Who is going to be on that place are not common people, but aristocracy attending for malik’s presence. For example, they have been invited to a royal reception and until His Majesty, the King arrives, they are not sitting. Why? Because high-level protocol people do not sit down before His Majesty comes, and they honor him (by remaining standing). O Salafi `ulamas! Also, if you are there you are also not sitting! You are also fearing from jalaalatu ‘l-malik to see you sitting! It is okay to remain standing because you are waiting for His Majesty to arrive. You are saying it is adab for such a meeting, to meet His Majesty, the King. Even for such a meeting it is permitted, but can you, Salafi `ulamas, be there if you are not sitting, waiting for jalaalatuh to come? You are saying it is high respect to the highest one in this kingdom. So, you are knowing everything! But if anyone is standing up for the holy name of the Seal of Prophets (s), you say it is bida`, haraam, shirk, kufr! From where did you learn such foolish ideas? I never heard a Wahabi person invited for a reception and sitting before His Majesty, the King arrived. this tradition came? Am I bringing it from my pocket to you? From where I am bringing? Stand up for the Seal of Prophets, Sayyidina Muhammad (s)! (Mawlana Shaykh stands) You know this! You have been granted more honor, more power (Mawlana Shaykh sits) because of the most beloved one (s). During the Night Journey, it has been related that the Seal of Prophets (s) said, “I met some angels during the Night Journey; they never sat, only they stood and glorified Allah Almighty.” Yusaabihoon Allah qiyaaman mundhu khalaqahum Allah jalla wa `ala, “The angels are glorifying Allah since the time Allah created them.” (From this we know) anyone who stands for the Most Honored Name of our Lord, “Allah,” that is t`azheem, glorifying, to give their highest respect. Angels are standing throughout their lives, since the day their Lord created them, glorifying the Majesty of their Creator. And their Creator, the Lord of all Creation, is happy that they are standing up and giving their highest glorifying. There is in Shari`ah, qiyaas, an analogy, and this hadith shareef: man tashabbaha bi-qawmin fahuwa minhum. Who imitates a people is one of them. Yes, if we are making an analogy, look at the angels standing up! If we are standing up and giving our most high respects, it is a refused thing? Why you are not saying? You are saying it is bida`. You stand until His Majesty, the King arrives; what is the heavenly judgment for that? Why you are not saying, "He is just like us and we are not going to stand up." Why? Do it! O Wahabi People! You do it also. If waiters carry you by your ears outside, you will be very happy. (laughs)

And secondly, the Seal of Prophets (s) was seeing on another level of Heavens, angels who are always in ruku, never standing up. But they are making ruku when our Lord's Name is mentioned (Mawlana stands and bows in ruku`). “O our Lord.” You are saying, “Just angels. Bida`! No signs from Shari`ah.” You are not understanding Shari`ah! (Mawlana Shaykh sits) And you are not believing in the Night Journey. If you are believing in the Night Journey, you may look and know there were countless angels glorifying their Lord in ruku`. We may do that when His Holy Name is declared; it is for us to make ruku`, to bow. Angels are making and we can do also. And thirdly, the Seal of Prophets (s) was looking on a level of Heavens, angels who are all in sajda, bowing, never taking up their heads. If we are making or bowing ourselves for glorifying our Lord, how can you say, “That is bida`; we never saw such a thing in shari`atullah," and you are understanding shari`atullah? Study the Night Journey; try to learn deep meanings of what is going to be granted through Ummat al-Habeeb. Therefore, we are weak and standing up (for that honor) and you also know that! O Salafi `ulamas! I am saying, but I am ashamed to say, that you know. You don’t know; you know nothing. All your followers are from Wahabi no-mind people, who never taste the glorifying of Allah (swt) that is granted to one: the most beloved in the Divinely Presence, most honored one. You can't carry this; your understanding is to say only that “Say: ‘I am a man like you.’”