anybody. Millions and billions of people have come and gone. Each of them thought that this world was left to him. Some idiots even went further, declaring to be gods. Neither their divinity nor they remained, they died too. This world is not left to anybody. This world is for the hereafter. Those who use this world for the hereafter are clever ones. Otherwise, no one will stay in this world forever. And even if they do stay, it is of no use. This is the will of Allah.
Our Holy Prophet says: “Allah sends two angels every morning and they declare: ‘Be born only to be dead and build only to be ruined’.”
Every born person will die and everything that is made will be ruined in the end. This is Allah’s law. Therefore, the clever person works for the hereafter, not for this world. Of course, working in this world is in order to make a living. After being obedient to Allah those who work to earn their living and to strengthen Islam are rewarded. And according to their intention it will also be counted as a worship.
But those who do not think about the hereafter, but say: “Let me do this in this world. Let me do that so that my name remains.” They think that people will stay here for millions of years, and that they will remember their name. These people have been deceived. They have been deceiving
themselves. The end of man in this world is death, and everything that is done will eventually be destroyed. Therefore, we should work and build for our hereafter which will not be ruined Insha Allah.
May Allah give us all such a mind and intellect because those who are not thinking as such have no mind or intellect; they are mindless. May Allah give strength to our faith Insha Allah.
Wa Minallah at-Tawfeeq, Al-Fatiha.
151.USELESS KNOWLEDGE Sunday, 20 September 2020
Assalamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullah wa Barakatuh, Auzu Billahi Minashaytanir Rajeem. Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem, Wassalatu Wassalamu ala Rasulina Muhammadin Sayyidal Awwalin wal Akhirin, Madad Ya RasulAllah, Madad Ya As’habi RasulAllah, Madad Ya Mashayikhina, Shaykh Abdullah Daghestani, Shaykh Nazim Al-Haqqani. Dastur. Tariqatunas sohba, wa khayru fil jamiyya.
In the sight of Allah, everything is known and people are told what to do. It is by the wisdom of Allah that people think that by reading a few books they know everything and they understand everything. They believe so. They think so. They do not accept anything from others. The knowledge they read that does not recognize Allah is not knowledge, it is not solid knowledge. Everything they read and teach becomes imagination. They say, “We know this.” Allah has given these people this knowledge, it is pertaining to them. The knowledge of other creatures He created is different, ours is different.
Allah’s knowledge is endless. That’s why we have to turn to Allah. Scholars and educated people should turn to Allah so that they can be saved, and the knowledge they study becomes beneficial. They say that we are being educated. But the more educated they get, the worse they become; they do not get better. They become harmful instead of useful, because what they read is what shaytan teaches. They teach it gradually. Now it is totally clear because it is the end of times. It is not: ‘enjoining good and forbidding evil’, but it is: ‘enjoining evil and forbidding good.” They enjoin evil and forbid good. In short, this is what they teach. They don’t teach goodness. They say now everything is under our control. It is under the control of shaytan. Now you see in Europe, by the wisdom of Allah, they closed everywhere because of this disease but they always insist on opening schools. Why? Because they don’t want to lose control. They will pollute and dirty the child’s brain when he is younger.
What they do is not to wash but to dirty. That’s why, while there are so many prohibitions on this and that, they insist on schooling them so that they can teach them the disgrace and filth of shaytan. They have programs to get kids into this filth, starting in kindergarten. By the wisdom of Allah, this thing came before they even started [the educational year]. They closed schools last year. You cannot go to war against Allah. The end of those who go to war against Allah is loss. Those who are with Allah are saved. May Allah help Islam, because they are doing what Europe and the West are doing. They are sinking with them. They have no thought of their own. Allah gave you mind, and He says: “Think”. It is said: “An hour of contemplation is better than a hundred years of worship.” May Allah give us all minds and intellect Insha Allah.
Wa Minallah at-Tawfeeq, Al-Fatiha.
152.TWO CHOICES Monday, 21 September 2020
Assalamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullah wa Barakatuh, Auzu Billahi Minashaytanir Rajeem. Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem, Wassalatu Wassalamu ala Rasulina Muhammadin Sayyidal Awwalin wal Akhirin, Madad Ya RasulAllah, Madad Ya As’habi RasulAllah, Madad Ya Mashayikhina, Shaykh Abdullah Daghestani, Shaykh Nazim Al-Haqqani. Dastur. Tariqatunas sohba, wa khayru fil jamiyya.
