85.NOT FOR EGO Saturday, 13 June 2020

Assalamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullah wa Barakatuh, Auzu Billahi Minashaytanir Rajeem. Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem, Wassalatu Wassalamu ala Rasulina Muhammadin Sayyidal Awwalin wal Akhirin, Madad Ya RasulAllah, Madad Ya As’habi RasulAllah, Madad Ya Mashayikhina, Shaykh Abdullah Daghestani, Shaykh Nazim Al-Haqqani. Dastur. Tariqatunas sohba, wa khayru fil jamiyya. Our Holy Prophet states that if a man comes to you with flattery, throw dirt on his face, because he is targeting your ego, and the ego likes this. The Holy Prophet did not like things that the ego liked. The ego needs training. If you give your ego what it likes, it becomes wild and worse. So the Holy Prophet (SAW) said not to pay attention to those who are helping the ego, because most of the time there is some [ulterior] purpose in their mind, and that is why they are complementing you. They are flattering you, so be careful, because most of the time flattery and those complements are followed by something you may be sorry for. “Wa mā yanṭiqu ‘ani l-hawā” (Qur’ān 53:03). The Holy Prophet does not speak from desire out of thin air. Surely he said this for a good reason and from wisdom. Things that the Holy Prophet states are for the benefit of people, the benefit of Muslims, so that people may lead a good life.

The Holy Prophet does not ask for anything else, and neither do the other prophets. “Wa mā as’alukum ‘alayhi min ajr” (Qur’ān 26:109, 127, 145, 164, and 180). They do not ask for anything in return. They do it for the sake of Allah, for the training of the people, and this is our intention as well. May Allah accept it.

May Allah protect us.

Wa Minallah at-Tawfeeq, Al-Fatiha.

86.LEAVE YOUR CASE TO ALLAH Tuesday, 16 June 2020

Assalamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullah wa Barakatuh, Auzu Billahi Minashaytanir Rajeem. Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem, Wassalatu Wassalamu ala Rasulina Muhammadin Sayyidal Awwalin wal Akhirin, Madad Ya RasulAllah, Madad Ya As’habi RasulAllah, Madad Ya Mashayikhina, Shaykh Abdullah Daghestani, Shaykh Nazim Al-Haqqani. Dastur. Tariqatunas sohba, wa khayru fil jamiyya. Auzu Billahi Minashaytanir Rajeem. Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem, “Fa- satadhkurūna mā aqūlu lakum, wa-ufawwiḍu amrī ilā Llāh, inna Llāha baṣīrun bi-l-‘ibād” “And you will remember what I [now] say to you, and I entrust my affair to Allah . Indeed, Allah is Seeing of [His] servants” (Qur’ān 40:44).

Trust in Allah is the start. It is the prayer of Yaqub alaisalam. When they said that Yusuf alaisalam had died, this blessed prophet of course knew that his son was alive, but because of the pain caused by this separation, he cried so much that his eyes went blind. The sons told him,“ You do not know that Yusuf has died.”

At that time Yaqub alaisalam made this prayer, “Wa-ufawwiḍu amrī ilā Llāh, inna Llāha baṣīrun bi-l-‘ibād.” “I leave my case to Allah. Allah Almighty sees His servants, what they are going through.”

So when there is a matter even in which everything seems against you, you leave it to Allah. Allah knows everything. He knows the truth of the matter. As long as you are innocent before Allah, there is nothing to fear.

What is more important is that you keep your relationship with Allah clean, good. You might be able to fool everyone [else], but not Allah. So we need to know this truth, that Allah is with us every second and at

every breath. Do not do evil. Remain with good ones and do good, so that Allah is with you. When you do that, you will not be harmed by anyone.

Leave your case with Allah. Know that this world will always and at all times throw at you different kinds of slanders and ugly words— especially in these End Times, which are the times of fitna. To leave it to Allah is the best option, and then Allah will help you. And when He helps you, there is no need for anyone else.

“Ḥasbunā Llāhu wa-ni‘ma l- wakīl, ni‘ma l-mawlā, wa-ni‘ma n-naṣīr” (dua). There is none other than Him, no one better than Him or more powerful to help. Even if the whole world is against you, as long as Allah is with you there is no problem, no worry or issue, no fear.

