Suhbah 2022: Maulana Shaykh Mehmet Adil ar-Rabbani (303 suhbah, 650 pages, 17/50)

https://www.nvrislam.net/index.php?j=eng&post=6227
ve advice and tell them to follow the Prophet ﷺ when he ﷺ comes. They were looking for the way of truth when there was nothing.
That was the first time of ignorance, Jāhiliyyati l-ūlā. That's when our Holy Prophet ṣalla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa sallam was born. The whole world was in ignorance and darkness. It was a time absolutely opposite to Islām, humanity, goodness and everything. That time our Holy Prophet ṣalla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa sallam was sent. Many people reached guidance then. And those who didn't reach guidance corrected themselves a little, because they saw that humanity is not like that; so they improved a little.
The second time of ignorance is now. This time is worse. People know everything. Our Holy Prophet ṣalla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam came. The whole world has heard about him ﷺ. And people know that he ﷺ is the last Prophet. Yet they are ignorant, and it is worse. It is worse than the first ignorance. There was nothing back then. People didn't know what humanity, religion or faith are. As they didn't know anything, it was the first ignorance. It was lighter. The present ignorance is much harder.
Ignorance means to not know anything. This is what ignorance is. You can swallow all the books of the world, when you don't know Allāh ‘Azza wa Jalla you are ignorant, you are nothing. An ignorant is a man who was given mind but who doesn't use it. We are living in such a time now. Many people have become prisoners and slaves of their egos, desires and wishes. They are doing whatever their ego wants. They don't want the truth. They say that they are happy with it and live on like that. Their only business is dunyā. They don't want ākhirah. They don't think about it and don't accept it. They say that they are fine. And they want to encourage others to join their way. They tell others to do all the evil there is. They say that if a person wants something, he can do everything. A man didn't create himself to be able to do everything he wants. Allāh ‘Azza wa Jalla created him. He ﷻ taught him about the things that he must do. And He ﷻ forbade things that are not appropriate for his Fitrah/nature and character.
Now is the second time of ignorance. Not only individuals, but even governments and universities do everything they can in order to control people so that they become completely ignorant. If you go against them, you get fined in some places. And in some places, they don't really care. But we are right in the middle of this age of ignorance. Afterwards, when it reaches its completion, it must be gone, it will be over.
Everything has an end. The first time of ignorance is over. This second time of ignorance will be over too with the permission of Allāh ﷻ. Therefore, people, Muslims should not lose hope. This whole existence is something given by Allāh ﷻ. The whole world, universe, everything around are things created by Allāh ﷻ. Others cannot use them as they like. They cannot do as they want. Allāh ‘Azza wa Jalla gives some time, and then it will be gone.
As we said, wise peope of old times, also our Holy Prophet ﷺ said the same thing, “كُلُّ آتٍ قَرِيب”, “Kullu ātin qarīb”, “Everything coming is near”. “What's not coming is far”, says our Holy Prophet ṣalla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa sallam. Old wise people had said the same thing. And our Holy Prophet ﷺ heard it. “كُلُّ آتٍ قَرِيب”, “Kullu ātin qarīb”. One wise man had made long khuṭbah on what was coming. There was wisdom in it. But this is just a part of it. It was mentioned in the ḥadīth of our Holy Prophet ﷺ and by that wise man that what’s coming is near. Even if in 100 years, what's coming is still near. And what's not coming is far; what's not coming will not happen. Therefore, everything has an end which is coming and it is near inshā’Allāh. It will change to the better inshā’Allāh.
Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq. Al-Fatiha.