Allah ‘azza wa jalla states in the Holy Quran that whoever comes against Allah, rebels against Allah, and prefers this dunya, then his end will be hellfire, and he should not think that he will be going somewhere good. The choice is his. If he prefers the life of this world, this dunya, leaves Allah, and does all kinds of filth, committing sins and rebelling against Allah, then the place he is going is hell—some for eternity and some not forever. Some who believe in Allah but are then rebellious towards Him will also go to hell. But Allah ‘azza wa jalla says that whoever does not save himself and stop himself from this rebellion is going to hell.
Whoever does stop himself, however, will go to paradise. So people have a choice of either of these two: either they are going to choose hell or heaven. There is no other choice, because there is nowhere else. People have been given a mind, and Allah who has given them the mind has also given them the choice, so that wherever they want to go, they can go.
How can that be? Is this justice from Allah? You can’t interfere with Allah by questioning Him like that. Allah does not oppress, and that means that He has given people the choice to make the decision. So whoever controls his ego—that’s the biggest thing. You have to control yourself; you have to control your ego. It is difficult, but if you control it, you are saved. But if you run after your ego and do whatever it wants, certainly the end will be hellfire.
May Allah protect us! May Allah protect us from the evil of our ego, and help us to strengthen our faith.
Wa Minallah at-Tawfeeq, Al-Fatiha.
153.THE GREATEST OPPRESSION Tuesday, 22 September 2020
Assalamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullah wa Barakatuh, Auzu Billahi Minashaytanir Rajeem. Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem, Wassalatu Wassalamu ala Rasulina Muhammadin Sayyidal Awwalin wal Akhirin, Madad Ya RasulAllah, Madad Ya As’habi RasulAllah, Madad Ya Mashayikhina, Shaykh Abdullah Daghestani, Shaykh Nazim Al-Haqqani. Dastur. Tariqatunas sohba, wa khayru fil jamiyya.
Allah ‘azza wa jalla treats us with His grace and favor. He treats us with mercy, but in response people do evil most of the time. Most people oppress, and the biggest oppression is shirk, the associating of Allah with partners. What is worse is that they deny Allah, not acknowledging or accepting Him. They are thus oppressing themselves.
Allah does not like tyrants, and their end will not be good. They will suffer in the Hereafter on the Day of Judgement. It starts with Resurrection, but after death the intermediate stage called the barzakh starts in the grave. When a person shuts his eyes, he has passed over into real life, and at that time he will answer for what he has done. He will suffer the punishment for it, and then the punishment that will be given to him nobody can save him from. While in this world he had the mind to consider that if he repented it would be good, but if not he would suffer punishment. No one will sacrifice himself for you in the Hereafter. They do sacrificed themselves in this world.
For their father or mother, or for their children, many people sacrifice themselves, but in the Hereafter there is no such a thing. As we read in the Quran, a noble ayah says:
Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem, “Yawma yafirru l-mar’u min akhīhi wa ummihi wa bnihi wa ṣāḥibatihi wa banīhi” (Qur’ān 80:34-36). On that day a man will run away from his brothers, and his mother and his father,
and from his wife and children. Why will he run away? So that they don't claim that he was also with us and attach themselves to him in the Hereafter, because at that time it will either be heaven or hell, and so nobody can sacrifice himself for others in the Hereafter. May Allah keep us safe while in this world. One act of worship that we do now has no difficulty at all compared to how much we struggle for the world. It has no pain, but people think that they were created to serve this world, and so they expend all their efforts and strength for the world. But the commandments of Allah are not hard, not difficult to do, the old and the young, the sick and the healthy, everybody, can do them. Allah gave permission, and gave us ease accordingly, but the son of man somehow cannot do it. He says it is hard.
May Allah make it easy for us, and make us love it, so that maybe we obey Him and worship with love, insha’Allah.
Wa Minallah at-Tawfeeq, Al-Fatiha.
154.ACCOUNTABLE FOR EVERYTHING Wednesday, 23 September 2020
Assalamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullah wa Barakatuh, Auzu Billahi Minashaytanir Rajeem. Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem, Wassalatu Wassalamu ala Rasulina Muhammadin Sayyidal Awwalin wal Akhirin, Madad Ya RasulAllah, Madad Ya As’habi RasulAllah, Madad Ya Mashayikhina, Shaykh Abdullah Daghestani, Shaykh Nazim Al-Haqqani. Dastur. Tariqatunas sohba, wa khayru fil jamiyya.