? Qul innama ana basharun mithlukum yooha 'ilayya. Say (O Prophet), "I am but a mortal man like all of you." Ana basharun mithlukum. Yes. Mithlukum, what does it mean? Why you are not saying to your jalaalatuh, “You are like us. Stand up, and we will sit on your chair!” Why you are not saying to him, “Get up! Stand up. We may sit also a little bit.” Yet he is carrying something that you are not granted. He had been granted the dress of king. You are not dressed with that dressing, that jalaalatu ’l-malik wears, which gives honor to him; without that you and him are on the same level. But when he is dressed in it, you can’t say, “You are like us. Let us sit on your throne.” Those Wahabi no-mind people have not been granted any understanding. They are saying: Wa maa Muhammad illa rasool, And Muhammad is nothing except a Prophet. (an-Nisaa, 4:28) Qul innama 'ana basharun mithlukum yooha 'ilayya. Ahlu’l-Sunnah wa’l-Jama`ah is on the wrong way and you are on the Right Way? qul haatoo burhanakum, “Say, ‘Bring your proof!’” (2:111) You are making big fitna throughout the ummah, and Allah (swt) is going to punish you, here and Hereafter! Beware! O Salafi `ulamas! (Mawlana Shaykh stands) Whatever the Seal of Prophets, Sayyidina Muhammad (s), said, is it not a hadith, or am I bringing it from my pockets to you? `Alaykum bi ’s-sawaadi ’l-`azham. Keep to the vast majority. (Mawlana Shaykh sits) You know the meaning of this? For what? How many people are we and how many people are following you up to today? And now you are going to be taken away from maydanu ’l-`ilm, “the field of knowledge,” and from every direction you will be attacked! Say, defend yourselves, haatoo burhaanukum, that we are on the wrong way and you are on the Right Way! You can’t do it because our Prophet (s) said, `Alaykum bi ’s-sawaadi ’l-`azham, “Where there is big mass of my nation, join them and follow them." You are only a handful people (compared to the majority)! You are not even two hands, and although you have every material possibility, still you can’t bring anyone as a believer in you! Only with your riyals, dollars, dirhams, or gold you may attract some foolish ones to you and you are will blow your golden trumpet (as if it is a great feat)! O Allah! O Allah! O Allah jalla jalaalahu. We must correct our beliefs and understandings, and follow the big mass of Ahl as-Sunnah wa ’l-Jama`ah. You cannot say anything against Ahl as-Sunnah wal-Jama`ah `ulama.

But I am sorry that doctors of Shari`ah and `ulama Azhari ’sh-shareef are not standing up to defend Ahl as- Sunnah wa ’l-Jama`ah, and they will be punished also. I am only a small servant, trying to defend Ahl as-Sunnah wal-Jama`ah. Why those Azhari ’sh-shareef `ulamas are writing so many books? If there is no pillow, put (their boks) under your head and sleep on them! Why you are writing? What you are saying? Why you are not fighting, jihaad fee sabeelillah, struggling in the Way of Allah (swt), to defend haqeeqatu ’l-Islam, “Real Islam”. If you are not doing that, noor will be taken from your faces and a darkness will come. Then, at your last moment, you will look like some other creature and a bad smell will come from you, and people will run from you. O `ulama Ahl as-Sunnah wal-Jama`ah! Stand up and fight against Shaytan and shatanic ideas! That is all. They are making me to repeat daily, until Ahl as-Sunnah wal-Jama`ah `ulama wake up!! They must know what we are doing, and know about those Wahabi people, who are very terrible for Islam. But Islam is a tower that no one can destroy. Truth has the Power to Touch Your Heart..
