hought it is nothing moving. Everything moving. Especially time and thing, they are not same. Nothing same from one second to second second, not same. It is different. For this, the important thing here – to be awake for this. Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla make us... every time warning us about this.
Be awake. You are not here for to enjoy yourself, to looking only for time how it's going. Special this, last days people, more and more, they have everything and they're only thinking to enjoy themself. Only aim for themself to be happy, to enjoy themselves, to be get more and more enjoy, they thought. But, you can enjoy yourself, you can do good thing. What you do for... Don't forget Allāh جل جلاله. This is important. Different between people who... Most of people they forget their Lord Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla, their Creator and just running after enjoy themself and nothing else. And they making everything to enjoy themself. Very bad, very ugly, very terrible thing they are doing to enjoy themself. But this is no benefit because this days, it will go, and you will go, and they, after you coming another people. They're not for this, for you, forever.
Forever, only who be with Allāh جل جلاله even when he is happy to enjoy themself to do what Allāh جل جلاله happy with this. Eating, drinking, go and come, but don't forget your Creator, your Lord جل جلاله Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla. This is very important. When you do this, you reward and you will be forever happy. But other, they only trying to be happy here but, quickly days running, coming for other people's turn. It is the turn coming from one to one, so, it will be.
We see many people, especially, they thought they said who make in seventies or sixties, they was make revolution with, like, for student revolution or other, hippie or other thing. This people, especial this, they are but they are... just, we give example for this. They thought still, they're living in that time. Even their clothes or their type of dressing, shaving, like this – they thought it is still there in that time. But this, many sixty year, fifty year going after you and you still there. No, don't be like this. Wake up and catch the time, which it is very valuable, very important. Allāh جل جلاله make us to...
We are happy, al-ḥamdu liLlāh. We are coming here, going there, with good people, and we good place, al-ḥamdu liLlāh. This is important to be happy with this. Allāh جل جلاله make us to all time, everywhere we go, with people they are gathering for sake of Allāh جل جلاله, for love of Allāh جل جلاله . We are, when this gathering happening, this giving our soul happiness. Giving light, giving nūr, in shā’a Llāh. Giving more īmān, in shā’a Llāh. Allāh جل جلاله make it for whole life, in shā’a Llāh, forever. Because we thanking Allāh جل جلاله for this.
Because when you thank Allāh جل جلاله, Allāh جل جلاله give you more . "La-’in shakartum la-azīdannakum" (14:7). Allāh جل جلاله , shukran liLlāh

THE SECRET OF SUCCESS

As-Salāmu ‘Alaykum wa RaḥmatuLlāhi wa Barakātuh.

Ṭarīqatunā aṣ-Suḥbah wa l-Khayru fi l-Jam‘iyyah.
Years ago, students who studied in Cyprus came to Mawlana Shaykh Nazim. One of them asked, “We have rich people in our country. How do we become like them?” His studies were not good. Mawlana replied, “The secret of it is persistence. When you do something, don’t leave it incomplete. Complete it and stand by it”. When there is persistence, your work will go well.
Persistence means discipline. Discipline is necessary for everything, both in the work of Dunya and the work of Akhirah. Discipline means controlling your ego, not following your ego but making your ego follow you. When you want to do something, say you will do it from this time until that time. And then do something else. Persistence and discipline is performing worship and doing everything, a little or a lot, however you do it, without a delay everyday. It is to capture your ego and to control your ego. This is it.
May the station of Mawlana Shaykh Nazim be high. What he told to all people in whatever they do, this is the secret of success for them. Of course, the most important success is the success of Akhirah. Many people underestimate it. They don’t control their egos but their egos control them. They take it whenever they want. They bring it whenever they want. They do whatever they want. But when there is persistence and discipline, people will certainly have great benefits. Without it, there will be incomplete things.
The condition of people nowadays is there is no discipline anymore. There is no Adab anymore, there is no respect anymore. Therefore, they cannot be successful. They are upset and stressed. And they make up various strange names for it. The biggest reason for it is the reason we said. There is no discipline. There is no seriousness. And then they ask for easiness. It is not always easy. When it is easy, people get used to it and it has no benefit.
May Allah جل جلاله give strength to all of us. As we said, Mawlana Shaykh Nazim is telling us with just one word - persistence, discipline. May his station be high. May Allah جل جلاله give strength to us all so that we do it. It seems like easy, but it is not so actually. May Allah give guidance to all of us.

WHO IS THE HYPOCRITE?

Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm:
إِذَا جَآءَكَ ٱلْمُنَـٰفِقُونَ
(Qur’ān 63:01). ‘’Idha ja’aka l-munafiqoon’, ‘When the hypocrites come to you.’ Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla tells about hypocrites to our Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم. In old times, there were no hypocrites in Makkah, because the condition of our Holy Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa- sallam was tough. When he صلى الله عليه وسلم came to Madinah, everyone became Muslim. And those who didn’t accept Islam pretended to be Muslims, and the group of hypocrites came out.
We are living in the end of times now. In order to get benefit from the religion and in order to cheat people - They are Muslims, it is right. But the quality of hypocrites has spread. May Allah جل جلاله protect us. People must pay attention to that.
Who is the hypocrite? He is not what he says he is. Our Holy Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam says there are three signs of a hypocrite. He lies when he speaks. If you rely on him, he will hit you in the back. And if he promises something, he doesn’t keep his promise. This is something that most of people have nowadays.
If you look at the appearance of someone, it will not cross your mind that this man can do something like this. Whereas, unfortunately, this time we are living in everything is done for leadership, for Dunya, for money, for all kinds of things. When people do so, they become hypocrites. Of course, who pray are not like other hypocrites. But as they go on their way, they are not counted as good people. Our Holy Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa- sallam says that Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla said that hypocrites will go to the lowest level of hell.
Therefore, it is not permissible for us to do like what they are doing. This man has done this much. You look and see people you would never think of do various strange things. If they are doing, you mustn’t do. Their way is not good. The good way is the way of our Holy Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam. You can trust everything on him صلى الله عليه وسلم.You can believe him .صلى الله عليه وسلم. You can rely on him .صلى الله عليه وسلم .
To do this is not difficult. It is difficult for weak people. It is difficult for people who immediately choose lying. But for a true normal person, it is not difficult. Because it is more difficult for a normal person to do the other thing. He won’t do it for not to be ashamed and embarrassed. He neither lies, nor breaks his promise. He promises what he can do, and doesn’t give his word for something he cannot do. They say they will give you the whole world, but then there is nothing.
May Allah جل جلاله give guidance, mind and understanding to all of us. These things are wrong things. They are bad things. May Allah جل جلاله protect us insha’Allah. It is the evil of the ego. It is the disease of the ego. The ego embarrasses and devastates people.
May Allah protect us.