Allah ‘azza wa jalla says in the Holy Quran, Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem, “ Kullu-mrī. ’im bimā kasaba rahīn” (Qur’ān 52:21)
Everyone is responsible for what he gets and does, and he will be held accountable for it. Everything is recorded. Everything remains in the sight of Allah, so that no one will be able to deny even the smallest things, whether we forget them or not. We might forget, but Allah does not. All is recorded and kept, so that we will give account for it. We will answer for it. Everybody will get credit for whatever good he does, and will receive reward for it, and his end will be good. But if he does wrong, he will suffer the consequences, and suffer the punishment for it.
The most important thing is to believe in Allah. This is true to such an extent that the Holy Prophet said in a hadith that although good and bad might be done, nevertheless what is most important is to say, “La ilaha illa ’Llah”, whereas to associate others with Allah, there is nothing worse than that, for the result will be hell forever. Our Prophet in a hadith also says that if someone commits adultery, or steals, or does evil, if he has said,“ La ilaha illa ’Llah”, he will enter Paradise after he has received his punishment. But if he is insists to deny, (and such stubbornness is what Shaytan wants, [for] Shaytan tries to get people to enter Hell,) then because of that, there will be no salvation for him. But the other will answer for his good and evil deeds, and after he has believed, after he has
believed in Allah, and after he has not ascribed partners to Him, he will eventually be in Paradise, Insha Allah.
For him, that is the important thing. But more important is to pay attention to what we do. When we do evil, don't say that no one has seen us. And if you do, repent and ask forgiveness. And if you have done anything against people, ask them for forgiveness, or repay them in this world, so that you may not be held responsible for it in the Hereafter, and so that you may be pure in the hereafter.
Entering the Next Life with burdens and sins is the hardest and worst thing. It is for a man’s benefit to be pure in the Hereafter. What else do you earn in the world? No matter how much you gain, don’t be happy that fooled such and such a person and that you gained some money from it. Be careful! We all commit sins, people commit sins, but if you ask for forgiveness and repent, Allah will forgive.
May Allah forgive us. Allah is all- forgiving. May He treat us with mercy. May He forgive those who ask for forgiveness. But if they don’t, they themselves will suffer the punishment. Allah forbid! May Allah keep us safe from sins, Insha Allah. Wa Minallah at-Tawfeeq, Al-Fatiha.
155.IN THE TWO WORLDS Friday, 25 September 2020
Assalamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullah wa Barakatuh, Auzu Billahi Minashaytanir Rajeem. Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem, Wassalatu Wassalamu ala Rasulina Muhammadin Sayyidal Awwalin wal Akhirin, Madad Ya RasulAllah, Madad Ya As’habi RasulAllah, Madad Ya Mashayikhina, Shaykh Abdullah Daghestani, Shaykh Nazim Al-Haqqani. Dastur. Tariqatunas sohba, wa khayru fil jamiyya.
Today is blessed Friday. It is the blessed day that Allah ‘azza wa jalla gave to our Prophet. Today is a holiday both in this world and in the Hereafter. It is a feast day for Muslims and believers, because Allah ‘azza wa jalla manifests Himself on Friday in Paradise. That day will be a feast day. The manifestation of Allah ‘azza wa jalla amongst so many blessings and beauties is more beautiful than all of them.
Those in heaven wait for that day so that they can attain that manifestation and see Him. Heaven is such that there are things there that have never come to mind before. This is very different from our life here. There are some idiots [who say], "There will be believers and Muslims in Paradise, so choose Hell! It will be better!" they say. They are supposedly smart. All the famous people are saying that the people whom they think are beautiful will be in Hell, so “Let's go there, what is in paradise? There is nothing,” they say. There are unimaginable beauties in Paradise! Whatever beautiful things there are in the world, compared to the blessings in heaven, these are zero, nothing.
Nevertheless, the greatest wish of the people of heaven is to see and watch the manifestation of Allah ‘azza wa jalla on Friday. How will that manifestation be? Allah knows best that there are special things in Paradise. Few things have been said about Paradise, but there are beauties there that our Prophet said cannot even come to one's mind here. There is also a blessed feast day there on Friday.
We don't know how the days and months are there, but it is “Friday”. There is no night, there is no sun, but with the power, grandeur, and knowledge of Allah ‘azza wa jalla, there is Friday. May Allah make us live those days, and make us happy in this world and in the Hereafter, Insha Allah. Allah bless us all.
May Allah guide those who are not on the right path so that Insha Allah they will see that beauty.
Wa Minallah at-Tawfeeq, Al-Fatiha.