Every night you can see the shining planet of Venus and the moon. If you claim to see someone clearly on Venus, but not to see a thing on the moon, can that be accepted by positive knowledge? How is it possible that people see more clarity in Jesus Christ* who was 2000 years ago, when everything they know has been passed on to them through books? Why would the knowledge of another miraculous person, which has been brought to them in the same way, claiming that he too is a prophet, be ignored? Did their books come from Heavens, or were they written by men? Were the Gospels written by angels without a mistake? Can the mind accept why one is acceptable and the other one isn't? We believe in Jesus*, in Moses*, in the Old Testament and the New Testament without losing our faith. But they say, that if they would believe in Muhammad* they would lose their faith. Why? Jewish people refuse both: Jesus Christ* and Sayyidina Muhammad*? What was wrong with Jesus Christ*? He was from their tribe, he was from the Children of Israel, he was a practising Jew! Why did the Jews attack him? They are still refusing him! What was wrong with Muhammad*? Why are they fighting him? There is no reason. They are accepting all prophets, except Jesus Christ* and Sayyidina Muhammad*! Christians are accepting all prophets, including Moses* and the Old Testament, but they are refusing Sayyidina Muhammad*. What is the reason? Thora. He also respected all other prophets, telling his people to believe in them. But neither Christians nor Jews respect our religion. If Allah will give a judgement to all of this, what would it be? Would He say that they gave their best? If you refuse someone who is respecting you? This is why the power of Christianity has stopped. It cannot give any spirituality to the hearts of people. On my way from Barcelona to here, there were so many monasteries. But they are empty, they are dead monasteries. Even the churches are for sale. What does it mean? People are not interested. Many new villages in Europe are now being built without churches. People go to cathedrals like they go to museums: to see old paintings. That is not what it was meant for. But still the heads of Christianity are not accepting Islam as a religion, as part of the same religion! It doesn't matter. If anyone wants to accept that Muhammad* is a Prophet of Allah, or not, is up to them. To be in safety you must accept all. If a Christian or Jew now says, "La illa'ha il la'Llah, Muhammadu rasul Allah" and becomes a Muslim, he will neither lose his Christianity nor the fact that he is from the tribe of Moses. We are not disputing that Jesus* is the spirit of Allah, nor that Moses* represents the Word of Allah. TRUTH OF TARIQAT and THE NAQSHABANDI ORDER The ways of real faith, the ways that our Holy Prophet Muhammad (Sal) showed us through Abu Bakr as-Siddiq (ral) and Seyyidina Ali (ral) and which were passed down through the Companions (Sahaba) of the Prophet Muhammad (sal) and Awliya (saints) to us are known as the Way of the Tariqats. While Shariah teaches us worship, Tariqat teaches us the way to keep Adab (good manners) with our Lord and to attain to His Divine Presence. There are two kinds of Iman, faith. One is real and the other is imitative. The real brings light to the heart of a person, until then he is only imitating faith. The signs of real faith are three. The first is the ability to listen to the tasbih ( Zikr – paying praise and respects to their Lord) of all creatures. According to Quran there is nothing in existence that does not do tasbih (glorify the Lord), not even inanimate objects. The second is Allah’s opening of his heart to the fountain of wisdom, giving knowledge of all things in existence, their position and their purpose. Thirdly, there are no more veils between him and Barzakh, the heavenly worlds. He may meet anyone – any Prophet or Saint from Barzakh without hindrance. Until these three signs appear know that you are veiled and not open to the light of Iman. Tariqats are preparing Murids (follerwers) for real faith. The meaning of Murid is one who is asking for real faith. The Prophet (Sal) said to keep religion in this time is more difficult than keeping burning coal in one’s hand. We must be patient in the face of adversity. Allah gives to those who are enduring disliked trials, endless reward. This is the way of real faith, like the way of Prophets and Awliya, to endure the badness of people.

