Suhbah 2020: Maulana Shaykh Mehmet Adil ar-Rabbani (22/25)

https://www.nvrislam.net/index.php?j=eng&post=5572
m that. Nothing but harm will come out of that. Allah Azza wa Jalla teaches us, by giving us Islam, to do good and help each other. It is a great blessing. To be with good people and to help each other, strength comes out of it. Seeing each other makes people more and more comfortable. It is difficult when they are alone. So Allah tells us to help each other in goodness. Help each other in doing

good. Avoid badness, do not even approach it. May Allah protect us. Now there are many bad people and many people who follow their egos. They are greedy, and then they regret it.

May Allah not make us from the regretful ones, neither in this world nor in the hereafter. May Allah protect us.

Wa Minallah at-Tawfeeq, Al-Fatiha.

192.RELATIVES Wednesday, 25 November 2020

Assalamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullah wa Barakatuh, Auzu Billahi Minashaytanir Rajeem. Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem, Wassalatu Wassalamu ala Rasulina Muhammadin Sayyidal Awwalin wal Akhirin, Madad Ya RasulAllah, Madad Ya As’habi RasulAllah, Madad Ya Mashayikhina, Shaykh Abdullah Daghestani, Shaykh Nazim Al-Haqqani. Dastur. Tariqatunas sohba, wa khayru fil jamiyya. Our Holy Prophet was sent by Allah to guide people as mercy to the worlds. At the beginning, his own tribe was not against him, they were going to be with him, but one of his uncles Abu Lahab was opposed to Him. The Holy Prophet gathered everybody and told them that the order of Allah 'azza wa jalla was to start with [inviting to Islam] relatives and those around you first. Most of his other uncles accepted, but all of the sudden this one called Abu Lahab opposed it and banned them from being guided on the right way.

Although the Holy Prophet was showing the way of guidance and the way of lights to all of them, nevertheless this uncle called Abu Lahab was the one who harmed him the most. That is why Allah 'azza wa jalla revealed a surah about him. Until the Day of Judgement he is being shamed and condemned, and subjected to the wrath of Allah. That is done to be an example and lesson for people.

As long as one does not believe in Allah, nothing is useful and relatives will be of no help. Nothing has importance, if one does not believe in Allah. Believing in Allah is the most important thing. If one does not believe in Allah, even if the whole world is yours, it is of no use. The Holy Prophet suffered a lot of afflictions and difficulties, but turned these into good examples by loving and accepting whatever Allah ordained. We should not consider them as difficulties, because Allah 'azza wa jalla is commanding them to occur, [and so] there are rewards following them.

The most rewarding works are those that are difficult, but if Allah wills, He makes hard tasks easy for people. It might look hard for people, but actually be easy. It is made easy by Allah for those whom He loves. It becomes a source of comfort, Insha Allah

As we read in the hadith lesson yesterday, iman is important, but it needs to be refreshed, for it gets old, and so we can say again, “Lā ilāha illā Llāh.” As we constantly say “lā ilāha illā Llāh”, both our faith will be renewed and we will gain the reward for [saying] it.

May Allah grant us real iman. May Allah protect us from Shaytan and from the evils of our ego, Insha Allah.

Wa Minallah at-Tawfeeq, Al-Fatiha.

194.PHARAOHS AND NIMRODS Friday, 27 November 2020

Assalamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullah wa Barakatuh, Auzu Billahi Minashaytanir Rajeem. Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem, Wassalatu Wassalamu ala Rasulina Muhammadin Sayyidal Awwalin wal Akhirin, Madad Ya RasulAllah, Madad Ya As’habi RasulAllah, Madad Ya Mashayikhina, Shaykh Abdullah Daghestani, Shaykh Nazim Al-Haqqani. Dastur. Tariqatunas sohba, wa khayru fil jamiyya. Ever since this world was founded and established there have been various types of people. Sometimes they are good people, but most of the time people are bad.

Because when people follow their ego, the ego tries to takeover Allah 'azza wa jalla’s place and thinks of itself as Allah. Many Nimruds and Pharaohs have come, and many more people like them have also come and gone. Now we're in the End Times, and the worst times are coming.

Those of the past tyrannized their own people, their hands reached only so far, but now they have the power to tyrannize the whole world. So they continue to tyrannize the world.