EVERYONE CREATED WITH JEWEL INSIDE
Ṣuḥbah of the 13th of October 2022.
As-Salāmu ‘alaykum wa-raḥmatu Llāhi wa-barakātuh.
A‘ūdhu bi-Llāhi mina sh-shayṭāni r-rajīm. Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm.
Aṣ-ṣalātu wa-s- Salāmu ‘alá Rasūlinā Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-awwalīna wa-l-ākhirīn. Madad yā Rasūla Llāh, madad yā Sādātī Aṣḥābi Rasūli Llāh, madad yā Mashāyikhanā, dastūr Mawlānā Shaykh ‘Abdu Llāh al-Fā’iz ad-Dāghistānī, Shaykh Muḥammad Nāẓim al-Ḥaqqānī. Madad.
Ṭarīqatuna ṣ-ṣuḥbah, wa-l-khayru fi l-jam’iyyah.
Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm. "Fa-bi-dhālika fa-l-yafraḥū huwa khayrun mimmā yajma‘ūn" (10:58). How do people find happiness and joy? People nowadays are looking for happiness. They say, "I am unhappy. How can I become happy?" Everyone keeps thinking about it. They go to doctors, they go to hospitals and ask this and that. People should not be happy because of others. They should be happy because of Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla and because of what they do.
How do people become happy? They become happy when they do something good, when they carry out an order of Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla, when they make ṣalawāt to our Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم Happiness comes with these things, not with other things. Sometimes they say, "Take this pill. It will make you happy." You take it but it is not enough. You take two or three more, and then you become addicted to pills. Moreover, you may become addicted to even worse things later. And then you won't be happy. Especially when you continue to look for happiness, you will drown more, you will have more sadness. And sometimes their ending is so bad that they commit suicide. Because they can't find happiness, they just leave.
Whereas Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla has given jewels to people. The jewel inside you is a valuable jewel. If you discover this and get to know it, if you appreciate it, certainly you won't end up in such a condition and sadness. But people don't do this. Instead, they listen to what others say – "This and that will be good for you." They listen to this one and that one, and they don't do what is right. You need to work on the jewel inside you and not outside. You should work on the jewel inside you and do your best for it to help you. It can't happen otherwise. It can't happen through friends. You must be with good people. You must be with people on the way of Allāh جل جلاله. When you are with people beloved by Allāh جل جلاله, it brings happiness. Otherwise, being with things or people, or whatever bad things that Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla doesn't like, in order to be happy, won't bring any happiness.
As we said, when saying, "It is not enough," so getting more and more, people will get much worse. May Allāh جل جلاله protect us. This is from the troubles of the current days. People of old times didn't have so many problems. All their problems had to do with work at home and work outside. They used to get tired physically and then they forgot everything else. But nowadays, because of free time and laziness, and as there is more comfort – because of this comfort, it is more difficult for people. People ask for more. They think, "We are in comfort, we've got everything. Why are we unhappy?" However, if they paid attention to their work, they would forget about it, they would forget about the problems. They will make shukr to Allāh جل جلاله and get by. You must make more shukr now, because everything is more comfortable and easier.
But as we said, people have forgotten about Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla. They have mixed up the good. They think bad is good and good is bad. Therefore, there are these conditions in the world. May Allāh جل جلاله help us. May Allāh جل جلاله protect us. The situation is very tough. May Allāh جل جلاله help us. If they listen to this advice, they will be at ease. If they don't listen, they will suffer . They can run to this one and that one. As we said, you must discover the jewel inside you. Then you won't need anything else, by permission of Allāh جل جلاله
Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla saying: Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm. "Fa-bi-dhālika fa-l-yafraḥū huwa khayrun mimmā yajma‘ūn" (10:58). To be happy – what He جل جلاله said, Allāh ‘Azza wa- Jalla, in Qur’ān – "Be happy with favour of Allāh جل جلاله. This is better than what they collect" – what they are looking for they thought it is good thing. Because, our nowadays people, most of them, they are depressed, they are unhappy. They are not feeling well and they are looking for how to be happy. How to be... in good mood. But, they are looking this in wrong place. Because, this people, they are running to doctors, to psychology, other thing, and this people, they said, "Yes, you are depressed. Take this pill, you will be better." Going to other – "You must make come for me more to we speak together and you pay me money for each hour and you will be happy." This is what they thought it is good for them. It is not good.
Allāh جل جلاله create everybody with good thing, but people, they are not looking for this good thing. Because, what you need, you have it in your [in]side. Allāh جل جلاله create jewel in your, in everyone, in every human. They are all jewel. But people, they not knowing this jewel, value of this jewel, and they are looking outside to be happy from with drug, with medicine, with other thing. But this is not solution. Solution, to be happy with yourself, with Allāh ‘Azza wa- Jalla. To be happy with yourself – "alā bi-dhikri Llāhi taṭma’innu l-qulūb" (13:28) – to satisfaction [comes] with mentioning of Allāh جل جلاله, mentioning Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa- sallam. This is giving you happiness, giving you satisfaction. But other, no, it is not.
But now, even Muslim, they are also most of them not happy because they are looking for other people, imitate other people and they want more and more and more. But with this more, happiness not coming with more thing. Coming only from inside, not from outside. Outside what you give, it is not cure your inside, only cover and this cover quickly finish. For this, you must be looking for to do what Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla order you, with this you be save yourself and you'll be happy – to be good people, good man, good woman. But other thing, they make people unhappy, the most of people unhappy.
Because also, old time people, they said they was more happy. This time people also they are very lazy, not doing anything. Old time people, they was working, woman or man. Woman working in house, cooking, making, sewing or other thing. Man work from morning to evening and bring thing for his house. For this, they was tired, no time to be depressed, no time to be unhappy. They are happy when they are bring something, they are happy and they are thanking their Lord, Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla. But nowadays, Allāh جل جلاله give us everything but people, they don't have, only they don't have happiness. This happiness, with money you cannot buy. This is proof for our days because we are very, very relaxed, very comfort – this time people. Old time people, no car – nothing. Walking, coming, going, carrying thing by their hand. But there was better than our days. They was thanking Allāh جل جلاله
But nowadays, we have everything, but people still not happy. For when they are not happy with this, Allāh جل جلاله also... Not thanking Allāh جل جلاله. Allāh جل جلاله without thank, He جل جلاله not give happiness. We must be thank for Allāh جل جلاله, what He جل جلاله give us, not to be saying complaining. Everything He جل جلاله gave us, we must be very happy. As Mawlānā Shaykh was, every time he was, many time we hear this story.
One man in Damascus, he said, when I was going to this market, bazaar, one man, he put something to sell second-hand. This maybe not second-hand – tenth- or twentieth-hand. Very old nail, lock, and other thing like old spoon or other thing. When, if you look for this maybe you can, you cannot pay five penny for this. Mawlānā was asking him, "How is business today?" He said, "Ooh," kissing his hand, put on his head, saying: "Al-ḥamdu liLlāh, very good, very good. I am very happy." And this man, people he satisfied, and he is happy with what Allāh جل جلاله give him. He thank Allāh جل جلاله, Allāh جل جلاله give him happiness. But our days’ people, what you give them, they are not happy. They want more and more and more. But, you cannot take... but they cannot take happiness.
So, we must be thankful for Allāh جل جلاله for every breath He جل جلاله gave us. For every second we are in this life, because this life it is precious for us for other life. Allāh جل جلاله help us, Allāh جل جلاله make us to be happy with Him جل جلاله, with His جل جلاله favour. With the biggest favour to be nation of Prophet Muḥammad ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam.