May Allah be with us, insha’Allah. May our hearts be pure. May we be amongst who are with Him. May we be amongst the true and clean ones.

Wa Minallah at-Tawfeeq, Al-Fatiha.

87.HALAL RIZQ Wednesday, 17 June 2020

Assalamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullah wa Barakatuh, Auzu Billahi Minashaytanir Rajeem. Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem, Wassalatu Wassalamu ala Rasulina Muhammadin Sayyidal Awwalin wal Akhirin, Madad Ya RasulAllah, Madad Ya As’habi RasulAllah, Madad Ya Mashayikhina, Shaykh Abdullah Daghestani, Shaykh Nazim Al-Haqqani. Dastur. Tariqatunas sohba, wa khayru fil jamiyya. Auzu Billahi Minashaytanir Rajeem. Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem, “...wa Allāhu yarzuqu man yashā’u bi-ghayri ḥisāb” (Qur’ān 2:12 and 24:38) (“Allah provides rizq to whomever He will without any accounting.”)

Allah Almighty says in the holy ayah that He gives rizq to whomever He wills without having to answer to anyone. So we should not be worried about our provision. Everybody has been assigned however much to earn and consume and breathe. It is all written. It is not going to be more or less than that.

It is assigned by Allah, and therefore we need to search out our provision in permissible, halal ways. Halal is the most important thing [in this matter], the greatest. It is not only for you, but for your children and family, for your wife. It provides benefit to the whole family. On the other hand, whoever receives it in forbidden haram ways will find it of no use and a harm to people.

In the minds of today’s people this is not something real. They do not pay attention to this matter at all. As long as money comes in, it does not matter [to them how]. Of course, what is haram money is clearly known, just as halal is. When there is something doubtful, you should stay away from what is doubtful.

May Allah open the eye of the heart so that we are able to distinguish haram from halal. May Allah help us know, Insha Allah. May Allah give us what is halal. May we stay away from what is haram. May we be provided and fed with halal, and may we feed our families with halal. May Allah help us all and help the Muslims. May He strengthen our faith.

Wa Minallah at-Tawfeeq, Al-Fatiha.

88.BE TRUSTWORTHY Sunday, 21 June 2020

Assalamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullah wa Barakatuh, Auzu Billahi Minashaytanir Rajeem. Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem, Wassalatu Wassalamu ala Rasulina Muhammadin Sayyidal Awwalin wal Akhirin, Madad Ya RasulAllah, Madad Ya As’habi RasulAllah, Madad Ya Mashayikhina, Shaykh Abdullah Daghestani, Shaykh Nazim Al-Haqqani. Dastur. Tariqatunas sohba, wa khayru fil jamiyya. Our Holy Prophet was known as “Muhammad al-Amin” before Islam. It means a trustworthy person. He was known to be trustworthy in every way. Even after he became a prophet, if they were going somewhere they would leave their possessions as a trust with him even though they were enemies, and he would hand them over later. Him delivering the possesstions is not important, what is important is being trustworthy in delivering the orders and revelations from Allah Azza wa Jalla to people.

In his last breath, our Holy Prophet said, “O God, I have delivered (the message)”. He conveyed what was said faithfully to people. He did not hide anything given, he did not say anything incomplete.

Therefore, this is important. You should be open with people, especially with scholars, teachers and Mashayikh. You should not hide anything from people. You should not hide some things and show some things according to your own ego. Then you will become like the Jews. Allah Azza wa Jalla says in the Qur’ān ‘Aẓīmu sh-Shān: Disclosing [some of] it and concealing much.” (Qur’ān 06:91). They hide most things and say little. A person who knows the knowledge of religion, the knowledge of the Shari’ah and the knowledge of the Tariqa must be clean, and he has to be like our Holy Prophet. At first he must be trustworthy, he must not cheat or deceive anyone. This must be mostly among our Wakīls (representatives). The Wakīl should not obey his ego, they should control their desires.