“Hattā idhā akhadhati l-ar'du zukhrufahā wa-zzayyanat wa-zanna ahluhā annahum qādirūn ‘alayhā ātāhā amrunā laylan aw nahāran fa- ja‘alnāhā hasīdan ka-ān lam taghna bi-l-ams” (Qur’ān 10:24)

“Then just as the earth looks its best, perfectly beautified, and its people think they have full control over it, there comes to it Our command by night or by day, and We mow it down as if it had never flourished yesterday!”

In fact this verse in the Holy Quran gives time to people, since they are saying, we are ruling everything, we are in control of everything. Now

the pharaohs and nimrods of today have control of the whole world, and they think they can do anything they want, and they can do whatever they want. They are changing many things, and are trying to change Allah 'azza wa jalla creatures.

They are trying to change the world, and they think of themselves as something special. Yet none of them has any value in the sight of Allah 'azza wa jalla. In one night, Allah 'azza wa jalla can finish all that they do, like burnt crops, as if it never existed.

The latest pharaohs and nimrods oppose the power of Allah 'azza wa jalla. Nimrod is worst than pharaoh, and his lineage still continues today. These are the people of his offspring, his kindred who still give him credit. Pharaoh is gone; they do not respect him. Those of Nimrod—these are from his progeny and lineage—but Allah 'azza wa jalla will get rid of them too, and whatever they have done will be as if it wasn’t done at all. It will remain like burnt crops.

The tyranny does not continue; there is an end to the tyranny. When this latest tyranny reaches its peak, it is bound to end and disappear.

Allah 'azza wa jalla will send a holy one, the one who is mentioned by the Holy Prophet, Imam Mahdi. Only then will they all be finished and cleaned. Until then, of course they try to say that we have done this and we are trying to do that, that he did this and that. This will not end; their fitna will continue.

When Allah 'azza wa jalla sends Imam Mahdi, he is going finish them and cleanse them away until no unbelievers will be left in this world. May Allah 'azza wa jalla make us reach those days in safety, insha'Allah. It is close now, insha'Allah. Those with patience will be in safety, and their rewards will be great, Insha Allah.

May Allah strengthen our faith, and keep us safe, Insha Allah. Wa Minallah at-Tawfeeq, Al-Fatiha.

195.MAKING ONE’S ARRANGEMENTS AND RELIANCE ON ALLAH (TADBİR AND TAWAKKUL) Saturday, 28 November 2020

Assalamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullah wa Barakatuh, Auzu Billahi Minashaytanir Rajeem. Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem, Wassalatu Wassalamu ala Rasulina Muhammadin Sayyidal Awwalin wal Akhirin, Madad Ya RasulAllah, Madad Ya As’habi RasulAllah, Madad Ya Mashayikhina, Shaykh Abdullah Daghestani, Shaykh Nazim Al-Haqqani. Dastur. Tariqatunas sohba, wa khayru fil jamiyya. Allah 'azza wa jalla ever-exalted and glorious is making us live in these times, giving us our sustenance, and most importantly He has given us faith, iman.

With faith these hard times are easy for us. Allah 'azza wa jalla makes the heart at ease. Nothing is difficult in the sight of Allah; everything is easy. A person with Allah 'azza wa jalla lives in ease and does not suffer hardship. There are difficulties of course, but Allah 'azza wa jalla gives people such strength that the servants of Allah are able to do things beyond their strength. We need to trust (i.e., have tawakkul) in Allah 'azza wa jalla, and we should not lose hope.

The whole world is struggling with this illness. They are saying, “Let’s do it like this! No, let’s do it like this!” “Let’s do it” is not very important; it’s not important. After Allah does not allow, nothing will happen without His will. We need to trust in Allah 'azza wa jalla, and then do what we are supposed to do, while [also] planning and taking precautions (i.e., doing tadbīr). You are to trust in Allah first, and then take precautions. Now some are so panicked by a woman coming out and saying, “I’m going to shut everything down.” Well if you shut everything, what are people going to eat and drink? We are living in unusual times.

Everything is in the hands of Allah 'azza wa jalla. If Allah 'azza wa jalla so decides, your precautions will be of no use. If He decides in favor, then no matter how much you do, and no matter what you do, even if you put 100 masks on your face, it is going to be of no use. Just like Nimrod—a mosquito went up his nose! The people of today, of these times, worse things can happen to them. And worse things do happen.

