and goodness brings the same Thawab to both them and us. As they are beloved servants of Allah جل جلاله, it is accepted even more.

May Allah جل جلاله make it destined for us all to do these beautiful things, because it is the matter of destiny. Many people are walking around thinking they know what is going on in Dunya, whereas they don’t know anything about Dunya and Akhirah. Those who don’t understand the religion and Iman are one thing, and those who claim to know and those attempts to destroy the religion are another . May Allah ,جل جلاله help us insha’Allah.

May Allah جل جلاله protect all of us.

Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq. Al-Fatiha

THE PRINCIPLE OF TARĪQAH

26 December 2022/ 02 Jumada al-Akhir 1444
Lefka, Cyprus

As-Salāmu ‘Alaykum wa Raḥmatullāhi wa Barakātuh.

A‘ūdhu Billāhi Minash-shayṭāni r-rajīm. Bismillāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm.

Wa ṣ-Salātu wa s-Salāmu ‘alá Rasūlinā Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-Awwalīna wa l-Akhirīn. Madad yā RasūlAllāh, Madad yā Sādāti Aṣḥābi Rasūlillāh, Madad yā Mashāyikhinā, Dastūr Mawlana Sheikh Abdullāh al-Fā’iz ad-Dāghistāni, Sheikh Muḥammad Nāẓim al-Ḥaqqānī. Madad.

Ṭarīqatunā aṣ-Suḥbah wa l-Khayru fi l-Jam‘iyyah.

Our Tarīqah is the way of our Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم with the permission of Allāh جل جلاله. It is the way to Him صلى الله عليه وسلم . It is going on his .صلى الله عليه وسلم way . A du’a of our Holy Prophet .صلى الله عليه وسلم tells about the way that Muslims must follow. It is always the motto of our Tarīqah inshā’Allāh. Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm:

اللَّهُمَّ أعِنَّا عَلَى ذِكْرِكَ وَشُكْرِكَ وَحُسْنِ عِبَادَتِكَ ولا تَجْعَلْنَا مِنَ الْغَافِلِين

“Allahumma a’inna ‘alā dhikrika wa shukrika wa ḥusni `ibādatika wala taj’alna mina l-ghafilin”,
“O Allah, help us to remember You, to give You thanks, and to perform Your worship in the best manner, and make us not from the heedless.”

This is the Dua of our Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم. May Allāh جل جلاله help us. Help us in what? To always remember Allāh جل جلاله by making Dhikr and to make shukr. Making Shukr to Allāh جل جلاله is a great blessing. With Shukr, Allāh جل جلاله increases goodness, favors and Barakah. The more you make Shukr to Allāh جل جلاله, the more benefit you get.

And then “ḥusni `ibādatika”, to worship in the best way. To worship in the best way is to worship on time with the Sunnah and Mustahabb. How many Sunnah there is, to perform them and present them in worship in the presence of Allāh جل جلاله is a great gift. Not everyone can do it.

And then he صلى الله عليه وسلم said: “Don’t make us from the heedless ones.” There are many heedless people. People who spend their lives in heedlessness are the majority. They are not many but the majority. Few people are not heedless. Many people are heedless. Heedlessness is not a good thing. They waste their lives in vain. La Tashbih/no comparison - just as some people get on the bus and sometimes fall asleep. They miss their stop then. They go all the way until the last stop and wake up confused, “Oh my God! Where am I?!” Heedlessness is like this. It is something similar to this. They lose a couple of minutes, even if they lose 5-10 minutes or an hour, it is nothing. But people in heedlessness lose all their lives. They waste them in vain.

Therefore, this Dua is the principle of our Tarīqah. It also says, “May Allāh جل جلاله help us .
“اللَّهُمَّ أعِنَّا عَلَى ذِكْرِكَ

“Allahumma a’inna ‘alā dhikrik.” “A’inna” means“ May Allah جل جلاله help us .
so that we are not defeated by our egos. With Your جل جلاله help, with Your جل جلاله protection, with the will power You جل جلاله give, we will do everything easily, with love and enjoyment insha’Allah.