THREE KINDS OF PEOPLE
Ṣuḥbah of the 12th of October, 2022.
As-Salāmu ‘alaykum wa-raḥmatu Llāhi wa-barakātuh.
A‘ūdhu bi-Llāhi mina sh-shayṭāni r-rajīm. Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm.
Aṣ-ṣalātu wa-s-Salāmu ‘alá Rasūlinā Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-awwalīna wa-l-ākhirīn. Madad yā Rasūla Llāh, madad yā Sādātī Aṣḥābi Rasūli Llāh, madad yā Mashāyikhanā, dastūr Mawlānā Shaykh ‘Abdu Llāh al-Fā’iz ad-Dāghistānī, Shaykh Muḥammad Nāẓim al-Ḥaqqānī. Madad.
Ṭarīqatuna ṣ-ṣuḥbah, wa-l-khayru fi l-jam’iyyah.
Often the khuṭbah (sermon) of Jum‘ah starts with, “ ‘Ibādu Llāh ittaqu Llāh ūṣīkum ,wa-iyyāya bi-taqwá Llāh.” “O people, O community of believers, be afraid of Allāh .جل جلاله respect and love Allāh جل جلاله. I give this advice to you and to my own ego. We are preaching this.” The khuṭbah starts like this. So not only the listeners, but also the one who speaks gets benefit from ṣuḥbah (association), khuṭbah and advice.
There are three kinds of people, says our Holy Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam. One kind is someone who knows, learns and speaks. He does what he says, and he tells people what he knows. Another kind is someone who tells what he knows but doesn't do it. And then there is the kind which only listens. And that is the jamā‘ah (congregation). The worst of these is the one who tells but doesn't do it, says our Holy Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam.
Therefore, when there is ṣuḥbah or advice, the one who gives it must apply it too. It is not only about speaking. And afterwards, giving advice and speaking of things that Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla and our Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم want, will lead Muslims to do them. They will do as much as they can. Because people cannot do it all, attending that gathering brings them barakah and a great reward. As long as good things are told, as long as knowledge is shared, it is wrong to think, “Should we say this? Will this man be upset, angry or disappointed?” You must tell what you know as true. Who accepts will accept it. Who won't, won't; and they know it. But if you are scared to say something to people, you won't be able to say a thing, because you can't make everyone happy. Who are happy, fine. Who are not, it's up to them.
But your duty is to speak the truth, to give advice to people. It is the order of Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla and our Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم. The duty of hodjas, scholars, and shaykhs is to give advice, because, “Ad-dīnu n-naṣīḥah,” (religion is advice). Their duty is to make ṣuḥbah and to show people the way. What would be the benefit if they don't do so? It would be useless. We must say what is true.
And people who don't like it must think about it. Some people nowadays object to it directly and don't like it, saying, “It is not true. I don't think so.” Well, your opinion is not reliable. You must look into what you don't like. Is it coming from your ego? If not, is there a mistake in the advice? You must look into it. If it comes from your ego, you must improve it.
Otherwise, you won't get any benefit from it. And instead of attaining a reward, it will be like a sin for you. Because who doesn't accept the advice will regret it. Advice is for Allāh جل جلاله, for the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم and for the believers.
Therefore, all of these talks and advice are the gatherings of knowledge. These are the gatherings loved by Allāh جل جلاله. Certainly, not here, but some people listen to someone and object. Whereas there is nothing to object to. It is ṣuḥbah for the good of the people. We are speaking so that people benefit from it. May Allāh جل جلاله make us from those who listen and benefit from it. It may have been Sayyidunā ‘Umar who said, “Isma‘ū wa‘ū, wa-idha wa-‘aytum fantafi‘ū.” “Listen and understand. When you understand, use it.” May all ṣuḥbah be useful to all of us, in shā’a Llāh.
In khuṭbah of Jum‘ah, many times they said, “ ‘Ibādu Llāh ittaqu Llāh ūṣīkum wa-iyyāya bi-taqwá Llāh,” saying, “Oh servant of Allāh جل جلاله, be aware, be afraid from Allāh جل جلاله. I am advise you first to, and myself, to be afraid from Allāh جل جلاله.” This is very important thing to say, not only for who are listening. Who speak, he said, “I am also, I make myself to be accept this, to be afraid from Allāh جل جلاله, not to do bad thing.” This is what all khuṭbah of Jum‘ah, many place, they saying this to make people listen. Only for who listening? No. First, what we make ṣuḥbah, make speech, for Allāh جل جلاله – this making to benefit people and to benefit ourself. Not only for people. Because, many people they thought, only they make advice for [other] people.
This what Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam saying: “There are three kinds of people. Some of them they have knowledge, and speak and they have, also they accept and doing what they speak. Another kind of people, they have knowledge, they have very big knowledge, but only making speech, advise people to do this, to do that, but they are not doing. And, there is people, only for listening. They don't know, they coming to listening. And this first and third one is good. But, second one who only speak and not doing, this is not good.
For this, we are saying for ourself to be benefit from what we speak. This is very important. This, for sake of Allāh جل جلاله, we doing this. And people must be benefit from knowledge of Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla and Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam. Many people, they are maybe not happy with some speech, but we are not looking for who will be happy, who will be not happy. What we know is right, we must tell people about this, to make people to benefit from this. So, people who don't know and quickly they don't happy with this, don't like this.