156.BE WITH ALLAH Wednesday, 30 September 2020
Assalamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullah wa Barakatuh, Auzu Billahi Minashaytanir Rajeem. Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem, Wassalatu Wassalamu ala Rasulina Muhammadin Sayyidal Awwalin wal Akhirin, Madad Ya RasulAllah, Madad Ya As’habi RasulAllah, Madad Ya Mashayikhina, Shaykh Abdullah Daghestani, Shaykh Nazim Al-Haqqani. Dastur. Tariqatunas sohba, wa khayru fil jamiyya.
Those who are with Allah do not lose. Those who are with Allah always win. Sometimes it seems like a test, but keep your intentions solid and there is no fear Allah willing. A person who believes and trusts in Allah is always at peace, always at ease. Because you cannot trust anyone else. One day he is with you, the other day he is against you. Even if the whole world is against you, there will be no sadness or trouble as long as you are with Allah.
Be with Allah, have pure intentions and fulfill Allah’s orders. Do not follow your ego. Do not deviate from the path by following your ego. Once you deviate from the path, then it’s your fault, you bear the responsibility. You no longer have the trust that Allah gave you. Allah is with pure people. “Why did this happen to us? What is left?” When you say this, then the deficiency is in you. Look for the deficiency. If there is a deficiency, then do not complain. When you complain, you complain against Allah. As long as you are on the path of Allah, you have no fear. If you have made a mistake knowingly or unknowingly, you will be punished in this world and in the hereafter. A believer repents in this world and saves himself. But those who are not believers, and those who are against Allah will suffer both in this world and in the hereafter. After that, they oppose Allah without any morals or Adab. Allah tells you to be straight. Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem, “So remain on a right course as you have been commanded.” (Qur’ān 11:112). Be straight. Allah is with you as long as you are straight. If you deviate from
the path, Allah path is straight. Aṣ-Ṣirāṭ al-mustaqīm . The straight path. If you go outside of it, it is your fault. Do not look for fault in Allah Repent, seek forgiveness and turn from your mistakes.
May Allah protect us from the evil of our ego. Our ego is strong. If we give it what it wants, we will not be saved. Some foolish ones say: “We will feed our ego until it is satisfied”, but it will be worse. The ego is never satisfied. The more you give the ego, the more it wants. You try so much, saying: “Let my ego be full, then I will turn to Allah, but it won’t work that way. The ego always wants more and more. The more you “give ” it, the more it wants. Therefore, it is necessary to train it so that you are on the right path and you are with Allah. May Allah help us all, and not leave us to the hands of our ego. Don’t look down at others, we also have the same ego. It is not necessary to condemn that ego, but what is necessary is to take a lesson from the situation in which they fell in; it is necessary to take lessons.
We should not give the ego what it wants even for an hour, a minute or a second; it should be trained. May Allah help us.
Wa Minallah at-Tawfeeq, Al-Fatiha.
157.GAINING KNOWLEDGE Thursday, 01 October 2020
Assalamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullah wa Barakatuh, Auzu Billahi Minashaytanir Rajeem. Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem, Wassalatu Wassalamu ala Rasulina Muhammadin Sayyidal Awwalin wal Akhirin, Madad Ya RasulAllah, Madad Ya As’habi RasulAllah, Madad Ya Mashayikhina, Shaykh Abdullah Daghestani, Shaykh Nazim Al-Haqqani. Dastur. Tariqatunas sohba, wa khayru fil jamiyya.
Auzu Billahi Minashaytanir Rajeem. Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem, “Wa qul Rabbi zidnī ‘ilmā” (Qur’ān 20:114).
It is a holy verse where Allah advises us to ask Him to increase our knowledge. It is Allah’s order, a task for us. It is Allah’s command to seek knowledge. For a Muslim to learn is an obligation until death. Whether you go to a madrassa or you learn something new everyday, a Muslim should learn knowledge for the sake of Allah. Knowledge that is not for the sake of Allah is not knowledge but ignorance. It has no benefit. Our Holy Prophet says, “ I seek refuge from useless knowledge.” Some people learn and read, but they do the opposite of what they learn. So seeking knowledge is an order of Allah, and let us do it just as Allah wants and wills, insha’Allah.
Thanks be to Allah that at this [our] madrassah people no longer have to come physically, but it comes all the way to them now. Slowly but surely, however much they can do, they should do. Nobody is pushing them, but they themselves will benefit from it. This will be a benefit too, insha’Allah.