So we need to take precautions, but before that put your trust in Allah 'azza wa jalla. Even when taking medicine, you should drink the medicine while saying, “Bismillah, the cure is not from you but from Allah 'azza wa jalla.” While taking precautions, you should seek help from Allah, otherwise no precaution that you take will be of any use. Remember our biggest weapon, or our greatest weapon, is dua. There is war in the world. The world is at war, and so our greatest weapon is dua against these unseen weapons. Dua is the weapon of believers. We have to put our trust in Allah 'azza wa jalla and ask Allah for help. Thanks be to Allah 'azza wa jalla that we have faith and prayers. We don’t need a greater weapon than these. After taking precautions, insha’Allah, those who are with Allah 'azza wa jalla will prevail.

Those who are not with Allah 'azza wa jalla, they have lost from the start. They have lost. Even if you think that they have won, they are at loss and harmed. They will never win and never be victorious. Those who think they have won, when they go to the Hereafter, they will suffer their punishment.

So although people everywhere and all over the world may panic, there’s no need to panic, because this is all by the order of Allah. It is done upon the will of Allah. Even if they make a weapon, it also is done with the order of Allah. As long as He does not will it, neither will a bomb explode, nor a vehicle move, nothing will happen.

That is why believers and Muslims should think about this and should not fear. They should not play with people’s rizq either. By His command these things will not work. That is not how we take precaution, we need to think about people’s rizq. The giver of rizq is Allah 'azza wa jalla. He

has assigned to everyone his food, how much he is going to eat, and people are not going to eat more than Allah 'azza wa jalla gives, even if the whole world belongs to them.

May Allah 'azza wa jalla give our faith more strength, so that we may pass these difficulties with ease, insha'Allah.

Wa Minallah at-Tawfeeq, Al-Fatiha.

196.FAITH STRENGTHENS PEOPLE Sunday, 29 November 2020

Assalamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullah wa Barakatuh, Auzu Billahi Minashaytanir Rajeem. Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem, Wassalatu Wassalamu ala Rasulina Muhammadin Sayyidal Awwalin wal Akhirin, Madad Ya RasulAllah, Madad Ya As’habi RasulAllah, Madad Ya Mashayikhina, Shaykh Abdullah Daghestani, Shaykh Nazim Al-Haqqani. Dastur. Tariqatunas sohba, wa khayru fil jamiyya.

Auzu Billahi Minashaytanir Rajeem. Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem, (Qur’ān 04:28) Allah says: ‘And mankind was created weak.’ Allah says that mankind is created weak. Eventhough he has been created weak, he is the creature that has the most control in the world. It is the wisdom of Allah that He created man weak. But if He created him as other creatures, nothing of this world will remain. Humans may be weak, but most of the time they are oppressive. Because they follow their ego, when they find an opportunity they destroy and do not listen to anything else. Those who do not obey their ego and put it under control are the acceptable ones. They are not weak. The weak one is the one who surrenders to his ego. Allah created him weak but he can be strengthened by following and obeying Allah.

Weakness is not acceptable. Our Holy Prophet says “A strong believer is better than a weak believer.” Of course, we are all weak,” before Allah, but a person gains strength from faith. If he has no faith, he is defeated and weak. Faith strengthens people. Faith elevates people. Otherwise you are just a useless and harmful person. As we see those who follow their minds and whatever their ego wants, they become slaves to their ego. Thus, a society that does not believe in Allah is formed. They want everyone to do all the filth that their ego wants. They want everyone to be just like them. These are weak people who have been misled by their egos. We must not be like them. We must oppose them.

They say that there is nothing left, neither freedom nor humanity nor democracy. And when you are not with them, when you oppose them, you become an enemy to all of them. Everything they say is lies, hypocrisy and nothing but filth. They are the soldiers and followers of shaytan. Therefore, a person becomes stronger through faith.

May Allah give us all true and strong faith. May we be strong servants against unbelief and oppression. May Allah’s help be with us Insha Allah.

Wa Minallah at-Tawfeeq, Al-Fatiha.