We Must Be Patient in Everything

08 May 2022 / 07 Shawwal 1443
Mawlana Sheikh Nazim Dergah - Lefke
As-Salāmu ‘Alaykum wa Raḥmatullāhi wa Barakātuh.
A‘ūdhu Billāhi Minash-shayṭāni r-rajīm. Bismillāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm.
Wa ṣ-Salātu wa s-Salāmu ‘alá Rasūlinā Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-Awwalīna wa l-Akhirīn. Madad yā RasūlAllāh, Madad yā Sādāti Aṣḥābi Rasūlillāh, Madad yā Mashāyikhinā, Dastūr Mawlana Shaykh Abdullāh al-Fā’iz ad-Dāghistāni, Shaykh Muḥammad Nāẓim al-Ḥaqqānī. Madad.
Ṭarīqatunā aṣ-Suḥbah wa l-Khayru fi l-Jam‘iyyah.
Allāh ‘Azza wa Jalla says:
(Qur’ān 06:34).
‘‘Wa-la-qad kudhdhibat rusulun min qablika fa-ṣabarū ʿalā mā kudhdhibū wa-ūdhū ḥattā atāhum naṣrunā”
“And certainly were messengers denied before you, but they were patient over [the effects of] denial, and they were harmed until Our victory came to them.”
Prophets are the most patient people. All of them were very patient with their people. They brought them goodness, but the people had caused suffering to them. They called them liars and despised them. But in the end, Allāh ‘Azza wa Jalla helped these Prophets. He ﷻ was with them. And those who weren't with them were destroyed. Therefore, Prophets are the most patient people.
People of the present time don't advise patience. “You must always fight and get your right.” People don't tolerate each other, and then their problems become worse. While there was one problem, it turns into ten or a hundred problems. Whereas if they are patient, everything will be solved. It will be solved before bigger problems occur.
There are many ’āyāt on patience in the Qur’ān ‘Aẓīmu sh-Shān. “َمَنْ صَبَرَ ظَفِر”, “Who is patient is victorious.” This is a Hadīth. Whoever is patient comes out a winner at last. ‘‘وَاصْبِرْ وَمَا صَبْرُكَإِلَّا بِاللَّهِ’’, ‘‘Wa-ṣbir wa-mā ṣabruka illā bi-Llāh’’
‘‘And be patient, and your patience is not but through Allah.’’ (Qur’ān 16:127). Be patient, for Allāh ﷻ is with you. All good things are with the patient ones. It wasn't said that impatience is good or that impatient ones win. There is no such ’āyati Sharīfah.
Therefore, patience is hard. It is bitter. They say, “Patience is bitter but its fruit is sweet.” Therefore, mankind should be patient in this time. If they get angry at everything, they will destroy themselves and harm themselves. That is why, the greatest recommendation and the greatest advice is to be patient.
Especially in this time, they are listening to the shayṭāns and are angry at everyone, angry at their leader, angry at their government. They have made it a habit to demand your right. There is a strange saying, “I will get my right by force.” You can't get anything. And you won't obtain anything. If you try hard yourself, if you show patience in front of Allāh ‘Azza wa Jalla and rely on Allāh ﷻ, you will win then.
Therefore, patience is a good thing for both dunyā and ākhirah. Patience is not easy. Patience is the most difficult thing. It's easy to say it, but to be patient is the most difficult thing. May Allāh ﷻ protect us. May Allāh ﷻ help us inshā’Allāh.
Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq. Al-Fatiha.