These are the most important things for people in Tarīqah. To always remember Allāh جل جلاله, to make Dhikr of Allāh جل جلاله, to make Shukr to Allāh جل جلاله and to perform the worship of Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla in the best way.

We must accept such a worship not as a burden but as a gift. When people pray, it is not that they lift off a burden quickly. It is a great happiness to wait for it and to be in the presence of Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla. You should pay attention to it and know it like that. Many people pray quickly and hastily; No. It is ok too. Certainly, it is good to perform the Fard prayers. But praying in the best way, praying in a more accepted and virtuous way has more virtues.

May Allāh جل جلاله make all of us successful in applying this Dua of our Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم insha’Allah.

Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq. Al-Fatiha.

MAKE INTENTION FOR ALLAH جل جلاله

25 December 2022/ 01 Jumada al-Akhir 1444
Lefka, Cyprus

As-Salāmu ‘Alaykum wa Raḥmatullāhi wa Barakātuh.

A‘ūdhu Billāhi Minash-shayṭāni r-rajīm. Bismillāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm.

Wa ṣ-Salātu wa s-Salāmu ‘alá Rasūlinā Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-Awwalīna wa l-Akhirīn. Madad yā RasūlAllāh, Madad yā Sādāti Aṣḥābi Rasūlillāh, Madad yā Mashāyikhinā, Dastūr Mawlana Sheikh Abdullāh al-Fā’iz ad-Dāghistāni, Sheikh Muḥammad Nāẓim al-Ḥaqqānī. Madad.

Ṭarīqatunā aṣ-Suḥbah wa l-Khayru fi l-Jam‘iyyah.

Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm:
وَمَا تَفْعَلُوا۟ مِنْ خَيْرٍ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ بِهِۦ عَلِيمٌ
(Qur’an 02:215).
“Wa-mā tafʿalū min khayrin fa-inna llāha bihī ʿalīm”,
“And whatever you do of good - indeed, Allah is Knowing of it.”

Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla knows it. It is important that Allāh جل جلاله knows. And it is not important if other people know it or not.

But in order to show off, mankind does many things by demonstrating it. Their intention is as such that many people do certain things because someone else did it. They build schools and other things, and put their names on them. It is not for the pleasure of Allāh جل جلاله then. Their intention is for people to know them. When they make it for their names to live, their intention is not for a good purpose, but for their egos. They do it for themselves and their pride.

Because when something is done for Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla, no matter if it is demolished or still there, Allāh جل جلاله accepts that goodness until qiyāmah. Because the intention of that person is for people to use those good things and to have the share of the pleasure of Allāh جل جلاله for the usage by those people.

Muslims used to do like this in old times. But nowadays, most of them do it in order to avoid paying taxes. They avoid paying taxes and put their names on what they do, as if they own some charity. It is not charity. They do it in order to satisfy their egos as if they are doing something good.

Allāh جل جلاله doesn't wish goodness to those people. The people He جل جلاله wishes goodness to are those who make charity for the pleasure of Allāh جل جلاله, whose intention is for Allāh جل جلاله. Such people can do whatever they want. Even if they plant a tree and people or animals eat from it or rest under its shade and benefit from it, it is for their goodness. Their intention is good then. Allāh جل جلاله rewards them for this when it is not done for showing off and to say this person did so and so.

Certainly, if someone does goodness and puts his name or the name of his father or mother, yet his intention is the pleasure of Allāh جل جلاله and for people to make du‘ā’ for them, it is accepted. It is ok. But things done without remembering Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla at all are useless. They are done for nothing.

May Allāh جل جلاله let people see the benefit of the goodness they do. Because as we said, they do it, but it has greater benefits, spiritual benefits in the presence of Allāh جل جلاله which are greater. May people think about it insha’Allah.

May things not be done for nothing insha’Allah.

Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq. Al-Fatiha.