There are many veils between us and our heavenly positions. The training that a Murid undergoes at the hands of his Sheikh is to prepare him for the Divine Presence. As the Murid passes each trial, veils are removed by his Sheikh until finally all veils are removed and the Murid is in the Divine Presence. Only someone who has attained to the Divine Presence and has been authorized by the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Sal) has the knowledge to remove these veils. Therefore, in Order for one to attain to the Divine Presence, one must give allegiance to the Sheikh of a Tariqat by taking Bayyath (Connection or Oath of Allegiance) from him and follow his teachings. When a Murid obeys his Sheikh’s every command, in doing so he would be passing all the trials given to him and thereby achieving a position of trust with his Sheikh. When the Sheikh finds the Murid trustworthy, he rends the veils between the Murid and the Divine Presence. When each veil is removed the Murid is treated to a new experience where new horizons of knowledge are made available to him. With the removal of each veil also comes Certainty (yakeen). The Murid’s faith becomes established in this manner and continues to do so until he completely submits to the will of Allah Almighty. All Tariqats are ways to the Divine Presence. The Sheikh of a Tariqat is able to communicate with his Sheikh who is able to communicate with his Sheikh and so on till the end of the chain where the first Sheikh of the Tariqat is in communication with the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Sal). The Sheikh is also directly in communication with the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Sal). In addition to this, in attaining the Divine Presence the Sheikh was given higher and secret knowledge. By this method the Sheikh has perfect guidance in everything. We are in darkness and in need of lights, the light of Prophethood to inform us what is ahead generally, and the light of Sainthood to guide us to our personal destinations. Our destination is Heaven. We can’t see it unless by a distinguished Order from Allah and His Prophet (sal). Reality is a precious thing, not given to many. Naqshabandi Tariqat. The Holy Prophet (Sal) said of the last times that, the only gate open would be the gate of Abu Bakr as-Siddiq (Ral) which is the origin of the Naqshabandi Tariqat. During the Hijra (migration) of the Holy Prophet (Sal) he was accompanied by Abu Bakr as-Siddiq (ral) to Medina, they took refuge in the cave of “Thaur” from their antagonists. While in the cave, Abu Bakr as-Siddiq (ral) in utmost fear for the plight of Islam, said to the Holy Prophet (sal) “our enemies are so many and we are only two”. The Holy Prophet (Sal) replied “No, we are three”. He meant that apart from the two of them there was also Allah Most High. At which instant was heard a myriad of voices saying “Allahu Allahu Allahu Haqq” which is the Oath of Allegiance to the Naqshabandi Tariqat. This was the birth of the Naqshabandi Tariqat. At this moment Abu Bakr as Siddiq (ral) summoned the spirits of all those who were chosen on the Day of Promises to be the 7007 Imams of the Naqshabandi Tariqat into the cave. They in turn summoned the souls of all those who were chosen to be their Murids on the Day of Promises into the cave. The myriad of voices in the cave belonged to the souls of all future followers of the Naqshabandi Tariqat and who were with Allah Most High at that instant. Only those who were present in the cave of “Thaur” on that day would be destined to become followers of the most distinguished Naqshabandi Tariqat from that time till “Qiyama”. The Naqshabandi Order originated in the Heart of the Prophet Muhammad (sal), and its authority was passed down through Abu Bakr (ral) from one Master to the next in an unbroken chain of succession reaching into our time. To the heart of Abu Bakr (ral), the first Khalipha, the Prophet passed on the full inner truth of his teachings. Since Abu Bakr, among all the Prophet’s (sal) companions, was the only one to receive the full inner truth from the Prophet’s heart, the Naqshabandi Order inherits the fullest and finest of these Prophetic teachings. For as the Holy Prophet, in a well-known tradition, said: “Everything that has been poured into my heart I have poured into the heart of Abu Bakr”. Abu Bakr (ral) was called “Siddiq” or “The Completely Veracious One”.