They Win Their Lives

07 May 2022 / 06 Shawwal 1443
Mawlana Sheikh Nazim Dergah - Lefke
Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm:
أَلَآ إِنَّ أَوْلِيَآءَ ٱللَّهِ لَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ
(Qur’ān 10:62).
Allāh ‘Azza wa Jalla says, ‘’Alā inna awliyā’a Llāhi lā khawfun a’layhim wa-lā hum yaḥzanūn’’
‘’Verily on the friends of Allah there is no fear, nor shall they grieve”Awliyā’uLlāh, the beloved servants of Allāh ﷻ have no fear at all, no sadness, no sorrow, no worry. They are people loved by Allāh ﷻ. Their Maqams/ranks are very high.
Today we are gathering for the memory of our beautiful Shaykh. May Allāh ﷻ increase his Maqām. We love him.
“اَلْمَرْءُ مَعَ مَنْ أَحَبَّ”, “Al-mar’u ma‘a man aḥabb”, “A servant is with whom he loves”, says our Holy Prophet ṣalla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa sallam. Therefore, for your love and for coming here in order to take from his blessings and love, Allāh ﷻ will reward you with the permission of Allāh ﷻ. We will be together in paradise inshā’Allāh. That is the biggest reward.
People of the present time think that death is the end. There is a new trend now; people don't say someone passed away or someone died. They made up something more polite. They say someone lost his life. Many people lose their lives. Those who don't lose their lives are the ’’Awliyā’’and believers. “Ḥaqqu l-Ḥayāt Ḥayātu l-Abadi” - they are those who won the eternal life. Those who lost their lives wasted themselves for nothing, and their end is disappointment. They are the ones who are in loss. The winners are the friends of Allāh ﷻ, the Awliyā’ of Allāh ﷻ, the beloved people of Allāh ﷻ. They don't lose their lives. They have won their lives. Allāh ﷻ created people in this world not for losing their lives but for winning their lives. Therefore, those who are together with the ’Awliyā’ win with the permission of Allāh ﷻ.
Eight years have passed since his passing. Days are passing instantly. Life is passing. That is why, don't say “I am young. I am old.” Everyone's breath is counted. No matter how long you live, your breath will finish eventually. Therefore, be careful. Always do things that Allāh ﷻlikes. Be with people whom Allāh ﷻ loves. Don't do things that Allāh ‘Azza wa Jalla doesn't love, and don't be with people that He ﷻ doesn't love.
“الْحُبُّ فِي اللَّهِ وَالْبُغْضُ فِي اللَّهِ”,
“Al-ḥubbu fī Llāh wa l-bughdu fī Llāh.” [Hadith]. Love for Allāh ﷻ and hate for Allāh ﷻ. If you dislike someone, dislike the one who goes against Allāh ﷻ. And you must love the one who loves Allāh ﷻ.
So today is the blessed day when our Shaykh departed to the presence of Ḥaqq. Therefore, inshā’Allāh your service will be accepted. We should walk on his way. We shouldn't separate from his way. Mawlānā says that the way of Tarīqah is the way of Himmah/ activeness. It is not the way of laziness. The Mashayikh say, “Those who get tired are not from us. Those who stop are not from us.” It's ok when you’ve just joined Tarīqah; you don't know anything. But you must learn something slowly every day. If you do more, it is good. If you don't, you will still learn something. You must learn what is good and bad, what is ḥalāl and ḥarām.
Because the worship you perform goes to your Shaykh as well with the permission of Allāh ﷻ. Because those who reach guidance through him - Allāh ‘Azza wa Jalla says, through our Holy Prophet ﷺ, that whoever becomes a means of guidance for someone, he takes from his Thawāb. And nothing lacks from the person who is guided.
Therefore, Shukr to Allāh ﷻ this way is everlasting; it is alive. For the Barakah of the Shaykhs, for the Barakah of our Shaykh this way will give guidance and goodness to those who come until Qiyāmah inshā’Allāh. There will be guidance to the way inshā’Allāh.
May Allāh ﷻincrease his maqām. We will all be together in paradise inshā’Allāh.
Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq. Al-Fatiha.