Shaykh Abdullah ad-Daghestani used to say “Shahwatul Ḥalāl”, Ḥalāl desire. Meaning you must abstain even from what is Ḥalāl, not just the Harām. How does this happen? It happens. In some things you say “It is Ḥalāl, I can do it”, but that Ḥalāl may harm you, and it could harm others also. Therefore, this is an important matter. It can disturb our peace most of the time, we should be careful. Our Holy Prophet says in the Hadith Sharif: “I have not left after me a greater Fitnah other than women.” Therefore, this is the greatest weakness of people; Shahwatul Harām (Harām desire) and Shahwatul Ḥalāl (Ḥalāl desire). The haram is known, but they are doing the Ḥalāl according to their own minds. We should pay attention to this. Many people slip because of this matter. People also approach them comfortably thinking they are trustworthy, but when they betray, they would not be following the path of our Holy Prophet. Our Holy Prophet never hid anything or did things in secret. We do not hide, everything is clear. Therefore, we should be careful.

Try not to make others go and complain to the Shaykh. The greatest sadness of the Shaykh is these things. This applies to everyone. We should be very careful of this. May Allah not make us follow our ego and be left to our ego

Wa Minallah at-Tawfeeq, Al-Fatiha.

89.TIME IS VALUABLE Tuesday, 23 June 2020

Assalamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullah wa Barakatuh, Auzu Billahi Minashaytanir Rajeem. Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem, Wassalatu Wassalamu ala Rasulina Muhammadin Sayyidal Awwalin wal Akhirin, Madad Ya RasulAllah, Madad Ya As’habi RasulAllah, Madad Ya Mashayikhina, Shaykh Abdullah Daghestani, Shaykh Nazim Al-Haqqani. Dastur. Tariqatunas sohba, wa khayru fil jamiyya. Days pass by. These days are valuable things given by Allah to people. They are the most valuable things. Because if it is gold, money or something else, you can replace it, but you cannot replace the days and time. The time that has passed has passed, it does not come back whether you give a million, a billion or a trillion. Therefore, this is a very valuable thing, but people waste and kill time. Ignorant people see it as something useless or worthless.

As we said, you cannot replace the time that has passed, but everything can be done in the sight of Allah. For the things you can’t do, you can start by making an intention for it. Then if you do it, Allah will write you the reward according to your intention, and all your time will be valuable.

A person who is with Allah and follows the path of Allah Jalla Jalāluhu and our Holy Prophet, appreciates the value of his time. Otherwise, whatever you do is worthless. The two of them must be together. The love of Allah Azza wa Jalla must be in the heart.

If you have a work to be done in this world, when it is done for the sake of Allah the time becomes valuable. Otherwise, let them sit and cry. “We didn’t do anything We couldn’t do them”, there are many people who say so. They cry because they couldn’t do something. But they are sad and they cry for what they couldn’t do for this world. The older they get,

the more their morale deteriorates and the worse they become. But as a Muslim gets older, he is more grateful to Allah. And Allah gives more mercy to those people. They say that when one reaches the age of eighty, he becomes Allah frees him. A person who spends his whole life in the obedience of Allah, Allah sets him free. Allah Azza wa Jalla says to the angels, “Do not write down his sins. Therefore, his time becomes valuable, not wasted.

May Allah make us give value to things that have real value. And may we not give value to these useless things such as useless tin, glass and jewelry insha’Allah. May Allah protect us. May Allah give us a good life and good days with the obedience of Allah, His love, and the love of our Holy Prophet Insha Allah.

Wa Minallah at-Tawfeeq, Al-Fatiha.

90.THE PARTIAL WILL Saturday, 27 June 2020

Assalamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullah wa Barakatuh, Auzu Billahi Minashaytanir Rajeem. Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem, Wassalatu Wassalamu ala Rasulina Muhammadin Sayyidal Awwalin wal Akhirin, Madad Ya RasulAllah, Madad Ya As’habi RasulAllah, Madad Ya Mashayikhina, Shaykh Abdullah Daghestani, Shaykh Nazim Al-Haqqani. Dastur. Tariqatunas sohba, wa khayru fil jamiyya. Allah Azza wa Jalla gives people the most precious things. Allah Azza wa Jalla gives everything, and tells us to take what we want. He gave us what they call the partial will to do so. Therefore, you can’t say, “How come Allah does this?” Allah does what he wants, and no one can ask Him. People of today want to ask everything, and they think they are smart. The person asking this question is stupid.