197.THE CREATOR OF CAUSES Monday, 30 November 2020

Assalamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullah wa Barakatuh, Auzu Billahi Minashaytanir Rajeem. Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem, Wassalatu Wassalamu ala Rasulina Muhammadin Sayyidal Awwalin wal Akhirin, Madad Ya RasulAllah, Madad Ya As’habi RasulAllah, Madad Ya Mashayikhina, Shaykh Abdullah Daghestani, Shaykh Nazim Al-Haqqani. Dastur. Tariqatunas sohba, wa khayru fil jamiyya. Allah ‘azza wa jalla says, Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem,, “Wa-li-Llāhi l- asmā’u l-husnā fa-d‘ūhu bi-hā” (Qur’ān Araf Suresi – 180) “Allah has the Most َ¸ Beautiful Names, so call upon Him by them.” Allah 'azza wa jalla has ninety-nine names and to recite them every day is a sunnah. It is for our benefit: in the sight of Allah they protects us from Hellfire, and in this world a person’s works will go according to plan. If you can not memorize them, then you can read them.

In our tasbihat some of the names are recited everyday. It’s good to recite them everyday. Others in general are [also] recited once a day, and if so done, there are many benefits for the reciter. Allah Almighty also has the greatest name, al-ism al-‘azam. It is secret and only those who have nasib, who were granted that secret, know it. It is not found by research, but by whomever Allah wills it to be known, that favor reaches the person. It is by the wisdom of Allah, and He grants to whomever He wishes to grant it to.

You cannot interfere in Allah’s work and question him. Why? Because the questioning is also created by Allah, it makes no sense to ask Him to question Himself.

Sayyidna Ali says about Allah 'azza wa jalla, that the creator of “how” and “why” is Allah, and you cannot ask about it. He is the owner of the

belaghat, the one who has the highest station, the highest knowledge. “Why” is also created by Allah, so one cannot ask Allah why. Allah ‘azza wa jalla does what He wills, and as He likes. What is required for us, He gives us, and He commands us. Do not interfere in things that are useless and that do not concerns us. Your mind has a limit, a boundary. Do as much as you can, [because] God forbid, if you pass that boundary, the cables will burn and the mind will go away. It would be for your disadvantage and for your harm. Allah 'azza wa jalla has shown us things that are going to benefit us. He told us about them, so do them. If there are other things that you want, if He wants, He will give it to you. If He does not want it, then it is not going to happen. If you want something, and if there is a path, continue on that path, that is what is required to do. Allah 'azza wa jalla knows people’s limits. He knows the boundaries, and He gives something to whomever He wishes, and doesn’t give it to whom He doesn’t wish. We cannot interfere in his work.

A believer should, therefore, know the things that need to be done and the things that must not be done. There are plenty of ignorant people, who can talk as they like and as much as they want, but the believer needs to know his adab and his limits and boundaries. He needs to know that adab is the most important thing. It’s important between people and towards Allah ‘azza wa jalla. It is one of the most important things towards Allah. So let us keep within adab, and with good manners apply and perform as much as possible the things that He ordered us to do. Let us have the niyyet to do them all, and Allah will give us according to our intention. He will reward us accordingly. If you can do it, fine; but if you can’t, then even if you don’t do it, still because of your niyyet, Allah 'azza wa jalla will grant you the rewards and give you the bounty. He is of endless bounty, endless treasures, and He is not worried about running out supplies.

May Allah give us the faith and strength. May He protect us from the fitnah of these End Times, and from calamities and diseases also.

Wa Minallah at-Tawfeeq, Al-Fatiha.

198.GOOD PEOPLE Tuesday, 1 December 2020

Assalamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullah wa Barakatuh, Auzu Billahi Minashaytanir Rajeem. Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem, Wassalatu Wassalamu ala Rasulina Muhammadin Sayyidal Awwalin wal Akhirin, Madad Ya RasulAllah, Madad Ya As’habi RasulAllah, Madad Ya Mashayikhina, Shaykh Abdullah Daghestani, Shaykh Nazim Al-Haqqani. Dastur. Tariqatunas sohba, wa khayru fil jamiyya. Auzu Billahi Minashaytanir Rajeem. Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem, “Wa- la-nabluwannakum bi-shay’in mina l-khawfi wa-l-jū‘i wa-naqsin mina l- amwāli wa-l- anfusi wa-th-thamarāti wa-bashshiris -sābirīn” (Qur’ān 2:155).