We are happy, al-ḥamdu liLlāh. We are coming here, going there, with good people, and we good place, al-ḥamdu liLlāh. This is important to be happy with this. Allāh جل جلاله make us to all time, everywhere we go, with people they are gathering for sake of Allāh جل جلاله, for love of Allāh جل جلاله . We are, when this gathering happening, this giving our soul happiness. Giving light, giving nūr, in shā’a Llāh. Giving more īmān, in shā’a Llāh. Allāh جل جلاله make it for whole life, in shā’a Llāh, forever. Because we thanking Allāh جل جلاله for this.
Because when you thank Allāh جل جلاله, Allāh جل جلاله give you more . "La-’in shakartum la-azīdannakum" (14:7). Allāh جل جلاله , shukran liLlāh

THE SECRET OF SUCCESS

Ṭarīqatunā aṣ-Suḥbah wa l-Khayru fi l-Jam‘iyyah.
Years ago, students who studied in Cyprus came to Mawlana Shaykh Nazim. One of them asked, “We have rich people in our country. How do we become like them?” His studies were not good. Mawlana replied, “The secret of it is persistence. When you do something, don’t leave it incomplete. Complete it and stand by it”. When there is persistence, your work will go well.
Persistence means discipline. Discipline is necessary for everything, both in the work of Dunya and the work of Akhirah. Discipline means controlling your ego, not following your ego but making your ego follow you. When you want to do something, say you will do it from this time until that time. And then do something else. Persistence and discipline is performing worship and doing everything, a little or a lot, however you do it, without a delay everyday. It is to capture your ego and to control your ego. This is it.
May the station of Mawlana Shaykh Nazim be high. What he told to all people in whatever they do, this is the secret of success for them. Of course, the most important success is the success of Akhirah. Many people underestimate it. They don’t control their egos but their egos control them. They take it whenever they want. They bring it whenever they want. They do whatever they want. But when there is persistence and discipline, people will certainly have great benefits. Without it, there will be incomplete things.
The condition of people nowadays is there is no discipline anymore. There is no Adab anymore, there is no respect anymore. Therefore, they cannot be successful. They are upset and stressed. And they make up various strange names for it. The biggest reason for it is the reason we said. There is no discipline. There is no seriousness. And then they ask for easiness. It is not always easy. When it is easy, people get used to it and it has no benefit.
May Allah جل جلاله give strength to all of us. As we said, Mawlana Shaykh Nazim is telling us with just one word - persistence, discipline. May his station be high. May Allah جل جلاله give strength to us all so that we do it. It seems like easy, but it is not so actually. May Allah give guidance to all of us.

WHO IS THE HYPOCRITE?

Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm:
إِذَا جَآءَكَ ٱلْمُنَـٰفِقُونَ
(Qur’ān 63:01). ‘’Idha ja’aka l-munafiqoon’, ‘When the hypocrites come to you.’ Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla tells about hypocrites to our Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم. In old times, there were no hypocrites in Makkah, because the condition of our Holy Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa- sallam was tough. When he صلى الله عليه وسلم came to Madinah, everyone became Muslim. And those who didn’t accept Islam pretended to be Muslims, and the group of hypocrites came out.
We are living in the end of times now. In order to get benefit from the religion and in order to cheat people - They are Muslims, it is right. But the quality of hypocrites has spread. May Allah جل جلاله protect us. People must pay attention to that.
Who is the hypocrite? He is not what he says he is. Our Holy Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam says there are three signs of a hypocrite. He lies when he speaks. If you rely on him, he will hit you in the back. And if he promises something, he doesn’t keep his promise. This is something that most of people have nowadays.
If you look at the appearance of someone, it will not cross your mind that this man can do something like this. Whereas, unfortunately, this time we are living in everything is done for leadership, for Dunya, for money, for all kinds of things. When people do so, they become hypocrites. Of course, who pray are not like other hypocrites. But as they go on their way, they are not counted as good people. Our Holy Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa- sallam says that Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla said that hypocrites will go to the lowest level of hell.
Therefore, it is not permissible for us to do like what they are doing. This man has done this much. You look and see people you would never think of do various strange things. If they are doing, you mustn’t do. Their way is not good. The good way is the way of our Holy Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam. You can trust everything on him صلى الله عليه وسلم.You can believe him .صلى الله عليه وسلم. You can rely on him .صلى الله عليه وسلم .
To do this is not difficult. It is difficult for weak people. It is difficult for people who immediately choose lying. But for a true normal person, it is not difficult. Because it is more difficult for a normal person to do the other thing. He won’t do it for not to be ashamed and embarrassed. He neither lies, nor breaks his promise. He promises what he can do, and doesn’t give his word for something he cannot do. They say they will give you the whole world, but then there is nothing.
May Allah جل جلاله give guidance, mind and understanding to all of us. These things are wrong things. They are bad things. May Allah جل جلاله protect us insha’Allah. It is the evil of the ego. It is the disease of the ego. The ego embarrasses and devastates people.

EVERYONE CREATED WITH JEWEL INSIDE
Ṣuḥbah of the 13th of October 2022.
As-Salāmu ‘alaykum wa-raḥmatu Llāhi wa-barakātuh.