We Ask for Spiritual Food

05 May 2022 / 04 Shawwal 1443
Mawlana Sheikh Nazim Dergah - Lefke
The apostles told Sayyidinā ‘Īsā, “Ask Allāh ﷻ to send a table for us. Let us eat and have our hearts content. Let us trust your words and believe more.” They said so to Sayyidinā ‘Īsā ‘alayhi s-salām. These people were the apostles of Sayyidinā ‘Īsā. They were his Saḥābah, the closest people to him. And they had said so. They asked for Rizq from Allāh ﷻ and to strengthen their belief.
Therefore, our Holy Prophet ṣalla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam says, “The Ulamā’ of my ﷺ Ummah are like the Prophets of Banī Isrā’īl.” Of course, they can't reach the rank of Prophets. But they are like them. Because the Saḥābah believed. They didn't ask for anything. They didn't ask for proof. But despite being near Sayyidinā ‘Īsā for so long, the apostles still had this request. It means that their ’īmān was far behind. Only when they are Prophets, their ’īmān is complete. The Īmān of the apostles who come after the Prophet is very weak. Sayyidinā ‘Īsā ‘alayhi s-salām always showed miracles. He had not thousands but tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands of miracles. Yet they asked for this thing.Shukr to Allāh ﷻ. We make Shukr to Allāh ﷻ for being from the Ummah of Muḥammad ﷺ. There is a table. Here is the table of Allāh ‘Azza wa Jalla. May there be a table for our ’īmān, not for eating and drinking like them. May there be food for our ’īmān, food for our souls. This is what we ask for.
Shukr to Allāh ﷻ, people are running here as it is here. You came here, so may Allāh ﷻ be pleased. This is the table of Allāh ‘Azza wa Jalla inshā’Allāh. It will be food for our souls. Those who came here won't go empty-handed inshā’Allāh. They will go back with ’īmān, Islām and with their wishes coming true inshā’Allāh. Because they came for the pleasure of Allāh ﷻ. Not for eating and drinking, not for anything else. They came just for the love of Allāh ﷻ, the Prophet ﷺ, the Awliyā’ and the Shaykh. May Allāh ﷻ be pleased with all of you. Welcome.
Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq. Al-Fatiha.

How to Be Sincere

06 May 2022 / 05 Shawwal 1443
Mawlana Sheikh Nazim Dergah - Lefke
As-Salāmu ‘Alaykum wa Raḥmatullāhi wa Barakātuh.
A‘ūdhu Billāhi Minash-shayṭāni r-rajīm. Bismillāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm.
Wa ṣ-Salātu wa s-Salāmu ‘alá Rasūlinā Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-Awwalīna wa l-Akhirīn. Madad yā RasūlAllāh, Madad yā Sādāti Aṣḥābi Rasūlillāh, Madad yā Mashāyikhinā, Dastūr Mawlana Shaykh Abdullāh al-Fā’iz ad-Dāghistāni, Shaykh Muḥammad Nāẓim al-Ḥaqqānī. Madad.
Ṭarīqatunā aṣ-Suḥbah wa l-Khayru fi l-Jam‘iyyah.
Allāh ‘Azza wa Jalla tells us to be sincere. مُخْلِصِينَ لَهُ ٱلدِّينَ
‘’Mukhliṣīna Lahu d-dīn’’, ‘’Sincere to Him in religion.’’ (Qur’ān 98:05).
It is praising sincere people, sincere Muslims. Who worships Allāh ﷻ sincerely, loves for Allāh ﷻ, does everything for the pleasure of Allāh ﷻ, doesn't show off and asks only for the pleasure of Allāh ﷻ is the sincere one. This is sincerity.
People attain it by worshipping, and Allāh ﷻ gives it to their hearts. Allāh ‘Azza wa Jalla says, “It is a secret of My secrets. I give it to the heart of whomever I want.” Whoever worships Allāh ﷻ sincerely, this secret enters his heart. It remains with him. We should do everything as Allāh ﷻ orders, as our Holy Prophet ṣalla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa sallam told us. We should strive to do so, and may Allāh ﷻ forgive what we cannot do.
But in order to show off, there is no need to add other things to it. You should follow the religion sincerely. Whatever you were ordered, follow that. The religion has its principles and pillars. You cannot do according to your own mind. Being in Tarīqah, we should follow first of all our Holy Prophet ﷺ, his ﷺ Ahlu l-Bayt and Saḥābah, then the scholars and Imāms of Madhhabs. Whatever the Imām of Madhhab says, you must follow it. There are orders like this for women and like that for men. You must follow them. When you go out of them, you become a bad example and it becomes Bid‘ah. This is the Bid‘ah. It is fine if it is good. But when you do something opposite to the religion or Madhhab - Madhhab explains the religion - you make Bid‘ah. That Bid‘ah will take you out of the way in the end. You will think that you are doing something good, but you'll be out of the way.
Of course, here in Tarīqah, there is tolerance for everyone to come, but people understand tolerance in a bad way in the end. They think that it [the action] is from religion. There is nothing like this. Especially, women should not be loud. When women are loud, it is wrong. Women can be loud among themselves. Their voices are ‘Awrah/private. Talking aloud, especially while making Takbīr in a prayer and while saying ’Amīn - Normally, you must be quiet while saying ’Amīn in Ḥanafī Madhhab. It is ok in Shāfi‘ī. But when they are together: it’s okay for men since they are among each other, but women must not make Takbīr. Shāfi‘ī, Ḥanafī or whatever, they should not say it loudly.
We have been showing tolerance. But we see that it is getting worse. Our Tarīqah pays attention to the Madhhabs and obeys them. You can't do according to your own minds. If you do so, your sincerity will be gone. You will be showing off. You'll be doing things according to your own mind. And we don't give permission to that. Whoever does it does on his own; but he's an example to others as well.
Therefore, we are warning about it. They should obey that. You have come until here. You have come in order to earn this virtue and Thawāb. Don't commit a sin while trying to earn Thawāb. Therefore, you should be careful. Other things are not that important. But there are some things, things that our Holy Prophet ṣalla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa sallam forbade, things that Allāh ‘Azza wa Jalla doesn't want. Don't mix them and say that it is the way of Tarīqah. Ḥāshā (far from it). Ṭarīqah doesn't go a tiny bit outside of Sharī‘a and Madhhab. When you do it by yourself, it is a different issue. But you can't mix others in it. Don't be a bad example.
Therefore, if there were no examples, we wouldn't pay much attention. But everyone who comes sees it and says, “We have to do like this.” You go to other places and hear the women’s voices while praying. “How are you doing so?” They say, “It is like that in our Tarīqah. Shaykh Efendi gives permission. We do it this way.” What happens when they say so? Our actions go outside of Sharī‘a then. We go outside of Ahlu s-Sunnah; Ḥāshā (far from it). Therefore, we should be careful. This is sincerity. You must pay attention to your worship.
May Allāh ﷻ help us all inshā’Allāh.
Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq. Al-Fatiha.