TAKE LESSONS FROM LIFE

24 December 2022/ 30 Jumada al-Awwal 1444 Lefka, Cyprus
As-Salāmu ‘Alaykum wa Raḥmatullāhi wa Barakātuh.
A‘ūdhu Billāhi Minash-shayṭāni r-rajīm. Bismillāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm.
Wa ṣ-Salātu wa s-Salāmu ‘alá Rasūlinā Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-Awwalīna wa l-Akhirīn. Madad yā RasūlAllāh, Madad yā Sādāti Aṣḥābi Rasūlillāh, Madad yā Mashāyikhinā, Dastūr Mawlana Sheikh Abdullāh al-Fā’iz ad-Dāghistāni, Sheikh Muḥammad Nāẓim al-Ḥaqqānī. Madad.
Ṭarīqatunā aṣ-Suḥbah wa l-Khayru fi l-Jam‘iyyah.
Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla is saying:
فَٱعْتَبِرُوا۟ يَـٰٓأُو۟لِى ٱلْأَبْصَـٰرِ
“Fa-ʿtabirū yā-ʾulī l-ʾabṣār”,
“So take warning, O people of vision.” (Qur’an.)59:02
يَـٰٓأُو۟لِى ٱلْأَلْبَـٰبِ
“Yā-ʾulī l-ʾalbab”,
“O you [people] of understanding”.
(Qur’an 02:179).
He .جل جلاله says to take lessons. Take lessons from what you see. People with hearts who understand, take a lesson. Our life is a lesson. And the lives of the people before are also lessons for mankind to correct themselves, to be on the right way, to be from the good people and to be with good people in ākhirah.
Because the stories of all Prophets, since Ādam ‘alayhi s-salām until this time, there have always been good ones and bad ones. The good ones are those who are on the way of Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla, who are with the Prophets and righteous people. Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla is praising them. Who are with them will be saved. Who love them will be saved too.
And opposite to them are people with shayṭān who are enemies of Allāh .جل جلاله They are disgraced and cursed. Those who are with them lose in their lives. They lose in their real life in ākhirah. So when they enter hell, they will swear at those who put them in such a condition. They will beg to give them double punishment and cause them double suffering. But the latter will say, “You shouldn’t have followed us.” This is a lesson.
This lesson has been the same for a thousand years. People should take a lesson. Clever people take a lesson. They live their lives with obedience to Allāh .جل جلاله with people beloved by Allāh جل جلاله. Those who don't take a lesson are always with people who are cursed, who deserve the punishment, rage and curse of Allāh .جل جلاله . Who go along with them are always in loss. And they make others lose.
Therefore, taking a lesson is important. People can take lessons from their own lives; How life passes by instantly; How acquaintances and this and that, people who shake the ground cannot control themselves in the end. They shake themselves and fall into a pitiful condition.
People should take a lesson from this as well. Taking lessons and examples - Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla says to mankind the goal is to take a lesson and to come to the right way. But the result is they say, “It was so but became so.” It was not like this. It was like that. You can be just like them. This world will not remain to anyone.
May Allāh جل جلاله protect us. May we take a lesson insha’Allah.
Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq. Al-Fatiha.