Aṣ-ṣalātu wa-s- Salāmu ‘alá Rasūlinā Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-awwalīna wa-l-ākhirīn. Madad yā Rasūla Llāh, madad yā Sādātī Aṣḥābi Rasūli Llāh, madad yā Mashāyikhanā, dastūr Mawlānā Shaykh ‘Abdu Llāh al-Fā’iz ad-Dāghistānī, Shaykh Muḥammad Nāẓim al-Ḥaqqānī. Madad.
Ṭarīqatuna ṣ-ṣuḥbah, wa-l-khayru fi l-jam’iyyah.
Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm. "Fa-bi-dhālika fa-l-yafraḥū huwa khayrun mimmā yajma‘ūn" (10:58). How do people find happiness and joy? People nowadays are looking for happiness. They say, "I am unhappy. How can I become happy?" Everyone keeps thinking about it. They go to doctors, they go to hospitals and ask this and that. People should not be happy because of others. They should be happy because of Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla and because of what they do.
How do people become happy? They become happy when they do something good, when they carry out an order of Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla, when they make ṣalawāt to our Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم Happiness comes with these things, not with other things. Sometimes they say, "Take this pill. It will make you happy." You take it but it is not enough. You take two or three more, and then you become addicted to pills. Moreover, you may become addicted to even worse things later. And then you won't be happy. Especially when you continue to look for happiness, you will drown more, you will have more sadness. And sometimes their ending is so bad that they commit suicide. Because they can't find happiness, they just leave.
Whereas Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla has given jewels to people. The jewel inside you is a valuable jewel. If you discover this and get to know it, if you appreciate it, certainly you won't end up in such a condition and sadness. But people don't do this. Instead, they listen to what others say – "This and that will be good for you." They listen to this one and that one, and they don't do what is right. You need to work on the jewel inside you and not outside. You should work on the jewel inside you and do your best for it to help you. It can't happen otherwise. It can't happen through friends. You must be with good people. You must be with people on the way of Allāh جل جلاله. When you are with people beloved by Allāh جل جلاله, it brings happiness. Otherwise, being with things or people, or whatever bad things that Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla doesn't like, in order to be happy, won't bring any happiness.
As we said, when saying, "It is not enough," so getting more and more, people will get much worse. May Allāh جل جلاله protect us. This is from the troubles of the current days. People of old times didn't have so many problems. All their problems had to do with work at home and work outside. They used to get tired physically and then they forgot everything else. But nowadays, because of free time and laziness, and as there is more comfort – because of this comfort, it is more difficult for people. People ask for more. They think, "We are in comfort, we've got everything. Why are we unhappy?" However, if they paid attention to their work, they would forget about it, they would forget about the problems. They will make shukr to Allāh جل جلاله and get by. You must make more shukr now, because everything is more comfortable and easier.
But as we said, people have forgotten about Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla. They have mixed up the good. They think bad is good and good is bad. Therefore, there are these conditions in the world. May Allāh جل جلاله help us. May Allāh جل جلاله protect us. The situation is very tough. May Allāh جل جلاله help us. If they listen to this advice, they will be at ease. If they don't listen, they will suffer . They can run to this one and that one. As we said, you must discover the jewel inside you. Then you won't need anything else, by permission of Allāh جل جلاله
Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla saying: Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm. "Fa-bi-dhālika fa-l-yafraḥū huwa khayrun mimmā yajma‘ūn" (10:58). To be happy – what He جل جلاله said, Allāh ‘Azza wa- Jalla, in Qur’ān – "Be happy with favour of Allāh جل جلاله. This is better than what they collect" – what they are looking for they thought it is good thing. Because, our nowadays people, most of them, they are depressed, they are unhappy. They are not feeling well and they are looking for how to be happy. How to be... in good mood. But, they are looking this in wrong place. Because, this people, they are running to doctors, to psychology, other thing, and this people, they said, "Yes, you are depressed. Take this pill, you will be better." Going to other – "You must make come for me more to we speak together and you pay me money for each hour and you will be happy." This is what they thought it is good for them. It is not good.
Allāh جل جلاله create everybody with good thing, but people, they are not looking for this good thing. Because, what you need, you have it in your [in]side. Allāh جل جلاله create jewel in your, in everyone, in every human. They are all jewel. But people, they not knowing this jewel, value of this jewel, and they are looking outside to be happy from with drug, with medicine, with other thing. But this is not solution. Solution, to be happy with yourself, with Allāh ‘Azza wa- Jalla. To be happy with yourself – "alā bi-dhikri Llāhi taṭma’innu l-qulūb" (13:28) – to satisfaction [comes] with mentioning of Allāh جل جلاله, mentioning Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa- sallam. This is giving you happiness, giving you satisfaction. But other, no, it is not.
But now, even Muslim, they are also most of them not happy because they are looking for other people, imitate other people and they want more and more and more. But with this more, happiness not coming with more thing. Coming only from inside, not from outside. Outside what you give, it is not cure your inside, only cover and this cover quickly finish. For this, you must be looking for to do what Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla order you, with this you be save yourself and you'll be happy – to be good people, good man, good woman. But other thing, they make people unhappy, the most of people unhappy.
Because also, old time people, they said they was more happy. This time people also they are very lazy, not doing anything. Old time people, they was working, woman or man. Woman working in house, cooking, making, sewing or other thing. Man work from morning to evening and bring thing for his house. For this, they was tired, no time to be depressed, no time to be unhappy. They are happy when they are bring something, they are happy and they are thanking their Lord, Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla. But nowadays, Allāh جل جلاله give us everything but people, they don't have, only they don't have happiness. This happiness, with money you cannot buy. This is proof for our days because we are very, very relaxed, very comfort – this time people. Old time people, no car – nothing. Walking, coming, going, carrying thing by their hand. But there was better than our days. They was thanking Allāh جل جلاله
But nowadays, we have everything, but people still not happy. For when they are not happy with this, Allāh جل جلاله also... Not thanking Allāh جل جلاله. Allāh جل جلاله without thank, He جل جلاله not give happiness. We must be thank for Allāh جل جلاله, what He جل جلاله give us, not to be saying complaining. Everything He جل جلاله gave us, we must be very happy. As Mawlānā Shaykh was, every time he was, many time we hear this story.
One man in Damascus, he said, when I was going to this market, bazaar, one man, he put something to sell second-hand. This maybe not second-hand – tenth- or twentieth-hand. Very old nail, lock, and other thing like old spoon or other thing. When, if you look for this maybe you can, you cannot pay five penny for this. Mawlānā was asking him, "How is business today?" He said, "Ooh," kissing his hand, put on his head, saying: "Al-ḥamdu liLlāh, very good, very good. I am very happy." And this man, people he satisfied, and he is happy with what Allāh جل جلاله give him. He thank Allāh جل جلاله, Allāh جل جلاله give him happiness. But our days’ people, what you give them, they are not happy. They want more and more and more. But, you cannot take... but they cannot take happiness.
So, we must be thankful for Allāh جل جلاله for every breath He جل جلاله gave us. For every second we are in this life, because this life it is precious for us for other life. Allāh جل جلاله help us, Allāh جل جلاله make us to be happy with Him جل جلاله, with His جل جلاله favour. With the biggest favour to be nation of Prophet Muḥammad ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam.