This is a beautiful thing, because unlike in the past when people had to go to another place for knowledge, and stay away from their families for years, and be cut off from the world, now there are more opportunities and means. But [still] it is difficult. More people can join in nowadays by
using these means, but there is no trust.
There are those who, instead of being useful, are harmful most of the time, and as we have seen their knowledge to be, their teachings have confused the Muslim world. People go all the way to certain countries, and then they come back to their countries not with knowledge but with fitna.
So insha’Allah what we are doing is for the sake of Allah, and therefore it maybe useful for everybody and for Muslims, insha’Allah. This is the intention, and may Allah give us according to our intention. May He accept it and what we are trying to do, because we are trying hard, and there is fitna, a very serious fitna that makes it unclear what is good and what is bad.
So insha’Allah, these things that are done with sincerity are being done five days a week for the sake of Allah, and the teaching will be based on the most trustworthy authors and books. Of course, the first year will be a preparatory year, and after that students can start fully [into the subjects during] the second year. We took a step. May Allah be our helper. May Allah make it for guidance, Insha Allah. Wa Minallah at-Tawfeeq, Al-Fatiha.
158.POSSESSING A SENSE OF SHAME Friday, 02 October 2020
Assalamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullah wa Barakatuh, Auzu Billahi Minashaytanir Rajeem. Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem, Wassalatu Wassalamu ala Rasulina Muhammadin Sayyidal Awwalin wal Akhirin, Madad Ya RasulAllah, Madad Ya As’habi RasulAllah, Madad Ya Mashayikhina, Shaykh Abdullah Daghestani, Shaykh Nazim Al-Haqqani. Dastur. Tariqatunas sohba, wa khayru fil jamiyya.
The Holy Prophet says,“ Al-ḥayā’u mina l-īmān.” Shame comes from faith. “Shame” means adab. People with good manners are people with faith. Those who do not have adab are not ashamed. They are missing faith, iman. What should we be ashamed of? First, we should be ashamed before Allah We need to have adab towards Him, then towards our Holy Prophet and also towards people. We should have adab, since this is the basis of tariqah, and is the basis of Islam, also.
The Holy Prophet used to call Sayyiduna Othman “the possessor of shame (ḥayā’) and faith”. [But] the people of today are shameless. They yell, scream, and protest. [They think that] there is nothing to be ashamed of, nothing to be embarrassed about. These things are new teachings! But they are the exact opposite [of what is correct]. Shaytan’s method is to be shameless and without adab, and to be bad and evil. The Muslim should not listen to such things. [But nowadays,] a person who has [even] a little bit of shame or embarrassment is laughed at. In fact, sometimes people come and complain to us saying that they have a girl who is too embarrassed, too shy! This is not a bad thing! Humility is a good thing!
But these people of the End Times think that good is bad and bad is good. People and Muslims should know this first: they cannot have faith without humility and shame. May Allah make us amongst His beloved servants, insha’Allah. May we be as they were, and have adab, insha’Allah. Adab and ḥayā’ keep people away from evil. A person
becomes ashamed to do evil, because he wonders what happen if others found out about it. People without ḥayā’ do not care at all [about this]!
They do whatever they want, and they don’t care what people say or think. These say that we should have courage, and should not be ashamed of anybody, that we don’t need to be. [They ask] why should I hide anything that Allah already knows?
May Allah protect us from this. We should not mix things up. We should not do things according to our own minds and [then] make excuses for ourselves. May Allah keep us away [from such], and protect us from the evils of our ego, our nafs, Insha Allah.
Wa Minallah at-Tawfeeq, Al-Fatiha.
159.RABITA Thursday, 08 October 2020
Assalamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullah wa Barakatuh, Auzu Billahi Minashaytanir Rajeem. Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem, Wassalatu Wassalamu ala Rasulina Muhammadin Sayyidal Awwalin wal Akhirin, Madad Ya RasulAllah, Madad Ya As’habi RasulAllah, Madad Ya Mashayikhina, Shaykh Abdullah Daghestani, Shaykh Nazim Al-Haqqani. Dastur. Tariqatunas sohba, wa khayru fil jamiyya.
AlhamduliLlah, we have traveled and come back.It was a good visit. Everything that is done for the sake of Allah is good and beneficial. Things that are not done for Allah’s sake are not useful. This was a journey made for the sake of Allah. Our ihvan there were very pleased. This also is something Allah likes. What Allah likes the most is, as the Holy Prophet says,“ Qalbun surūrun fi qalbim mu’min.”