Allah 'azza wa jalla says to be sure that We will test you with hunger, famine, and death, but to give glad tidings to those who are patient. All of these are tests. During these days there are always tests, but now there are more. There are things over people. Right now are the Last Days, and thanks be to Allah that there is no hunger here.

There is barakah here, but there is hunger in other places. Even though there is no hunger here, there is no patience. People slander patience, and calumny is quite prevalent. May Allah reward them, be happy with them, and be satisfied. Allah has said regarding our leaders, that those who say and remember Allah and who ask for help from Allah 'azza wa jalla, He will help them with everything. He is helping all Muslims all over the world, wherever they may be. He is helping even those who are not Muslims.

Unfortunately, there are people who are opposed to everything and are not being patient. Let alone not being patient, they are even cursing Allah and cursing towards the Holy Prophet! They are suffering here [now],

and [yet] their suffering is in vain and of no benefit. They have no glad tidings. The glad tidings are for those who are patient and who trust Allah and seek refuge in Allah. That is of benefit, so all these harms that we are suffering for the sake of Allah may be rewarded in the Hereafter and in this world as well. For these, their works are done at ease, but those who take sides with evil are never at ease. They eat at themselves from inside. But it is only their fault and due to no other reason that they harm themselves, suffer punishment, and torture themselves.

What Allah says happens; what He wills happens. We need to believe this; we need to believe in Allah. Allah 'azza wa jalla has provided us good people to rule us [i.e., in Turkey]. This is important, because most of the time we can see in the countries around us, that they are suffering. They are suffering from their president or prime minister, and they cannot change anything.

No matter how smart or intelligent one may be, if there is someone who is not good for you ruling you at the head, harm and suffering will come regardless of your intelligence.

Allah is with those who are good; that is what is beautiful. Even if they don’t do anything else, as long as they are people who obey Allah and follow Allah, that is the biggest advantage.

Because our Holy Prophet says, “However you are, that is the kind of ruler Allah will place over you.” Insha’Allah, to their credit those people who are in the silent majority are plenty in this country. Allah has placed good people to rule over us. These good people are not just doing good for Turkey but good for the whole Islamic world.

People in Turkey are not aware of it, but when Turks go abroad everybody is looking at us. This place is the head of the Islamic world; nowhere else is—neither Mecca, nor Medina, nor anywhere else. It is not they. They are the enemies of Islam and Muslims, but here is the head of Muslims, so Allah helps them [i.e., our leaders]. Those who receive

Allah’s help will never fall. It is the End Times now, and the Owner of the Time, the Sahib, will arrive and appear soon. He will come out with the good people. No bad people will be left, insha’Allah. The time is near, so to protect ourselves we need to be patient. Just as the president says, stay at home and do not leave the house too much.

Just like Sheikh Baba, Sheikh Nazim, used to say, do not get frequent crowded places. It is the same thing that our president is saying. He is not saying a bad thing. If you don’t protect yourself, then you can’t blame this or that other person. Everyone should try to preserve themselves as much as possible. This is what needs to be done. Once this is done, then insha’Allah let us also trust in Allah, and that is [in fact] the most important thing.

We will seek refuge in Allah, we will believe in Allah, and we will make dua, supplication and prayer. With His help, insh’Allah, our end will be good. In every way it is going to be good. Never will we be at loss, as we are with Allah. [Whether things go] this or that way, it will be good. But those who do not believe in Allah are always at loss. Whether they are good or bad, it doesn’t matter. There is no difference, for they are always at a continuous loss. They have no quality, and their end will be bad. Turn back to Allah, and believe in Allah. May Allah give us iman, true strong iman, such iman to all of us. Wa Minallah at-Tawfeeq, Al-Fatiha.

199.THE ONE WHO LAUGHS LAST Wednesday, 2 December 2020

Assalamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullah wa Barakatuh, Auzu Billahi Minashaytanir Rajeem. Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem, Wassalatu Wassalamu ala Rasulina Muhammadin Sayyidal Awwalin wal Akhirin, Madad Ya RasulAllah, Madad Ya As’habi RasulAllah, Madad Ya Mashayikhina, Shaykh Abdullah Daghestani, Shaykh Nazim Al-Haqqani. Dastur. Tariqatunas sohba, wa khayru fil jamiyya. Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem, “Inna l-ladhīna ajramū kānū mina l- ladhīna āmanū yad’hakūna wa-idhā marrū bi-him yataghāmazūn”(Qur’ān 83:29-30).