THREE KINDS OF PEOPLE
Ṣuḥbah of the 12th of October, 2022.
As-Salāmu ‘alaykum wa-raḥmatu Llāhi wa-barakātuh.
A‘ūdhu bi-Llāhi mina sh-shayṭāni r-rajīm. Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm.
Aṣ-ṣalātu wa-s-Salāmu ‘alá Rasūlinā Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-awwalīna wa-l-ākhirīn. Madad yā Rasūla Llāh, madad yā Sādātī Aṣḥābi Rasūli Llāh, madad yā Mashāyikhanā, dastūr Mawlānā Shaykh ‘Abdu Llāh al-Fā’iz ad-Dāghistānī, Shaykh Muḥammad Nāẓim al-Ḥaqqānī. Madad.
Ṭarīqatuna ṣ-ṣuḥbah, wa-l-khayru fi l-jam’iyyah.
Often the khuṭbah (sermon) of Jum‘ah starts with, “ ‘Ibādu Llāh ittaqu Llāh ūṣīkum ,wa-iyyāya bi-taqwá Llāh.” “O people, O community of believers, be afraid of Allāh .جل جلاله respect and love Allāh جل جلاله. I give this advice to you and to my own ego. We are preaching this.” The khuṭbah starts like this. So not only the listeners, but also the one who speaks gets benefit from ṣuḥbah (association), khuṭbah and advice.
There are three kinds of people, says our Holy Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam. One kind is someone who knows, learns and speaks. He does what he says, and he tells people what he knows. Another kind is someone who tells what he knows but doesn't do it. And then there is the kind which only listens. And that is the jamā‘ah (congregation). The worst of these is the one who tells but doesn't do it, says our Holy Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam.
Therefore, when there is ṣuḥbah or advice, the one who gives it must apply it too. It is not only about speaking. And afterwards, giving advice and speaking of things that Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla and our Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم want, will lead Muslims to do them. They will do as much as they can. Because people cannot do it all, attending that gathering brings them barakah and a great reward. As long as good things are told, as long as knowledge is shared, it is wrong to think, “Should we say this? Will this man be upset, angry or disappointed?” You must tell what you know as true. Who accepts will accept it. Who won't, won't; and they know it. But if you are scared to say something to people, you won't be able to say a thing, because you can't make everyone happy. Who are happy, fine. Who are not, it's up to them.
But your duty is to speak the truth, to give advice to people. It is the order of Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla and our Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم. The duty of hodjas, scholars, and shaykhs is to give advice, because, “Ad-dīnu n-naṣīḥah,” (religion is advice). Their duty is to make ṣuḥbah and to show people the way. What would be the benefit if they don't do so? It would be useless. We must say what is true.
And people who don't like it must think about it. Some people nowadays object to it directly and don't like it, saying, “It is not true. I don't think so.” Well, your opinion is not reliable. You must look into what you don't like. Is it coming from your ego? If not, is there a mistake in the advice? You must look into it. If it comes from your ego, you must improve it.
Otherwise, you won't get any benefit from it. And instead of attaining a reward, it will be like a sin for you. Because who doesn't accept the advice will regret it. Advice is for Allāh جل جلاله, for the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم and for the believers.
Therefore, all of these talks and advice are the gatherings of knowledge. These are the gatherings loved by Allāh جل جلاله. Certainly, not here, but some people listen to someone and object. Whereas there is nothing to object to. It is ṣuḥbah for the good of the people. We are speaking so that people benefit from it. May Allāh جل جلاله make us from those who listen and benefit from it. It may have been Sayyidunā ‘Umar who said, “Isma‘ū wa‘ū, wa-idha wa-‘aytum fantafi‘ū.” “Listen and understand. When you understand, use it.” May all ṣuḥbah be useful to all of us, in shā’a Llāh.
In khuṭbah of Jum‘ah, many times they said, “ ‘Ibādu Llāh ittaqu Llāh ūṣīkum wa-iyyāya bi-taqwá Llāh,” saying, “Oh servant of Allāh جل جلاله, be aware, be afraid from Allāh جل جلاله. I am advise you first to, and myself, to be afraid from Allāh جل جلاله.” This is very important thing to say, not only for who are listening. Who speak, he said, “I am also, I make myself to be accept this, to be afraid from Allāh جل جلاله, not to do bad thing.” This is what all khuṭbah of Jum‘ah, many place, they saying this to make people listen. Only for who listening? No. First, what we make ṣuḥbah, make speech, for Allāh جل جلاله – this making to benefit people and to benefit ourself. Not only for people. Because, many people they thought, only they make advice for [other] people.
This what Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam saying: “There are three kinds of people. Some of them they have knowledge, and speak and they have, also they accept and doing what they speak. Another kind of people, they have knowledge, they have very big knowledge, but only making speech, advise people to do this, to do that, but they are not doing. And, there is people, only for listening. They don't know, they coming to listening. And this first and third one is good. But, second one who only speak and not doing, this is not good.
For this, we are saying for ourself to be benefit from what we speak. This is very important. This, for sake of Allāh جل جلاله, we doing this. And people must be benefit from knowledge of Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla and Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam. Many people, they are maybe not happy with some speech, but we are not looking for who will be happy, who will be not happy. What we know is right, we must tell people about this, to make people to benefit from this. So, people who don't know and quickly they don't happy with this, don't like this.