The station of “Siddiq” is the highest of all stations after the Station of Prophethood. Whoever receives his spiritual education through the teachings of the Naqshabandi Order may hope to reach, finally, to the Station of “Siddiq”, the Station of Absolute Truthfulness. In every religion this Station of “Siddiq” is the utmost horizon of devotion to the Truth, particularly in Islam. We thank Allah Almighty for His leading us toward that level, towards a brightness that is like the most shinning planet in the sky, Venus, among the other stars and planets. We are yet beginners seeking to reach that level and we pray that our Lord will not look at our shortcomings but grant us His Divine Help so that we may reach that distant goal. Therefore, the Tariqat-an-Naqshbandiyya, (as it is passed down through Abu Bakr As- Siddiq), activates the souls of the Murids to whatever extent the Murid can bring his desires to accord with the desires of his Sheikh. The first step though is to start on the lowest level, using the way of the four Imams. If you do not come down to the lowest level you can’t reach higher levels. Mowlana Sheikh Nazim (qad) says, “I am someone who has been authorized as guidance on that perfect way of the distinguished Naqshabandi Order. The Naqshabandi Tariqat is like a sky covering the whole world. Who is going to be on that place are not common people, but aristocracy attending for malik’s presence. For example, they have been invited to a royal reception and until His Majesty, the King arrives, they are not sitting. Why? Because high-level protocol people do not sit down before His Majesty comes, and they honor him (by remaining standing). O Salafi `ulamas! Also, if you are there you are also not sitting! You are also fearing from jalaalatu ‘l-malik to see you sitting! It is okay to remain standing because you are waiting for His Majesty to arrive. You are saying it is adab for such a meeting, to meet His Majesty, the King. Even for such a meeting it is permitted, but can you, Salafi `ulamas, be there if you are not sitting, waiting for jalaalatuh to come? You are saying it is high respect to the highest one in this kingdom. So, you are knowing everything! But if anyone is standing up for the holy name of the Seal of Prophets (s), you say it is bida`, haraam, shirk, kufr! From where did you learn such foolish ideas? During the Night Journey, it has been related that the Seal of Prophets (s) said, “I met some angels during the Night Journey; they never sat, only they stood and glorified Allah Almighty.” Yusaabihoon Allah qiyaaman mundhu khalaqahum Allah jalla wa `ala, “The angels are glorifying Allah since the time Allah created them.” (From this we know) anyone who stands for the Most Honored Name of our Lord, “Allah,” that is t`azheem, glorifying, to give their highest respect. Angels are standing throughout their lives, since the day their Lord created them, glorifying the Majesty of their Creator. And their Creator, the Lord of all Creation, is happy that they are standing up and giving their highest glorifying. There is in Shari`ah, qiyaas, an analogy, and this hadith shareef: man tashabbaha bi-qawmin fahuwa minhum. Who imitates a people is one of them. Yes, if we are making an analogy, look at the angels standing up! If we are standing up and giving our most high respects, it is a refused thing? Why you are not saying? You are saying it is bida`. You stand until His Majesty, the King arrives; what is the heavenly judgment for that? Why you are not saying, "He is just like us and we are not going to stand up." Why? Do it! O Wahabi People! And secondly, the Seal of Prophets (s) was seeing on another level of Heavens, angels who are always in ruku, never standing up. But they are making ruku when our Lord's Name is mentioned (Mawlana stands and bows in ruku`). “O our Lord.” You are saying, “Just angels. Bida`! No signs from Shari`ah.” You are not understanding Shari`ah! (Mawlana Shaykh sits) And you are not believing in the Night Journey. If you are believing in the Night Journey, you may look and know there were countless angels glorifying their Lord in ruku`. We may do that when His Holy Name is declared; it is for us to make ruku`, to bow. Angels are making and we can do also. If we are making or bowing ourselves for glorifying our Lord, how can you say, “That is bida`; we never saw such a thing in shari`atullah," and you are understanding shari`atullah? Study the Night Journey; try to learn deep meanings of what is going to be granted through Ummat al-Habeeb. Therefore, we are weak and standing up (for that honor) and you also know that! O Salafi `ulamas! I am saying, but I am ashamed to say, that you know. You don’t know; you know nothing. All your followers are from Wahabi no-mind people, who never taste the glorifying of Allah (swt) that is granted to one: the most beloved in the Divinely Presence, most honored one. But I am sorry that doctors of Shari`ah and `ulama Azhari ’sh-shareef are not standing up to defend Ahl as- Sunnah wa ’l-Jama`ah, and they will be punished also. I am only a small servant, trying to defend Ahl as-Sunnah wal-Jama`ah. Why those Azhari ’sh-shareef `ulamas are writing so many books? If there is no pillow, put (their boks) under your head and sleep on them! Why you are writing? What you are saying? Why you are not fighting, jihaad fee sabeelillah, struggling in the Way of Allah (swt), to defend haqeeqatu ’l-Islam, “Real Islam”. If you are not doing that, noor will be taken from your faces and a darkness will come. Then, at your last moment, you will look like some other creature and a bad smell will come from you, and people will run from you. O `ulama Ahl as-Sunnah wal-Jama`ah! Every night you can see the shining planet of Venus and the moon. If you claim to see someone clearly on Venus, but not to see a thing on the moon, can that be accepted by positive knowledge? How is it possible that people see more clarity in Jesus Christ* who was 2000 years ago, when everything they know has been passed on to them through books? Why would the knowledge of another miraculous person, which has been brought to them in the same way, claiming that he too is a prophet, be ignored? Did their books come from Heavens, or were they written by men? Were the Gospels written by angels without a mistake? Can the mind accept why one is acceptable and the other one isn't? We believe in Jesus*, in Moses*, in the Old Testament and the New Testament without losing our faith. But they say, that if they would believe in Muhammad* they would lose their faith. Why? Jewish people refuse both: Jesus Christ* and Sayyidina Muhammad*? What was wrong with Jesus Christ*? He was from their tribe, he was from the Children of Israel, he was a practising Jew! If Allah will give a judgement to all of this, what would it be? Would He say that they gave their best? If you refuse someone who is respecting you? This is why the power of Christianity has stopped. It cannot give any spirituality to the hearts of people. On my way from Barcelona to here, there were so many monasteries. But they are empty, they are dead monasteries. Even the churches are for sale. What does it mean? People are not interested. Many new villages in Europe are now being built without churches. People go to cathedrals like they go to museums: to see old paintings. That is not what it was meant for. But still the heads of Christianity are not accepting Islam as a religion, as part of the same religion! It doesn't matter. If anyone wants to accept that Muhammad* is a Prophet of Allah, or not, is up to them. To be in safety you must accept all. If a Christian or Jew now says, "La illa'ha il la'Llah, Muhammadu rasul Allah" and becomes a Muslim, he will neither lose his Christianity nor the fact that he is from the tribe of Moses. We are not disputing that Jesus* is the spirit of Allah, nor that Moses* represents the Word of Allah. TRUTH OF TARIQAT and THE NAQSHABANDI ORDER The ways of real faith, the ways that our Holy Prophet Muhammad (Sal) showed us through Abu Bakr as-Siddiq (ral) and Seyyidina Ali (ral) and which were passed down through the Companions (Sahaba) of the Prophet Muhammad (sal) and Awliya (saints) to us are known as the Way of the Tariqats. While Shariah teaches us worship, Tariqat teaches us the way to keep Adab (good manners) with our Lord and to attain to His Divine Presence. There are two kinds of Iman, faith. One is real and the other is imitative. The real brings light to the heart of a person, until then he is only imitating faith. The signs of real faith are three. The first is the ability to listen to the tasbih ( Zikr – paying praise and respects to their Lord) of all creatures. According to Quran there is nothing in existence that does not do tasbih (glorify the Lord), not even inanimate objects. The second is Allah’s opening of his heart to the fountain of wisdom, giving knowledge of all things in existence, their position and their purpose. Thirdly, there are no more veils between him and Barzakh, the heavenly worlds. He may meet anyone – any Prophet or Saint from Barzakh without hindrance. Until these three signs appear know that you are veiled and not open to the light of Iman. Tariqats are preparing Murids (follerwers) for real faith. The meaning of Murid is one who is asking for real faith. The Prophet (Sal) said to keep religion in this time is more difficult than keeping burning coal in one’s hand. We must be patient in the face of adversity. Allah gives to those who are enduring disliked trials, endless reward. This is the way of real faith, like the way of Prophets and Awliya, to endure the badness of people.