When you give happiness to the heart of a mu’min, this is what Allah likes, and then Allah is pleased with you. It had been two years, since we had been there, so our ikhwan were very happy. May Allah make their happiness last. Whatever difficulties they have, may Allah make them easily sorted out for them, insha’Allah.
It is important to be persistent and steady on this path. There may or may not be a test. But may Allah not test us, because we are not people who can be tested.
May Allah, therefore, make us firm on this path. May we be with mashayikh, insha’Allah. We need to be careful. Stay in rabita continually. Stay connected, insha’Allah. Without rabita, there is forgetfulness. So there are wazifas in order to [help you] make rabita. Everyone has his own [to do], and some have more than the others, but the most important thing is consistency, Insha Allah.
May Allah make reunion possible again. Insha Allah, we will meet some of the other ikhwan and see one another. The most important thing is to meet Mahdi, Insha Allah. May Allah accept it. May Allah protect us. May Allah give our faith strength, Insha Allah. Wa Minallah at-Tawfeeq, Al-Fatiha.
160.THE COMPANIONS OF THE CAVE Friday, 9 October 2020
Assalamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullah wa Barakatuh, Auzu Billahi Minashaytanir Rajeem. Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem, Wassalatu Wassalamu ala Rasulina Muhammadin Sayyidal Awwalin wal Akhirin, Madad Ya RasulAllah, Madad Ya As’habi RasulAllah, Madad Ya Mashayikhina, Shaykh Abdullah Daghestani, Shaykh Nazim Al-Haqqani. Dastur. Tariqatunas sohba, wa khayru fil jamiyya.
Today is Friday; it is a holy day. It is a Sunnah to recite Surah Al-Kahf today. By Allah’s permission, it protects from Dajjal and Gog and Magog in the end of times. Surah Al-Kahf tells the story of the Companions of the Cave, Aṣḥāb al-Kahf and what their state was. We were in Tarsus a day or two ago. We went to their place. They say that they are found in many places, but according to what the Mashayikh say, the place in Tarsus is the most correct. Because the place described by Allah Azza wa Jalla, both spiritually and in the Qur’an, fits perfectly to that place.
Thank Allah we went to visit. Their story is very strange. Allah Azza wa Jalla told it to people as a miracle in the Qur’an ‘Azimu sh-Shan, and it has been told in other places as well.
They were young men who had a beautiful life. They were with the king. They had nothing missing, but what was missing was that they did not recognize Allah. When they recognized Allah, everything they had was of no value to them. The king threatened them by saying, “You will either turn from your religion or I will kill you.” So they fled from that king and climbed the mountain, not knowing what to do. They took refuge in a cave to worship Allah.
Through Allah’s wisdom, and so He may save them by His grace, they slept for 309 years to set an example for the humanity that came after them. Allah laid them there and they slept. There was no food or drink.
They slept for three hundred and nine years in that state. It shows us the hereafter and also death.
Then when they got up, “How long did we sleep?” they asked each other. “We slept a little too long, I think we slept a day”, they said. There was some tiredness in their bodies. The other said: “I think we slept a little too long from tiredness, we may have slept for a few days.” However, they spent three hundred and nine years.
The dog was with them too, and nothing happened to him. “What’s up, what’s left, are they looking for us yet?”, they wondered. So they sent someone to their hometown. Then it turned out that they slept that long. It is the wisdom of Allah that Allah made them disappear.
A mosque is built in their place. Those who came after would come to faith. Those people were waiting for them and when they found them, everyone saw this miracle, and their faith got stronger. Of course, such a faith is not possible for everyone. When there is faith, nothing has value. The world’s possessions have no value. They went out of there thinking, “We would either die or save our faith.” They saved their faith and are in service until the Day of Judgment, serving all believers. Their duty is for others
There are miracles of Allah Azza wa Jalla in every minute and every second. In fact, this world, these realms, planets, these places, the skies are there by a miracle, not by itself. He showed them as a very small example. But for those who know and see, everything is a miracle of Allah. His miracles are continuous. Without a miracle, no one can be in existence, nothing can happen. There would be no movement. You have to believe in Allah and His miracles.
They say that whoever does not believe in Allah is an unbeliever; that is the issue here. Allah gave man eyes, but he does not see, he is blind. He has eyes, but he is blind because he does not see the truth. You have to see the truth. You have to hear the truth. May Allah make us from those who see, hear and believe Insha Allah.
May Allah strengthen our faith insha’Allah.
Wa Minallah at-Tawfeeq, Al-Fatiha.