Allah Azza wa Jalla gave the will to people. And with that will, they can take what is good or what is bad. Allah Azza wa Jalla knows its wisdom, it is known in His sight. But it is a favor of Allah that everyone does things by choice. A person who follows his ego does not choose the good, he chooses the bad. The ego never wants the good. It is Allah’s wisdom. Allah created man’s ego that way.

The ego chooses the bad. You should train it with your will so that it can take the good and leave the bad. Whatever is bad, such as bad manners, bad actions and evils, are all from the ego and from the shaytan.

Therefore, thinking whether Allah willed it that way - Allah Azza wa Jalla willed it but you cannot interfere with Allah’s work. Allah showed us the way, showed us the good and showed us the bad. And everything is from people. Because people can choose the good or the bad. May Allah grant us to choose good things and help us. We ask for help because help is from Allah. If you ask for help, Allah will help you. But if you forget Allah

and stay away from Allah, then you will go wherever your ego takes you and you will do bad things.

May Allah protect us. May Allah grant us success in doing good works Insha Allah.

Wa Minallah at-Tawfeeq, Al-Fatiha.

91.CALAMITY OR AFFLICTION Sunday, 28 June 2020

Assalamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullah wa Barakatuh, Auzu Billahi Minashaytanir Rajeem. Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem, Wassalatu Wassalamu ala Rasulina Muhammadin Sayyidal Awwalin wal Akhirin, Madad Ya RasulAllah, Madad Ya As’habi RasulAllah, Madad Ya Mashayikhina, Shaykh Abdullah Daghestani, Shaykh Nazim Al-Haqqani. Dastur. Tariqatunas sohba, wa khayru fil jamiyya. It has been about a week since the month of Dhu al-Qi’dah started. Dhu al-Qi’dah is one of Ashhur al-Hurum, the Sacred Months and from the months of Ḥajj. Allah has made these months Haram, so there is no war in them. Allah Azza wa Jalla gives people an opportunity to get along well. Some people don’t realize it, some don’t care. Those months have more blessings and are more virtuous. Even Khalwa (seclusion) can be done in it. Khalwa is performed for forty days, from the first of Dhu al- Qi’dah to the tenth of Dhul-Hijjah. But people know it more to be done in Rajab. Therefore, this is a blessed month.

Ḥajj has been strange this year. By the wisdom of Allah, Allah gave people something to come to their senses, he gave them an affliction. Sometimes it’s either an affliction or a calamity. For believers, it is an affliction. But for unbelievers, it is a calamity so that they can come to their senses. At first some were cautious, after that they did not care anymore. But Allah Azza wa Jalla always warns people in order to come to their senses.

We live in the end of times, and our reward is great. Whether it was a disease or an earthquake, all these things happen to warn people. We did not come here for nothing. This place has an owner. We do not live in vain. Allah warns people and gives them something to come to their senses. There is a benefit in everything that Allah gives. Even if it seems bad, it will often be beneficial for people. As long as we recognize

Allah,we don’t care about the whole world. If you have nothing or the whole world is yours ,as long as you are with Allah, both are the same.

May Allah protect the Islamic world and Muslims for the blessings of this blessed month, and guide the others and those who stray from the path. May Allah make it blessed Insha Allah.

This year, Ḥajjis (pilgrims) will not be able to go, it is forbidden. It has become compulsory for them to cancel the Ḥajj. This should be a lesson for them, but the people there do not seem to be taking a lesson. They say, “We will choose according to quotas, elections or raffles.” Anyways, it is an invalid thing from the very beginning.

Since every year they do not take some people, Allah will punish them for every person they did not take. Because that place doesn’t belong to them, it belongs to Allah. Allah’s door is open, it is impossible for them to close it. It will be good for them this year since they have an excuse. But Allah will punish them for not accepting them every year. They will be punished for every person they ban from Ḥajj, because it is not known whether a person will live or not.