In the Holy Quran, Allah 'azza wa jalla says that those without faith were mocking and laughing at the faithful, and thinking that they were doing something useful. When they went back to their community they were happy.”

This is how Allah describes them and tells us about them. In this world these unbelievers, who think they are something special, hate, mock, and humiliate the believers. They do all sorts of such actions and think they are doing something special or important. They see themselves as higher, as a more elite class. They would like to use other people as they like, as if it were their right to do so. In the Hereafter, however, the mu’mineen will laugh at these unbelievers.

They say, “The one who laughs last, laughs longest.” So in the end, it will be the believers who will laugh at the unbelievers’ states and at their end, because of all the things that they have done thinking that they were the most intelligent, the cleverest, the most learned people, and they did not accept the truth but followed Shaytan. So the mu’mineen and Muslims will laugh at them, because at that time these others will have nothing to laugh about.

At that time, they will be in eternity and suffering the pain. They will be crying and yelling for having to endure such a life, and its end is going to be never-ending, continuous. There are many people in this world who make fun of you, or your type, or your type of clothes. There are many people like that who might be saying, “What kind of thing is this?” They laugh a lot. “Is this modernity? What kind of clothes are you wearing? Look at how you are acting!” There are many who think like this, yet these clothes and actions are for the sake of Allah, and they are done for His satisfaction. So those who laugh at these will in the end regret it. They will be sorry.

Our Holy Prophet says that on the path of Allah we are not going to worry whether they’re going to laugh at us or mock us. There is no need to be sad. Everybody dresses as he pleases, roams around as he likes, walks around as he likes. Nobody laughs at you just because you are wearing modern clothes, so nobody should laugh at you if you are wearing dervish clothes. So we need to be careful with this, and Allah is watching all of us. Our end will be in the presence of Allah, and those who win in the end will be the mu’mineen, the believers. So there is no need to be sad, or to be distressed, or to be embarrassed.

If there is anybody who should be ashamed, it is those who are disobeying the commands and orders of Allah. Their end will be in loss, and it is not going to be good for whomever does not repent.

May Allah give us health and wellbeing, and give strength to our iman, Insha Allah.

Wa Minallah at-Tawfeeq, Al-Fatiha.

200.THE VIRTUES OF SURAT UL-‘ASR Thursday, 3 December 2020

Assalamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullah wa Barakatuh, Auzu Billahi Minashaytanir Rajeem. Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem, Wassalatu Wassalamu ala Rasulina Muhammadin Sayyidal Awwalin wal Akhirin, Madad Ya RasulAllah, Madad Ya As’habi RasulAllah, Madad Ya Mashayikhina, Shaykh Abdullah Daghestani, Shaykh Nazim Al-Haqqani. Dastur. Tariqatunas sohba, wa khayru fil jamiyya. There are many surah’s in the Holy Quran and all of them are beautiful. There is one particular surah that is short, yet it tells people and Muslims what to do. It explains it. Those who follow these suggestions reach felicity. It is Surah Al-Asr.

Allah 'azza wa jalla says, Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem, “Wa-l-‘asri, innā -l-insāna lafī khusrin illā l-ladhīna āmanū wa- ‘amilūs-sālihātu wa- tawāssau bi-l-haqq wa-tawāssau bi-as abr .”

Allah swears that all humanity is at loss, the son of man is at loss, except for those who have faith, who do good deeds, and who are patient. They are the winners. The rest are all at loss. It is not so long of a surah, but it is hard for humanity to do. To do good, to help others in doing good works, is difficult for people. This is because there are many things that appear to stop oneself, a list starting with the nafs and Shaytan. Those around us try to stop us from having faith and doing good works, and they do as much as possible to weaken people's faith. So those who have iman should know that Allah 'azza wa jalla has granted them a great favor by giving them iman. In any event, those who have faith try to follow Allah’s commands to do good, and they perform their worship duties and all sorts of the things that Allah loves. Although they have done these, they also need to be patient with all kinds of suffering