HURRY TO ASK FORGIVENESS

23 December 2022/ 29 Jumada al-Awwal 1444
Lefka, Cyprus
As-Salāmu ‘Alaykum wa Raḥmatullāhi wa Barakātuh.
A‘ūdhu Billāhi Minash-shayṭāni r-rajīm. Bismillāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm.
Wa ṣ-Salātu wa s-Salāmu ‘alá Rasūlinā Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-Awwalīna wa l-Akhirīn. Madad yā RasūlAllāh, Madad yā Sādāti Aṣḥābi Rasūlillāh, Madad yā Mashāyikhinā, Dastūr Mawlana Sheikh Abdullāh al-Fā’iz ad-Dāghistāni, Sheikh Muḥammad Nāẓim al-Ḥaqqānī. Madad.
Ṭarīqatunā aṣ-Suḥbah wa l-Khayru fi l-Jam‘iyyah.
Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla says in the āyah we read in the khuṭbah, which starts as:
وَسَارِعُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ مَغْفِرَةٍ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ
“Wa Sāri’ū ‘Ila Maghfiratin Min Rabbikum”, “And hasten to forgiveness from your Lord.” (Qur’an 03:133)
Hurry in asking forgiveness from Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla. Rush for it. Rush for repenting and asking forgiveness, as the forgiveness and mercy of Allāh جل جلاله are great.
Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla has generosity and mercy as great as heavens and earth. Whatever you do, as long as you repent and ask forgiveness, Allāh جل جلاله will accept and forgive. Allāh جل جلاله is Forgiving. He جل جلاله is ‘Afuww - the Most Forgiving. La Tashbih/ no comparison, but when mankind does something, some people forgive it, but they can’t forgive certain things. However, Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla forgives when they ask forgiveness and turn to the right way.
Therefore, He جل جلاله says not to miss this chance. You never know when someone dies. When he dies, there is no more Door of Repentance. But there is a chance while alive. As soon as you pass away to the second life, there is no chance at all. You may regret, repent and ask forgiveness as much as you want.
Therefore, it is not good to hurry in worldly matters. But in the matters of ākhirah, people should always be in hurry. Our people used to say about prayers in old times:
عَجِّلُوا بِالصَّلاةِ قَبْلَ الْفَوْتِ، وَعَجِّلُوا بِالتَّوْبَةِ قَبْلَ الْمَوْتِ
“Hurry up to perform prayer before the time passes, and hurry up in repentance before death comes.”
Hurry to pray before the time is up. Otherwise, it is a big loss for people. Because a prayer not performed on time makes you miss great virtues. And it has time just as life. While the time of ẓuhr is until ‘aṣr, ‘aṣr is until maghrib, maghrib is until ‘ishā’; time runs out quickly. Therefore, you should pray on time, do its Sunnah and Adab/practices, make tasbīḥāt and earn the virtues.
And you should repent before you die.
وَعَجِّلُوا بِالتَّوْبَةِ قَبْلَ الْمَوْتِ”
“And hurry up in repentance before death comes.”
Hurry in repenting. Hurry up as this chance exists while you are alive, while you are breathing. When your breath is cut, it will be gone then. It will have no benefit. You can repent and cry as much as you want, you can regret as much as you want, it will be gone.
Therefore, these chances to make charity, to do good deeds exist while you are alive. Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla loves all of those who help people, who forgive other people and hold their temper.
وَٱللَّهُ يُحِبُّ ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ
‘‘Wa Llāhu yuḥibbu l- muḥsinīn’’
‘’And Allah loves the doers of good.’’
(Qur’ān 03:134).
Allāh جل جلاله loves those who are kind and do goodness. And Allāh جل جلاله doesn’t like those who don’t do goodness but do badness. People should know this. “I don’t do anything. I don’t pray or anything. But I do good things.” Your goodness is incomplete. Complete it while you have this chance. Don’t give any excuse to yourself.
Because people hurry to do worldy things so much, they run so quickly that they keep themselves in suffering. If they did 1% of what they do for dunyā for the pleasure of Allāh جل جلاله, everything would be the best for them. But they are not doing so. You hear here and there in the news they make a sale somewhere. People can’t sleep at all for all night. They wait in front of that shop to buy something. And don’t tell them to wake up to pray, to pray two rakāt for the pleasure of Allāh جل جلاله. Even if they wake up and you tell them to pray, they are too lazy for it.
Mankind has become servants of their egos. They are lazy in things for the pleasure of Allāh جل جلاله. But they are very hardworking and diligent in things that are for shayṭān and ego. Therefore, may Allāh جل جلاله protect us.
This world is the world of opportunities. They say opportunities too. But their opportunities are for personal and worldly benefit. Real opportunities are for the benefits of ākhirah. May Allāh جل جلاله give all of us those beautiful opportunities.
May He جل جلاله not let us obey our egos.
Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq. Al-Fatiha.