May Allah help us Insha Allah and give strength to our faith. As long as we have faith, nothing else matters. May Allah keep us steadfast on the right path. Amin.

Wa Minallah at-Tawfeeq, Al-Fatiha.

92.KEEP YOUR PRAYERS Monday, 29 June 2020

Assalamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullah wa Barakatuh, Auzu Billahi Minashaytanir Rajeem. Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem, Wassalatu Wassalamu ala Rasulina Muhammadin Sayyidal Awwalin wal Akhirin, Madad Ya RasulAllah, Madad Ya As’habi RasulAllah, Madad Ya Mashayikhina, Shaykh Abdullah Daghestani, Shaykh Nazim Al-Haqqani. Dastur. Tariqatunas sohba, wa khayru fil jamiyya. Auzu Billahi Minashaytanir Rajeem. Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem, Allah ‘Azza wa Jalla says in the Qur’an ‘Azimu sh-Shan: ‘Guard strictly the [obligatory] prayers and [in particular] the middle prayer and stand before Allah, devoutly obedient.’ He says, “Pay attention to the prayers. Keep the prayers. Do not be without prayer, especially the middle prayer.”

Some people think that the middle prayer is the Asr prayer, but it is basically the Fajr prayer, Allah knows. There is a wisdom in everything. Because when it is not clear, you should keep both the Asr prayer and the Fajr prayer, and the prayers in between also. This is timely in Allah’s sight. Every prayer has its time, and it must be performed at that time. Some pray three times a day; they combine Dhuhr and Asr prayers together, and Maghrib and Isha prayers together. This is for those who are traveling, according to Shafiʽi or other Madhhabs. It is not for those who are not traveling. There is a time. Prayer is five times a day. Allah has made it Fard (obligatory) for people to pray five times a day. It was made Fard when our Holy Prophet ascended [to heaven] during Mi‘rāj. It was reduced from fifty times to five times.

The time of each prayer is different, and it is not possible to pass the time unless it’s necessary. Sometimes they become obliged to do that in countries of disbelief or in other circumstances. May Allah forgive us. Then, it will become as Qaḍā’ prayer (missed prayer). If you pass its

time, the value of the Qaḍā’ prayer is not even equal to one in a million of the value of the prayer on time. Therefore, the time is important. Now, these new scholars have showed up, making judgments according to their own minds and trying to change the times, hours and worship that Allah has made obligatory. They’re just trying in vain. Whoever does that is at loss, at a great loss.

Of course, the missed prayers performed while alive do not remain for the hereafter, but their virtue is much less. So instead of someone giving you gold for your goods, they give you tin and things of no value. You will still sell your goods, but the main profit is when you do it on time. If you can’t, you should ask Allah for forgiveness. You should not do things according to your own mind. As we said, the Fard has its own time, and there are Sunnahs and Nafilahs; all of them have their time. There are prayers performed at night, there are prayers performed during the day, there are Fards and there are Sunnahs. It is for your benefit to perform the Fards together with their Sunnahs, and to perform them together with their Adab (practices). Allah does not need your worship. We are saying it again; we say that every time. People say, “I prayed for Allah.” It is for Allah, but it is for your own benefit. Prayer is for Allah, but the benefit is for you; there is no benefit for Allah.

May Allah not deprive us from prayer and make us love prayer. May we not miss the time of prayers Insha Allah.

Wa Minallah at-Tawfeeq, Al-Fatiha.