There are many veils between us and our heavenly positions. The training that a Murid undergoes at the hands of his Sheikh is to prepare him for the Divine Presence. As the Murid passes each trial, veils are removed by his Sheikh until finally all veils are removed and the Murid is in the Divine Presence. Only someone who has attained to the Divine Presence and has been authorized by the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Sal) has the knowledge to remove these veils. Therefore, in Order for one to attain to the Divine Presence, one must give allegiance to the Sheikh of a Tariqat by taking Bayyath (Connection or Oath of Allegiance) from him and follow his teachings. When a Murid obeys his Sheikh’s every command, in doing so he would be passing all the trials given to him and thereby achieving a position of trust with his Sheikh. When the Sheikh finds the Murid trustworthy, he rends the veils between the Murid and the Divine Presence. When each veil is removed the Murid is treated to a new experience where new horizons of knowledge are made available to him. With the removal of each veil also comes Certainty (yakeen). The Murid’s faith becomes established in this manner and continues to do so until he completely submits to the will of Allah Almighty. All Tariqats are ways to the Divine Presence. The Sheikh of a Tariqat is able to communicate with his Sheikh who is able to communicate with his Sheikh and so on till the end of the chain where the first Sheikh of the Tariqat is in communication with the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Sal). The Sheikh is also directly in communication with the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Sal). In addition to this, in attaining the Divine Presence the Sheikh was given higher and secret knowledge. By this method the Sheikh has perfect guidance in everything. We are in darkness and in need of lights, the light of Prophethood to inform us what is ahead generally, and the light of Sainthood to guide us to our personal destinations. Our destination is Heaven. We can’t see it unless by a distinguished Order from Allah and His Prophet (sal). Reality is a precious thing, not given to many. Naqshabandi Tariqat. The Holy Prophet (Sal) said of the last times that, the only gate open would be the gate of Abu Bakr as-Siddiq (Ral) which is the origin of the Naqshabandi Tariqat. During the Hijra (migration) of the Holy Prophet (Sal) he was accompanied by Abu Bakr as-Siddiq (ral) to Medina, they took refuge in the cave of “Thaur” from their antagonists. While in the cave, Abu Bakr as-Siddiq (ral) in utmost fear for the plight of Islam, said to the Holy Prophet (sal) “our enemies are so many and we are only two”. The Holy Prophet (Sal) replied “No, we are three”. He meant that apart from the two of them there was also Allah Most High. At which instant was heard a myriad of voices saying “Allahu Allahu Allahu Haqq” which is the Oath of Allegiance to the Naqshabandi Tariqat. This was the birth of the Naqshabandi Tariqat. At this moment Abu Bakr as Siddiq (ral) summoned the spirits of all those who were chosen on the Day of Promises to be the 7007 Imams of the Naqshabandi Tariqat into the cave. They in turn summoned the souls of all those who were chosen to be their Murids on the Day of Promises into the cave. The myriad of voices in the cave belonged to the souls of all future followers of the Naqshabandi Tariqat and who were with Allah Most High at that instant. Only those who were present in the cave of “Thaur” on that day would be destined to become followers of the most distinguished Naqshabandi Tariqat from that time till “Qiyama”. The Naqshabandi Order originated in the Heart of the Prophet Muhammad (sal), and its authority was passed down through Abu Bakr (ral) from one Master to the next in an unbroken chain of succession reaching into our time. To the heart of Abu Bakr (ral), the first Khalipha, the Prophet passed on the full inner truth of his teachings. Since Abu Bakr, among all the Prophet’s (sal) companions, was the only one to receive the full inner truth from the Prophet’s heart, the Naqshabandi Order inherits the fullest and finest of these Prophetic teachings. For as the Holy Prophet, in a well-known tradition, said: “Everything that has been poured into my heart I have poured into the heart of Abu Bakr”. Abu Bakr (ral) was called “Siddiq” or “The Completely Veracious One”.

The station of “Siddiq” is the highest of all stations after the Station of Prophethood. Whoever receives his spiritual education through the teachings of the Naqshabandi Order may hope to reach, finally, to the Station of “Siddiq”, the Station of Absolute Truthfulness. In every religion this Station of “Siddiq” is the utmost horizon of devotion to the Truth, particularly in Islam. We thank Allah Almighty for His leading us toward that level, towards a brightness that is like the most shinning planet in the sky, Venus, among the other stars and planets. We are yet beginners seeking to reach that level and we pray that our Lord will not look at our shortcomings but grant us His Divine Help so that we may reach that distant goal. Therefore, the Tariqat-an-Naqshbandiyya, (as it is passed down through Abu Bakr As- Siddiq), activates the souls of the Murids to whatever extent the Murid can bring his desires to accord with the desires of his Sheikh. The first step though is to start on the lowest level, using the way of the four Imams. If you do not come down to the lowest level you can’t reach higher levels. Mowlana Sheikh Nazim (qad) says, “I am someone who has been authorized as guidance on that perfect way of the distinguished Naqshabandi Order.