BE STRAIGHT

Ṭarīqatunā aṣ-Suḥbah wa l-Khayru fi l-Jam‘iyyah.
BismiLlahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim:
فَٱسْتَقِمْ كَمَآ أُمِرْتَ وَمَن تَابَ مَعَكَ
(Qur’ān 11:112).
‘‘Fa-staqim kamā umirta wa-man tāba ma‘ak’’
‘’So remain on a right course as you have been commanded, [you] and those who have turned back with you [to Allah ].’’
It is the order of Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla to our Holy Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam. This order is a big order. Our Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم says, “This sūrah [Hud] turned my beard into white.” The holy beard of our Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم was completely black. But then he had very little white hair in his beard. And that came from the greatness of this sūrah. Because going straight is a difficult thing. But believers and people who love our Holy Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam must follow him صلى الله عليه وسلم and keep on a straight direction.
Lying and cheating are not from straightness. They are the opposite of straightness. People who do so are people who obey their egos and have weak will power. Both their will power and mind must be weak, because things outside the straight direction don’t bring any benefit. People think, “I have to be alert. I have to do this and that. I have to cheat people in order to earn.” What they will earn is a sin and regret.
Because lying and cheating never bring any benefit. Going straight brings benefit. Even if difficult, its result is good. It is the best. Nothing is better.
But people choose to solve things by themselves. They forget Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla. They forget goodness. They think that only they are good and strive to do something. As long as Allāh جل جلاله doesn't want it, they can be as good as they want, they can think they are very clever, they will lose everything with just one thing.
As we said, this is a lesson for people. Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla ordered something that is 100% beneficial for humanity. Doing the opposite of it brings loss both to them and to everything. Therefore, be straight.
Be with people who are going straight.
Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq. Al-Fatiha.

HOPE FOR GOOD THINGS

Ṭarīqatunā aṣ-Suḥbah wa l-Khayru fi l-Jam‘iyyah.
”طُو ُل الأَ َمل“
“Ṭūlu l-amal”, “Incessant hope” says our Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم
Oftentimes the hopes of people prevent them from doing what they have to do. Therefore, many people hope too much to do this and that in the future and cannot do most of the time. So Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla says to hurry to do good things, while the rest delay by saying, “I will do later or some other time. I will do in the future.” It is unclear if you will reach that or not.
Our Holy Prophet ṣalla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam showed it. He صلى الله عليه وسلم drew three lines on the ground. One goes ahead and the rest behind it. He صلى الله عليه وسلم said, “This going line is the line of death. Those behind it are hope.” Hope is always behind.
Yet, Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla created it for people to comfort themselves. It has benefit, and it has harm. Therefore, people must use it right. There is an Arab saying:
“مَا أَضْيَقَ العَيْشَ لَوْلاَ فُسْحَةُ الأَمَلِ”
“How tightly constricting life would be, if it were not for the broad horizons of hope!” This life is so difficult that without hope and dreams, it is too restrained; people feel imprisoned. But with hope, all worlds belong to them.
This is as such regarding everything. Worldly matters are so too. We have this worldly game of elections everywhere here now. There are many people who won't get even two votes but feel as if they are going to be elected as a president. They hope for it. They comfort themselves.
These things - as we said, sometimes many people waste their time and money when they are after their hopes. But when they are on the way of Allāh جل جلاله you can hope for everything from Allāh جل جلاله. Every goodness, every Barakah, everything is given by Allāh جل جلاله. Allāh جل جلاله gives with His جل جلاله permission to whomever He جل جلاله wants. Their hope is not useless. If not here, they will be pleased hereafter.
But people who follow dunyā, who only think about it and hope for that, they will have a hard time. May Allāh جل جلاله protect all of us. May we hope for good things insha’Allah.
May we be on the way of Allāh جل جلاله
Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq. Al-Fatiha.