93.EVERYTHING IS FOR ALLAH Wednesday, 1 July 2020

Assalamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullah wa Barakatuh, Auzu Billahi Minashaytanir Rajeem. Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem, Wassalatu Wassalamu ala Rasulina Muhammadin Sayyidal Awwalin wal Akhirin, Madad Ya RasulAllah, Madad Ya As’habi RasulAllah, Madad Ya Mashayikhina, Shaykh Abdullah Daghestani, Shaykh Nazim Al-Haqqani. Dastur. Tariqatunas sohba, wa khayru fil jamiyya. Allah Almighty says in the Holy Quran, in a verse about Ibrahim, Auzu Billahi Minashaytanir Rajeem. Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem, “Qul inna ṣalātī wa nusukī wa maḥyāya wa mamātī li-Llāhi Rabbi -l-‘ālamīn, lā şarīka lahu, wa bi-dhālika umirtu wa anā awwalu l-muslimīn,” which means, “Say, ‘Indeed, my salat, my rites of sacrifice, my living and my dying, are for Allah, the Lord of the Worlds. And with this have I been commanded, and I am the first of the those who have submitted” (Qur’ān 6:162- 163). My salah, everything that is mine, is for Allah. My life and my death are both for Allah.

This is a lesson for mankind. This is Allah’s order. If you obey this order, then you may then relax, but otherwise one might wonder what business one has here and drift away from the path by not knowing what to do. Everything is for Allah. As long as we are with Allah during our lifetime, whatever is other than this is not important. There is no guarantee that everything will continue following down the same path [as we are used to]. There is no guarantee for that. The only guarantee is that whatever you do, [you should] do it for Allah. Everything is for Allah. My salat, intentions, charity, zaqat—are all for Allah.

If everything a man does, he does because Allah has ordered it, and due to his love for Allah, then he becomes a true Muslim like Ibrahim. Allah helps him then, and even if he falls into fire, he will be saved. The state of this world is bad. The entire world does not know what to do, and all are

in confusion, but those with Allah are not bothered by this. What is happening is the order of Allah, and as long as He wills it, no one can stand against it.

May Allah not inflict us with such things, but if He does, as long as we are with Him, nothing shall go wrong. There is no such thing as living on earth forever. Eternity is after death, and then real life begins. Live a life for ten, twenty, or hundred or hundred and fifty years—what does it matter? You will eventually die, for there is no permanent way to stay on earth.

So those with Allah are relaxed; those with strong faith are not bothered by things. [But] for strong faith one must be in the path of truth, and one must be with a guide in order to hold onto a strong faith.

This does not happen in a school. In schools there is information missing, and when education is not complete, it causes troubles and ruins things. Those are wiser who do not attend [such] schools. Without a person’s having a guide, those schools make his faith worse.

May Allah protect us. We are in difficult days, and the number of those faithless has increased. May Allah protect us. May Allah increase our faith, Insha Allah.

Wa Minallah at-Tawfeeq, Al-Fatiha.

94.ALLAH’S BELOVED SERVANTS Thursday, 2 July 2020

Assalamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullah wa Barakatuh, Auzu Billahi Minashaytanir Rajeem. Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem, Wassalatu Wassalamu ala Rasulina Muhammadin Sayyidal Awwalin wal Akhirin, Madad Ya RasulAllah, Madad Ya As’habi RasulAllah, Madad Ya Mashayikhina, Shaykh Abdullah Daghestani, Shaykh Nazim Al-Haqqani. Dastur. Tariqatunas sohba, wa khayru fil jamiyya. There are beloved servants of Allah towards whom we should show respect, whom we should appreciate, because they are rare people. Most of the time people think of them as ordinary and talk ill about them knowingly or unknowingly. Those uttered words harm people, because they are Satanic slanderings. When those who follow him accept these words and spread them around, such becomes a cause of fitna. On top of that, when a beloved servant of Allah is mistreated, certainly Allah punishes those people.

This has been the same since the time of our holy Prophet, as also since the time of Adam alaisalam. Satan bothers people. He does not like good people; he wishes to do evil against good people. So this is a serious matter about which we should take care. This is why Allah says in a hadith qudsi, “Against whomever starts a war against my beloved servant, I myself start a war and fight.” No one can defeat Allah; Allah is forever victories.

So may Allah help us recognize His beloved servants, so that we do not fall in error, and do not afflict them but rather respect them. Those who respect them, respect Allah, as they are the honorable ones of Allah.

May Allah protect us from doing evil, Insha Allah. Wa Minallah at-Tawfeeq, Al-Fatiha.