Justice Is Only with Islam

04 May 2022 / 03 Shawwal 1443
Mawlana Sheikh Nazim Dergah - Lefke
As-Salāmu ‘Alaykum wa Raḥmatullāhi wa Barakātuh.
A‘ūdhu Billāhi Minash-shayṭāni r-rajīm. Bismillāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm.
Wa ṣ-Salātu wa s-Salāmu ‘alá Rasūlinā Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-Awwalīna wa l-Akhirīn. Madad yā RasūlAllāh, Madad yā Sādāti Aṣḥābi Rasūlillāh, Madad yā Mashāyikhinā, Dastūr Mawlana Shaykh Abdullāh al-Fā’iz ad-Dāghistāni, Shaykh Muḥammad Nāẓim al-Ḥaqqānī. Madad.
Ṭarīqatunā aṣ-Suḥbah wa l-Khayru fi l-Jam‘iyyah.
Justice is the foundation of Islām. When there is no justice in Islām, it is not a real Islām.
Justice was applied by Islamic states, by Khalīfahs. After the end of the Ottomans, there is nothing as justice. Neither in Turkey nor in Arab or Islamic countries. Neither in Europe nor in Africa. They say that they are doing justice, but none of them are right. Especially in Western countries. They pretend to do it, but in reality, it is not applied. Only Islām does justice. Our Holy Prophet ﷺ had said about Sayyidatīna Fāṭima, “Even if my ﷺ daughter does something, I will certainly punish her.” Our Holy Prophet ṣalla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa sallam said so.
Therefore, when someone goes to the court now, it takes years. At last, he'll be proven right, or wrong even if he's right. Even when he's proven to be right at last, late justice is not justice. There were “Qāḍī” during the Ottomans who are known as a “Judge” now. They used to come and close the case in one session. The right one would take his right. And the wrong one was given punishment if he had punishment, or he would return one's right if he had to. They would be satisfied and leave without any objection.
But now they bother the court for years with useless things. And things they are right in get lost in between. This is injustice. It is wrong. Allāh ﷻ is not pleased with this. The right remains for the ākhirah then. And in ākhirah, it will be more difficult. Then, there is no delay. Whoever takes someone's right is punished immediately. Allāh ﷻ is Just. He ﷻ is the Possessor of Justice. And He ﷻ asks for it in everything.
When there is no justice in a country, there is no peace and no goodness. That is why, it is important. Everyone sees that but cannot change it. Why? Because there is no real inheritor or Khalīfah of our Holy Prophet ﷺ. They are taking others’ rights as they like, and they are helping in injustice. May Allāh ﷻ send us the Ṣāhib who will give justice inshā’Allāh.
Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq. Al-Fatiha.

Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm:
وَكُلٌّ فِي فَلَكٍ يَسْبَحُونَ
(Qur’ān 36:40).
“Wa-kullun fī falakin yasbaḥūn”
“But each, in an orbit, is swimming.’’
A visitor came a while ago. He asked where this world is going. “Where is this world going?”, he said. We replied that Allāh ‘Azza wa Jalla put this world on a journey. So it is going on its journey. Everything has a place to go, a destination point.
The destination of the world; Shukr to Allāh ﷻ, Prophets, scholars, Awliyā’, Sālih/righteous ones and Mashāyikh, all of them had said where it is going. The world is going to ākhirah. In order to inform people about it, Allāh ‘Azza wa Jalla sent Prophets. They explained everything to people. Yet mankind is still asking where we are going, where the world is going. Ignorant people ask and assume that it will not reach anywhere and that it will keep on moving. No, everything has an end. And the final destination is Qiyāmah. Qiyāmah is the point where people will reach the real life once again. And this is our journey we are going on. It is the real journey.
The world is not still by the wisdom of Allāh ﷻ. It is moving with high speed. With the power of Allāh ‘Azza wa Jalla the universe and everything is in motion. Allāh ‘Azza wa Jalla gives this motion. Allāh ‘Azza wa Jalla gives this power and speed. Even if people don't feel it and say that it is still, we are moving.
We were on a journey once, and there was some Majdhūb. We prayed two Rakāt traveller prayer and told them to complete theirs. But he didn't pray. “You are local”, we said. He said, “No, I am a traveller too.” It’s true, we are all travellers. The world is moving, so are we. We are not permanent residents here. Our journey is going on. It is going towards ākhirah.
People who know this and prepare themselves attain the generous kindness of Allāh ﷻ. They attain the mercy and guidance ofAllāh ﷻ, for they are lucky people. Now, they are not in the majority in this world. The majority is unaware of anything. They think nothing will happen and say, “We are on our own here. Life is short. Let us enjoy it as much as we can. Let's cheat ourselves and have fun. Let's do everything. There is nothing after this.” No, there is. There is a destination point. You have your destination point too. And it is clear where the world is going. Those who know and accept it are lucky people.
Allāh ‘Azza wa Jalla sent Prophets to inform everyone about it. And then He ﷻ sent scholars. All of them were sent down books from the presence of Allāh ‘Azza wa Jalla. You are given notice that you will go here and there. You say, “No, I have no idea.” You know but you don't accept this. You say that this is nothing. But in the end, they will be disappointed and lost, says Allāh ‘Azza wa Jalla. When the Mushriks/ polytheists, unbelievers and those who go against Allāh ﷻ go to ākhirah, they will feel strange. They will be shocked. They will say, “Allāh Allāh! We didn't predict this.” You must! You were told about it. You must know. All