95.LITERATE BUT IGNORANT Friday, 3 July 2020

Assalamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullah wa Barakatuh, Auzu Billahi Minashaytanir Rajeem. Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem, Wassalatu Wassalamu ala Rasulina Muhammadin Sayyidal Awwalin wal Akhirin, Madad Ya RasulAllah, Madad Ya As’habi RasulAllah, Madad Ya Mashayikhina, Shaykh Abdullah Daghestani, Shaykh Nazim Al-Haqqani. Dastur. Tariqatunas sohba, wa khayru fil jamiyya. Auzu Billahi Minashaytanir Rajeem. Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem, “Innahu kāna ẓalūmān jahūlā” (Qur’ān 33:72). Allah ‘azza wa jalla says,“ Indeed he is an oppressor and ignorant.” A man must train himself and remove these attributes from his being. If they are not removed, a man causes oppression (i.e., of his own soul and well as others’), behaves ignorantly, and does not accept the truth. He does not even come close to doing good.

Allah Almighty created mankind so. He sent them prophets, awliya, spiritual guides, scholars. It is a fact that first of all a man causes oppression to himself. Whatever evil or difficulty there is is caused by the man himself. He has to learn not to cause oppression. He has to be intelligent in order to be able to say this is not the right way. Anyone who thinks oppression is a good thing is ignorant. That is why Allah calls him ignorant. Which means extremely ignorant, excessively oppressive. This is not something to learn [to get rid of] through education. Ignorance does not end.

What is taught today in the education system is not true knowledge. They teach ignorance, and so the ignorant becomes even more ignorant, and an oppressor who oppresses himself. He does not accept Allah. The more people receive education today, the more they stray from the path. “We opened a new university, did this, did that...” They are proud for opening a new university as a deed [as if by] the wisdom of Allah. But the ignorant

people who study at these universities [then turn around and actually] oppress them, are ungrateful to them, disobey them, and are corrupting the whole world.

May Allah protect us. May Allah bestow intelligence, faculty of thinking to us. May Allah protect us and provide us strong faith.

Wa Minallah at-Tawfeeq, Al-Fatiha.

96.TO BE READY FOR WHAT IS IN THE FUTURE Saturday, 4 July 2020

Assalamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullah wa Barakatuh, Auzu Billahi Minashaytanir Rajeem. Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem, Wassalatu Wassalamu ala Rasulina Muhammadin Sayyidal Awwalin wal Akhirin, Madad Ya RasulAllah, Madad Ya As’habi RasulAllah, Madad Ya Mashayikhina, Shaykh Abdullah Daghestani, Shaykh Nazim Al-Haqqani. Dastur. Tariqatunas sohba, wa khayru fil jamiyya. It is said,“ Kullu ātin qarib,” and that means, “What is coming is near.” Let it come after in ten or twenty years’ time, [still] what is coming is near. How? Time goes by in the blink of an eye, and life comes to its end. So the future is near.

Whether you are patient or not, it will come, and you have to be prepared. How should one be ready for the future? One is ready by being on the path of the holy Prophet, by obeying the orders of Allah. Otherwise, we are not ever prepared. What then comes in the future catches you, and then you leave [this life] in loss and grief. May Allah protect us from such! Saying,“ I am still too young,” and neglecting one’s duties is not a wise thing. Practices done at a young age are more acceptable.

There is old age and there is youth. For comparison, it is like fresh fruits and vegetables. One becomes creased and useless thing. He can still barely make it, but it can never be as it was in youth, and so one must make use of the opportunity given by youthfulness and stay on this path. To be on the path of Allah is the greatest rizq and a virtue. It is beauty, grace, and goodness to keep up one’s life while training his ego. Otherwise, one’s life is wasted, and then becomes a useless life. Where we and others will end up is in the Next World.

This is why one must be cautious. One must take precautions by being with Allah, and by remembering at every given moment that the future

is near, and that to make sure that one’s end is good, one must do all that is good.

May Allah have us successful. May He protect us from our ego. May He strengthen our faith, Insha Allah.

Wa Minallah at-Tawfeeq, Al-Fatiha.
